i got this table on [....} for [$]! it was delivered the following [...]. almost a [...] than i was quoted! i didn't have to ask my boyfriend to help me put it together, and it only took me about an hour! when u drop the leafs u can't put it up against the wall, because of the position of legs. but, while it's open i still have plenty of room in my small apartment. i am a happy girl. i highly recommend this table. see less

The price is what drew me to this table, and the fold down leaves for saving space. My only complaint so far, is that the leaves were not the same color. One was painted uniformly and the same as the center panel, but the other has a different tint which is noticeable. I may just add a coat of robin's egg blue to the entire top and add some character to as well. I do not want to have to disassemble it and return it to the store, and it's a very good price for this size table. see less

My husband and I have a small eating area in our apartment. We do not have children and were just looking for a table for two. I had no trouble putting the table together myself. Once assembled, it felt sturdy, but I feel more secure having one side of the table against a wall. There is enough room for two place settings and several serving dishes. My husband and I just purchased a townhome and were planning on getting two more chairs to make seating for four. I think all of the place settings would fit, there just wouldn't be as much room left over for food dishes, etc. As for stability, if my husband and I had had small children, I think we would have paid more for a sturdier table. This one doesn't wobble, but kids can be destructive. Anyway, I am very pleased with our purchase we made over a year ago and would recommend this table. see less

Purchased this table and chairs set over the holidays and I am pretty happy so far. This table, is 100 percent solid wood and very nicely made. It is increasingly difficult to find solid wood furniture these days so this is a great find for me. The table is sturdy, a little heavy and very solid. It is the perfect size for a smaller kitchen and is designed very well as you can drop the leafs and set it up against the wall. The only problem I had was that the first table I received had some damage on it and the replacement had a few cosmetic issues from manufaturing that I was not thrilled with. I kept it because I did not want the hassle of doing a third exchange. Please note each table has its own quirks in terms of finish. Great buy for a pretty decent price. Just make sure you inspect it upon delivery. see less

So upset with this purchase. Loved the table when we first got it. It looks good, is the perfect size for us and was super easy to put together. We don't use it much but its nice to have the option. Except, I looked at this morning and realized that half the table is warped. We left some water on it over night and the composite swelled and now its ruined. This is a "dining" table - who doesn't sometimes spill? How do you avoid water from getting on it? what a waste! see less

This table is so worth the money. I was looking for a dark brown pedestal table to use as a game table in my renovated basement. Saw this and wasn't thrilled I had to put it together and really didn't want a dropleaf, but figured I would try it for the money. It is not only beautiful, made of heavy, dark, rich wood, but so simple to put together. I recommend a wratchet to turn the bolts on the inner cylinder as the wrench provided is tough to turn in a tight space. I liked that the screws and bolts were placed in an orderly compartmentalized package and not thrown together in a plastic bag. I don't mind the drop leaf at all anymore as the seams line up nicely and I like that the feet are adjustable for an uneven floor. I bought camel color leather chairs at Pier 1, which cost way more than the table, to complete the look. Simply gorgeous! No one has to know I got this table from Target!!! see less

This is my second one to own. Very good quality, easy to assemble and looks good. I have a piece of glass, pre cut, on the top. My childhood pics were placed between the glass and table top. Using my own chairs. I use a light coat of car polish to keep the legs and outer rim looking new. The table is very sturdy, the legs are very sturdy and well made. Each leg has an adjustable screw for level. I like keeping a match pack under one leg to keep in that 50s look. Using the one that is soda shop height next to the grill. Makes a perfect work surface for cooking. Overall these tables are a great value and work well in any room. I also had a damaged top on one delivery, but the company sent me another top with in days. How bad can it be. They did not ask for the damaged top back. We used it in the game room with a retro 50s table cloth. When they sent the replacement it had the legs in the package. see less

It doesn't look all beat up or anything, just looks more natural than other tables and won't show scratches or dents as much. I like the oblong look of this table - we could actually seat 6 if we had smaller stools on the longer sides. My only complain on this table is that the leggs aren't a solid block of wood like the previous pub table we had. However, they're shape keeps them sturdy so it still has a very solid feel. It was easy to put together and is made of real wood from what I can tell. I would advice NOT to get the ladder back counter stools. I purchased them and they're just too short and uncomfortable. Looks like wood was hit with a hammer. I am glad one side goes against a wall. All fixed. LOL. Unfortunate, but the hassle to return it and hope it doesn't happen again was not worth it to me. One corner chipped as well. Overall the table is solid. Very easy assembly - you screw on 4 legs. Takes maybe 5 minutes. Be sure to re-tighten the screws after you put it upright. Don't drag it across the floor as that puts strain on the legs. The top is super heavy and the legs are pretty skinny considering the weight of the table top, but it isn't a traveling table or being used as a chair for elephants. see less

As noted by others this table does not have a drawer. However, it is still a terrific value. The table is solid wood, attractively finished, and is easily assembled. Once assembled the table feels very solid. The styling of the table has been improved and is more attractive than shown in the above picture. We could not be more pleased with this purchase.We do recommend that during assembly glides be put on the bottom of the legs. We used Waxman 1 1/8" self-stick "Super Sliders." Besides making the table easier to move the glide's cushioned adhesive helps to level out variances in surface or leg heights. see less

I recently purchased this table and chairs. I would not recommend the table, it is very unsteady/wobbly. I ended up buying L brackets and putting them on the crossbars that hold attach to the legs. Also, and unfortunately, the leaf on one side does not match up to the center strip of the table. The chairs are high quality, definitely a worthwhile purchase. I purchased this table along with the matching counter height stools to decorate our houseboat. We have limited space but this fits perfectly with my decor. My husband took seven years to build the boat and now I am having fun decorating it. This table is super solid and looks great. Quality finish and very sturdy. My only suggestion (and not a complaint) is that you wait until it arrives to buy chairs. My table is definitely a much darker wood than cherry, but that's really what I wanted. Mine is more of a mahogany color and looks great with the dark wood chairs I just bought. Table arrived in perfect condition and was very easy to assemble. Came with the only necessary tool. I am extremely happy with my purchase. see less

I ran into a snag, the pub stools that go with this were too short, so I ordered the Napa vertical slat back stools-30", and they were a perfect match, it was exactly the same espresso stain color. This table was exactly what I expected... it looks great (especially for the price!), though I don't expect it to last a lifetime. Beautiful color and very easy to put together. I have a number of pieces from the Target Avington furniture collection and this matches perfectly. Only downside is that it's a little small. see less

This table was really easy to assemble. Here's what I didn't like about it. First the finish on the surface seemed a little uneven. There appeared to be a "bubble" in the veneer. Second, it's "chunkier" than I thought it would be--the legs are thick and the table lip is thick too. see less

Unfortunately, after receiving this table and attempting to assemble it I realized that one of the bolts was bent awkwardly out of shape. Instead of returning it and waiting another week or two, I decided to bend it back myself. It was very difficult, but everything turned out and the table is set up. It's always very frustrating to pay a lot of money and receive something in a less than perfect condition, and if it is easily repaired I won't send it back. I'm not sure why or how someone could have missed this when packaging the product... see less

I purchased this table about 1 month ago and it is exactly what I expected. It's a nice sturdy table and looks fabulous in our kitchen dining room. We have a 5-year old and a 3-year old and they do a lot of drawing and coloring books on this table and they have accidently colored on the table and it washing right off and still looks brand new. The surface looks like real wood, but without the worry of staining or scratching. It is great for meals and projects. Looks better in person than in the picture.
