Chairs look just like in the picture -- sleek and stylish. They also feel very sturdy, and I don't worry about them not lasting. We've had them about 3 months now. The only annoying thing was that inserting the stoppers into the bottom of the legs was agonizing! They're a very tight fit, and there's no tool to help get the job done. My fingers were sore for days. I'd also advise to be careful when inserting those stoppers NOT to push the wood part of the chair up against something else, because we caused a small scratch doing that. Overall, very happy with the purchase! see less

I ordered these chairs on Saturday and by Wednesday, they were at my door. Putting together was a breeze. All parts and instructions were included. I decided to pair two of these with the Avington Laguna chairs, and I love them together. The legs of the two different styles are slightly different colors...one being espresso --Laguna--and the other being black--Smoke.I can hardly tell the difference under the table. I have been looking for dining chairs for a long time and these were by far the best value and prettiest that I have found. I received these chairs today and I am very pleased. They are VERY sturdy, a bit heavy which keeps them well-grounded and nicely made. 100 percent solid wood furniture is hard to come by these days and when you do find it, it costs a fortune so these were a decent deal. There are two things I want to note ONE,The color is much darker in person than on screen. It is more of a "pea soup green" than a "pistachio". I personally will have to let the color grow on me. It is not ugly, just darker TWO, The chair assembly is a bit of a pain. There are a lot of washers, bolts and screws that must be affixed, however, it's not this hardware that makes the assembly a pain rather, it is the tight spaces and odd angles you have to use the provided Allen wrench and "mini wrench" in. You need a little bit of time and some patience so you don't end up scratching or knicking the paint/wood. Also, you need a screwdriver at the end. 100 percent solid wood, decent price, nicely made, easy assembly. Deal. see less

I love these chairs. I had bought a dining table second hand, and was looking for the perfect set of chairs. These are it! They are very comfortable and sleek. The height of the back hits me, and many of my friends and family in a perfect spot. Great support. I bought the blue and green sets and felt the colors were well represented, at least on my computer. I did take into account some of the chipping comments, and gave them three coats of poly. This maybe took me an hour for six chairs, which includes taking the legs off to spray the seats. Even with having to buy the two cans of spray poly., these chairs were a steal. I got these on sale, which was even better. They were also very easy to put together, no problems whatsoever. I would definitely recommend these chairs. see less

I ordered two sets of these chairs in red for my dining room. They arrived faster than anticipated. Putting them together was a breeze. Didn't need any tools aside of what was included, and it took about 30 minutes to assemble all four. Only issue is with the black footsies. They were hard to insert and they seem to pop out when I sit in the chair. I have very thick carpet so maybe that makes it a bit hard for them to find a foothold. Other than that, they look great, are of better quality than expected and mirror in style of the more expensive Italian original. see less

I read the other reviews before buying and took a chance. All parts and instructions were included and no wobbling or stained fabric for me. Putting them together was really easy, and I decided to pair them with two Avington Smoke chairs. I love the pairing together. The legs of the two sets are slightly different colors...black vs. espresso, but you can't tell under the table. So far I'm very pleased with the purchase, although I haven't had them long. I've been looking for new dining chairs for months, but wouldn't buy them because the price was way too high or I didn't like the print of the fabric. These were a great value and look more expensive than they were. I've had an Avington living room chair for three years and love it, so I'm hoping for the same great quality with these chairs. see less

Once they arrived, I noticed the match wouldn't be perfect, but close enough. The color is a muted white with a matte finish... not quite an "off white", but not a bright white with a semi-gloss finish either. I logged back on to Target today to purchase another set, and figured I'd write a review for them while I was here, as the other review is not very descriptive. I think the price is kinda steep for what you actually get - are they really worth [$] per chair? - so hence the 4-stars on the value. These chairs are really beautiful and look very similar to Pottery Barn. I purchased these on sale and ended up paying roughly [$] and bought 4 of them. Not bad. BUT the quality is OK. The chairs are sturdy but the paint isn't on too thick, as I have already seen a chip or two and like others, there were a couple stains on the white when they came out of the box. I haven't given them a good cleaning yet, to see if that would help. Overall, the chairs are nice and decent qualit. I like my home to look "lived in" so they don't have to be perfect. see less

First off, I really like these chairs. the fabric is thick and they are good quality for the price. However, they have one major drawback for me. It took me 45 minutes to assemble one chair. Lest you think I am just mechanically impaired, I need to inform you I put cheap furniture together all the time. The screws just did not fit well. Sometimes the threads just had something in them and were fine once I cleaned them out. Sometimes the screw wouldn't go in at all and yet other times, the screw would go in about halfway and then get stuck. [...] They are very cute and a great color as they are a true taupe. see less

Purchased this chair for my home office. I was actually impressed by the quality of the material when I first opened the box. It shipped quickly and damage free. I am a little disappointed that the stud portion is actually a strip. Rather than individually stamped into the chair like it looks in the picture, they are connected to each other. Only reason I didn't give 3 stars was b/c from far away or if your not really looking hard at the details, it looks OK. Love the style, perfect height, and so far it's really comfortable.
