This valance is STUNNING! I had been looking for delicate white window treatments and FELL IN LOVE with this shade when I first saw it! The batiste is a delicate cotton, very lightweight, very sheer, PERFECT for the airy look I wanted. The swiss dot pattern is a very feminine statement without going over the top, especially since the bottom of the shade has a GORGEOUS embroidered lace hem! The ONLY REASON I gave this balloon shade four stars for quality is because of the plastic rings. One of the large rings broke as I was getting the shades set how I wanted them! However, since I'm using the shades as a valance, once I got them set, I knew I wouldn't be changing them. I used this as a valance over the Simply Shabby Chic embroidered voile panels and they go together perfectly! see less

If you look at the material close up, you see a lot of loose thread ends. Luckily, when you hang it up, the flaws are hidden in the folders, and the result in a soft, romantic look that's just what I was looking for. Note that the material is very sheer, so it won't block any light. see less

I wanted some balloon shades for my daughter's nursery. I didn't want to pay a fortune and I also didn't need them to function in any specific way. These turned out to be just perfect. They are very pretty and although not super high quality they still give the right look. As a suggestion, to really help it to balloon just right these should be ironed and starched . . . this made a big difference! see less

We bought 3 for our daughter's large playroom, and love them! You get what you pay for, I was just glad to find cute curtains I liked and didn't have to have any made. They contain only one layer of fabric, and the background being white, I was worried about light shining through the material. We do have plantation shutters on all the windows, and I'm sure that helps. I am impressed that the light doesn't shine through, and you can clearly see the true bright colors! The colors in the actual valance are brighter than the product picture online, the red is truer and not so cranberry, and the orange, yellow, and light green are brighter and more prominent in the actual valance. I'm glad it is brighter in real life, that's what I was hoping for. Colors are red, orange, yellow, light green, dark green, and turquoise, so this goes with lots of color schemes. super cute and trendy! see less

I LOVE the BananaFish Nantucket collection! I was so excited when I received the valance, along with the mobile and bedding, in the mail! The colors are contrasting- the white, pure, rather than too thin and cheap, the navy dark, and the green bright. It's just what we were looking for. I love the preppy look, but it's still appropriate for a baby. I highly recommend this collection, I only wish that they had matching accessories such as garbage cans, lamps, diaper stackers, and hampers! see less

We loved these valances for our daughters room. They can be used for a girl if you use them to your advantage and pair them up with other things. I wish the alligators were a tad bit bigger and had a few more details but it looks great from far away. I wish the sheet would come into stock too! When getting a curtain rod, get an extended one 36 to 72 inches for your window. Also the measurements are listed and are accurate if you look up product specifications. Our windows only took 1 valance each. Pre-measure and you should be good to go! see less

We bought the green panels from another retailer 2 years ago when our DD was 13 months old. They darken the room considerably. The panels are quite thick - the weave is what darkens the room, no lining or coating - so they work well for thermal insulation, too. From an aesthetic point of view, I wish the panels came in different lengths. Our windows are not as long as the panel, so I hemmed them. The panels also pouf when opened and gathered, so I sewed drapery weights to the corners. These are great value for the price, come in fun kid colors, and darken the room considerably. I like that they have both the tab back and the pocket options. see less

I wasn't happy with the indigo curtains when i got them. The color appeared different then it did online. I didn't like the fabric its very heavy n reminds me of a spandex pant material. Also i bought too many panels thinking that i would be able to open the curtain in the middle. But it just didn't lay well n it looks very bunchy at the top where you stick the curtain in the curtain rod. They are also pretty expensive considering they weren't what i imagined. see less

I wasn't very pleased with these, and ultimately ended up returning them. I wanted something neutral, and this was the "cutest" thing I could find. The valences (I ordered 2) came in and I was so displeased with the purchase! Not only was the fabric really lightweight, but there were hanging threads, and the colors were not as vibrant as the photo shows. I like vibrant colors, and I did not exactly get what I wanted. I received two of these valances as a shower gift with the Provence set. It is made out of the same denim-like flower patterned material that is used in the bedding set and diaper stacker, so this valance wraps up the look if you have all of those pieces. If you're matching it to another bedding set that you have, you will not be disappointed to have purchased this valance as the material is very sturdy, washes well and doesn't need to be ironed if you pull it out of the dryer in a reasonable amount of time.I would simply be aware that the rod-pocket on this valance is smaller than the width of a traditional metal curtain rod. Instead of using that type of rod, I ended up putting the valances on a cafe-style rod that was a smaller diameter. It looks great so if you prefer that style (or can't find a regular curtain rod that will fit), it will work out just fine.The window in my nursery is a shade over 48" wide. For a window of that size, I would go with 2 (or more) valances to get the right look. Overall, we are very pleased with this product and are not disappointed to have registered for it. The quality for the price is amazing, especially considering that comparable items by other brands can easily cost up to three or four times more. This is a durable fabric with a sweet patten on a great color. Definitely recommend. see less

I love the window valance! I have two windows in my babies nursery, so I had to order to valances and just love them. They go very well with the Garden collection! The quality was great, we had no problems with them at all!! If you are thinking about getting the wall decals, which I highly recommend, that go with the Garden collection then the valances are a must...it really helps tie the whole theme in to the room! :) see less

I love the colors and patterns of this valance and that it goes with the crib set, but when we hung it there were random strings of thread and pieces of fuzz stuck inside the valance that you could see because of the light from the window shining through. My husband and I had to make small incisions in the material and take the thread/fuzz out with tweezers. see less

I fell in love with this nursery set online and decided to purchase the valance to get an idea of color. I was very disappointed with the quality of fabric. It was made of a rough almost burlap type of material and seemed to be cheaply made. After reading reviews on the rest of the bedding set I found the sheets and other items also got similar reviews, saying they were rough and scratchy. So, I decided to go with a totally different nursery theme. It was very disappointing because I loved the colors and style of this set but was afraid the whole ensemble would be scratchy and of poor material, like the valance. I would not recommend. see less
