I have this board in two sizes, and don't understand the previous reviewers being upset with this board showing cut marks! Um, isn't that the point of a cutting board? To provide a surface under the food you're cutting that will give way to your knife and prevent it from dulling? That's the reason you shouldn't actually cut on glass cutting boards or other hard surfaces because it can dull your knives quickly. I this this product is great, but I guess if you're concerned with a poly board showing cut marks, don't get the black, get a lighter color where the marks won't show up as easily. see less

This is a great cutting board, especially for the price! Of course you can see some cut marks, but what do you expect from a cutting board?! The coloring looks good and help hide stains that white boards inevitably show. Also, I love that it can go right into my dishwasher as opposed to wooden boards. I'm very happy with this product and have bought myself two more because I use it every day! see less

I got this cutting board as a Christmas gift, and it broke in half by mid-March. I never put it in the dishwasher and occasionally conditioned it with mineral oil, so I'm not sure why. It hadn't even shown any signs of weakening-- just set it in the sink one night after using and when I went to wash it after dinner, it was in two pieces. Too bad - the board was a perfect size for cutting vegetables. see less

We bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother and two months later the cutting board is broken in half. They used it regularly for fruits, vegetables, and meats. For a cutting board as thick and expensive as this one, we thought it would have lasted years! Very disappointed by this purchase and now looking up warranty information. see less

I registered for this cutting board and ended up very disappointed when, a month into using it, it cracked. I even bought food safe wood oil to condition it, but now it won't even balance on the feet because of the warping that has ensued. Regret this gift...big time! see less

I wish I could rate this with negative stars. I too purchased this as a gift and it was cracked and shedding splinters into my food within 2 weeks. This product should be taken off the market. Not only is it a rip-off, wood splinters in food is dangerous. Target, there is NO way that this product doesn't get returned one hundred percent of the time, PLEASE discontinue! see less

Love this cutting board! I was worried about the dark color but it looks great with my granite and I even use it to serve cheese and bread! There are more expensive Pizza Peels on the market. This one wasn't intended to be a wall-hanger or a little used piece of artwork for a stylish kitchen wall. Although a little too thin in the thickness of the entire peel, it works and does the job sliding pizzas in an out of an oven. What else can I say? It's a pizza peel. If you want a more stylish designer wall hanger and something that is more pleasing on the eyes, then look to the other Pizza peels in the $$ range. see less

I recently bought this cutting board mainly for the fact that it had a strainer that wouldn't move when i poured things like pasta into it .gives me a third hand. but i now use it for everything. it makes it so nice for cutting all my veggies and fruits right over the sink and then i just toss them into the stainer on one side, and the peels or ends of the veggies go into the other side of the sink to the garbage disposal. Its so convenient and makes tasks like these go quick. Its durable and easy to wash too see less

I really wish I had a review to read before buying this which is why I'm writing this now. The item is misleading but still ok. The black it shows here is not how it looks. Its black with a bluish back color. Still pretty, but not what you'd expect. Also, the pattern is a piece of photo paper stuck to the bottom of some glass. If your buying for decoration purposes, awesome. If you actually want to use it, good luck trying to not get the paper wet when washing. Its sturdy, thick, and has rubber stoppers on the bottom to keep from sliding. Its beautiful but you canr really use it. see less

This cutting board is big and heavy. Worth the money. The only broblem I have is if you cut onions,garlic or any thing that has an order you just can't wash it off with dish detergent- you have to use bleach and let it sit to get the smell out. I am really happy with this purchase. I was a little nervous about spending the money on this and then worried it would break or warp. But I haven't had any issues with it yet and I've been using it for two months. I really like the endgrain because it doesn't get knife cuts on the board. I looked all over for endgrain boards and everywhere but target wanted a fortune for them. I would really reccomend this to anyone who likes to cook or knows someone who likes to cook. see less

I received this board as a birthday gift from my husband this year. It's beautiful! I use it regularly and love the professional look and feel of it-really gourmet. One drawback, though; it doesn't come with any slip prevention. You will need to either lay a slip-proof mat underneath or, as my husband did, create slip-proof "feet" by screwing rubber knobs into the corners. That made all the difference! It needs regular maintenance in the form of oil treatments and darkens beautifully with use. I'm very happy with this board. see less

I've had this board for a little more than a month or so now and I am very satisfied with it. It's a good weight, large and doesn't slide around. I've been using mineral oil on it after cleaning and a deep rich color has set in, very nice. I think the price is good as a John Boos cutting board similar to this one would probably cost about [..] or more. It's easy on my knives too, doesn't dull them. I recommend it very much. see less

I rubbed it down with mineral oil and yet it continues to crack and it is warping. This looked like such a nice board and I loved the weight of it. This is no wimpy board, but it is a disappointment.
