We love our new breakfast room table! It's beautiful and sturdy. The top seems to be cat scratch resistant which is nice because I am constantly shoo-ing my stubborn cat off the table. We bought 4 parson chairs to go with it to add some fun design and they also looked to be more comfortable than the matching chairs that are all wood and would need some cushioning. The price is what drew me to this table, and the fold down leaves for saving space. My only complaint so far, is that the leaves were not the same color. One was painted uniformly and the same as the center panel, but the other has a different tint which is noticeable. I may just add a coat of robin's egg blue to the entire top and add some character to as well. My husband and I have a small eating area in our apartment. We do not have children and were just looking for a table for two. I had no trouble putting the table together myself. Once assembled, it felt sturdy, but I feel more secure having one side of the table against a wall. There is enough room for two place settings and several serving dishes. My husband and I just purchased a townhome and were planning on getting two more chairs to make seating for four. I think all of the place settings would fit, there just wouldn't be as much room left over for food dishes, etc. As for stability, if my husband and I had had small children, I think we would have paid more for a sturdier table. This one doesn't wobble, but kids can be destructive. Anyway, I am very pleased with our purchase we made over a year ago and would recommend this table. see less

This table is so worth the money. I was looking for a dark brown pedestal table to use as a game table in my renovated basement. Saw this and wasn't thrilled I had to put it together and really didn't want a dropleaf, but figured I would try it for the money. It is not only beautiful, made of heavy, dark, rich wood, but so simple to put together. I recommend a wratchet to turn the bolts on the inner cylinder as the wrench provided is tough to turn in a tight space. I liked that the screws and bolts were placed in an orderly compartmentalized package and not thrown together in a plastic bag. I don't mind the drop leaf at all anymore as the seams line up nicely and I like that the feet are adjustable for an uneven floor. I bought camel color leather chairs at Pier 1, which cost way more than the table, to complete the look. Simply gorgeous! No one has to know I got this table from Target!!! see less

Except, I looked at this morning and realized that half the table is warped. We left some water on it over night and the composite swelled and now its ruined. Purchased this table and chairs set over the holidays and I am pretty happy so far. This table, is 100 percent solid wood and very nicely made. It is increasingly difficult to find solid wood furniture these days so this is a great find for me. The table is sturdy, a little heavy and very solid. It is the perfect size for a smaller kitchen and is designed very well as you can drop the leafs and set it up against the wall. The only problem I had was that the first table I received had some damage on it and the replacement had a few cosmetic issues from manufaturing that I was not thrilled with. I kept it because I did not want the hassle of doing a third exchange. Please note each table has its own quirks in terms of finish. Great buy for a pretty decent price. This is my second one to own. Very good quality, easy to assemble and looks good. I have a piece of glass, pre cut, on the top. My childhood pics were placed between the glass and table top. Using my own chairs. I use a light coat of car polish to keep the legs and outer rim looking new. The table is very sturdy, the legs are very sturdy and well made. Each leg has an adjustable screw for level. I like keeping a match pack under one leg to keep in that 50s look. Using the one that is soda shop height next to the grill. Makes a perfect work surface for cooking. Overall these tables are a great value and work well in any room. I also had a damaged top on one delivery, but the company sent me another top with in days. How bad can it be. They did not ask for the damaged top back. We used it in the game room with a retro 50s table cloth. When they sent the replacement it had the legs in the package. see less

I love this table! It's the perfect size for our space and I love the slightly distressed look. It doesn't look all beat up or anything, just looks more natural than other tables and won't show scratches or dents as much. I like the oblong look of this table - we could actually seat 6 if we had smaller stools on the longer sides. My only complain on this table is that the leggs aren't a solid block of wood like the previous pub table we had. However, they're shape keeps them sturdy so it still has a very solid feel. Then I thought it was going to be a wobbly mess when I put it upright. Nope! It is solid and level...no wobble. The construction and materials rival what I was seeing in furniture stores at [...]. It was easy to put together and is made of real wood from what I can tell. I would advice NOT to get the ladder back counter stools. I purchased them and they're just too short and uncomfortable. Matches my other Avington items nicely. Only issue was with shipping. It arrived damaged on one side. Enough to make me disappointed but not enough to make me bother with trying to return it. Looks like wood was hit with a hammer. I am glad one side goes against a wall. All fixed. LOL. Unfortunate, but the hassle to return it and hope it doesn't happen again was not worth it to me. One corner chipped as well. Overall the table is solid. Very easy assembly - you screw on 4 legs. Takes maybe 5 minutes. Be sure to re-tighten the screws after you put it upright. Don't drag it across the floor as that puts strain on the legs. The top is super heavy and the legs are pretty skinny considering the weight of the table top, but it isn't a traveling table or being used as a chair for elephants. see less

I recently purchased this table and chairs. I would not recommend the table, it is very unsteady/wobbly. I ended up buying L brackets and putting them on the crossbars that hold attach to the legs. Also, and unfortunately, the leaf on one side does not match up to the center strip of the table. The chairs are high quality, definitely a worthwhile purchase. I ordered the black/oak bar table to go with two 30-inch bar stools that I already had. The table went together very easily and was very well made. The legs even had levelers on the bottom in case the floor was uneven. I was so pleased with the quality and look that I turned around and ordered two matching bar stools so that I could have four seats for my table. I am six-feet tall so I really love the high table. This solid table was easy to put together and looks great. Youll need the long skinny 1x6 inch Phillips screwdriver which I had to go purchase before putting it together though. This tool wasnt mentioned as a prerequisite. Looks like an expensive table, nice! see less

This table arrived on time and was in great condition. It is quality oak and very sturdy. You can just tell by the weight of it. It was very easy to put together, all you had to do was screw on the legs. I had it out of the boxes and set up in like 20 minutes.
