After checking it out in my local store, I purchased it and set it up at home. The lamp is perfectly bright, very stylish, not bulky at all, and the clamp is secure.I have it clamped sideways. We searched many stores looking for a good quality LED desk lamp that was bendable, well made, and not cheap looking. This is a great little lamp and have purchased several more for other rooms on our home.. My husband even figured a way to attach it to the back of the headboard on either side of the bed for night lamps and they are awesome. Highly recommend. see less

I picked up one of these lamps at my local Target store to replace a cheapo goose-neck desk lamp I have had for years that finally fell apart. I use it on my bedside table primarily as a reading lamp and it works great! The build quality seems quite solid, certainly better than the $10 lamp it replaced and the base is well weighted, very tip-resistant. The LED bulb (actually a cluster) is more focused, whiter, runs cooler, and uses half the power of the 10 watt CFL it replaces.I was pleasantly surprised at the evenness and excellent bright-white color of the light produced by this lamp. Definitely up to the task of reading or lighting a computer desk. Also, the cool, even, and very bright nature of the light, combined with the relatively long and flexible neck should make it great for close-up lighting of crafts and hobbies. You could bring the light right next to your work and get a very bright, even illumination of critical bits (sewing, modeling, painting, soldering, etc) without worrying about burning your hand or over-heating your project. It's head is also very small, meaning it won't block sight-lines to your work.Only negatives I can find are that the power cord is not very long, and has a wall-wart. If the transformer had been put in the base of the lamp instead of on the plug it would have made using this lamp with power-strips much easier. Also, the transformer is permanently attached, so it could provide problems for people who want to use the lamp on a desk with integral cable management slots/holes (the transformer is pretty small, but if your desk has small cable-management paths it could be a deal-breaker). see less

This lamp makes a perfect reading light for your nightstand. A little smaller in size than you might expect but suitable enough for reading in bed. The lamp has flexible adjustment points that stay firmly in place after positioning. The lamp is bottom heavy at its base so it won't tip even when extended all the way. It doesnt throw a lot of heat into your space because its lit by L.E.D. and not an incandescent bulb, plus it saves energy. Small but powerful, and the switch is well placed on the base. Its sleek and classy with a modern- contemporary look with clean lines that should go well with most furnishings. It wont use much space or energy. I bought two and I am very satisfied. Gone from my bedroom are my bulky lamps and shades that collect dust. One thing this reviewer would change is the sticker that comes on the base of the lamp. It is quite difficult to remove without leaving some of the glue behind. It is very laborious and inconvenient to remove it cleanly. But that is the extent of my negative experience thus far. I just got this lamp yesterday and am soooo happy with it that I ordered another one last night. It is the coolest lamp ever! I didn't even know about the on/off touch feature. There's no on or off switch, you just touch the lamp anywhere and it goes on or off. Super cool. I don't know what that other reviewer was talking about the base not being weighted... mine is. I'm a huge fan of chrome and this suits me juuuust fine! : ) see less

I didn't give it 5 stars because it was the same problem everyone has said about dim lighting. However, I knew that going in and didn't expect it to light up my life. I bought it more of an accent piece on my home office desk and I can't tell you how much I like it. About 4 people have seen it and asked what it was. All commented how much they liked it. They say what is that, and I tell them to touch it. It will always start a conversation. Not a single regret, even if the light goes out I will still keep this beautiful piece. see less

I was in a rush before the store closed and grabbed this lamp. At first I though "Hey, it's cute" then when I got home and put it on my sleek black desk, it looked like a cheap piece of plastic. The organizer is pretty shallow too. The design of this lamp just doesn't seem to be sturdy or good quality at all. I got this over a year ago, and considering how little I use it when I should be using it all the time, I'm just going to buy a new lamp of a different style.I used the bulb it came with for a while, until it burnt out (don't remember how long that took) then I put in a lower wattage CLF bulb in the hopes that it wouldn't be too bright, and it's still blindingly bright. I'm not sure if it's because the shade is clear+white or not, but no matter what you do, it fills the room with blinding light, and you can't look anywhere in the general direction of the lamp. Which is a bad thing if what you're doing is near the lamp, like most things you turn a lamp on for. It's gotten to the point where people refuse to come in the room if I have the lamp on.Also while I loved the idea of the organizer, the main reason I bought the lamp, I find it to be impractical. The cups are too shallow, so you can't put anything tall in them. I've also had problems with it off-weighing the lamp and causing instability. I can't tell you how many times I've had this lamp fall off the desk and dump everything out of it. Because of this I quit putting stuff in it months ago, because I got tired of picking everything up and trying to put it all back. The base just doesn't weigh enough, and adding items makes it worse rather than better.Btw, I didn't have any melting issues like one reviewer, I feel like that must have been a fluke. see less

In response to the reviewer who said the LED would burn out. That is simply not true. If something breaks, it would not likely be the LED (which is essentially a chip, nothing to burn out like in an incandescent bulb. So there are no replacement "bulbs" because it doesn't need it, the LED will outlast everything else the lamp is made of), instead the wiring or connections may have been damaged. In that case, I would question the quality of the lamp that was bought, but so far I have had mine for about 1.5 months it is great and although my girlfriend thinks it's too white and bright, I quickly got used it it. see less

I wanted two bedside lamps that were very minimal and these worked out perfectly. The only problem I had was the cord came down through the middle of the acrylic base, and was very visible. Since the accent wall of my bedroom is dark, the cord stuck out like a sore thumb. I ended up gluing the cord so that it followed the outer edges of the base. see less

I recently purchased an acrylic media console for my living room and loved the idea of how well the clear acrylic just seems to go with any decor and any colors. This purchase is what ultimately inspired me to choose this lamp. After searching in Target.com, I noticed this lamp and decided to check it out in person. I found it in my local store and thought it was good. It's a low, basic lamp. It measures 13.75in.H, 10.75in.W, 5in.D. This measurement includes the lampshade which comes with the lamp. It provides a decent amount of light. What you can't really tell from the picture is how it is designed. It's basically an acrylic frame. Because it's sitting on my dresser, I have some face care items and perfume sitting inside of the actual lamp to alleviate some space. It's a good lamp and serves its purpose...not badly priced either. Definitely adds a feeling of modernity to the space but in a very quiet and invisible way. see less
