My husband and I just bought this dresser last night when I noticed it was on sale. We went to the store, picked up and he put it together as soon as we got home. The color is exactly what I wanted, a little darker than pictured but definitely espresso. The box wasn't damaged and all of the parts were there. My husband put it together in about an hour or so. He is 6' 2" and said it's a good height for him. I'm 5' 2" and it's good for me as well. My husband wishes the drawers opened a little more quietly but I'm okay with them. Very hesitant to buy something I could only see a picture of online and am very impressed. I'll be purchasing the Bentley Crib as soon as it goes on sale. see less

This gets a 5 star rating despite the assembly time b/c you're getting what you pay for - a great value for the style, size and quality of the product. You can order dressers that come fully assembled and you'll pay at least double if not more. The only negative is the number of pieces this comes in which results in the excessive assemply time. That said, all of the pieces and parts were included and none of them were damaged. This was a two person job for sure and I suggest wood glue for the dowels. Once it's together, it looks great. I ordered the dresser along with the crib, changing table, glider and ottoman and I'm pleased with all of the them. see less

My husband and I purchased this and it is absolutely stunning! Yes, it does take a while to put together, but I knew that going into it so I think I was prepared. It took me a long time but in the end, through some trials and perseverance, I DID IT!! You do need a little bit of outside assistance at times but I did it by following the directions step by step. A couple of my drawers didn't fit so I called the company and they sent me the new parts. I did have to wait a while for those but they sent them without any questions. This was a lucky find for us because we had originally purchased a set from another store just to find out that our order had been cancelled because part of the set wasn't available. When this dresser arrived, I was so impressed with how sturdy the wood felt, especially compared to my older son's dresser. The drawers have the metal glides and are very smooth. While it took a bit of time to put together, the directions were straightforward and easy. The part that I like the most is how solid and strong the dresser feels once it is put together and definitely seems long lasting! see less

I bought this online and hoped for the best. I was surprised to find out it was manufactured[...] With a pictures only instructions it was man friendly construction. What was most impressive was the fit and finish of product with the drawers sliding easily open and close. This worked out better than I expected, the only drawback was from the UPS guy who had to tote this up 3 flights of stairs. We purchased this sight unseen and are very pleased with the product. The drawers are very deep and roomy. The wood is solid and built to last. The piece was a little time consuming to put together considering its size. As with every other piece in this collection, be prepared for a strong varnish smell. We have been airing out the room every day and have begun putting vinegar in the drawers to try and remove the smell. But overall a great piece and a good value. see less

I purchased this dresser to replace an old one that got broken during a move. I am very, very happy with the way it looks and operates. It has a very classy appearance despite the handles being plastic- they do look metal in person too. My only disappointment was the railings are plastic and the drawers were not as spacious as I had thought but other than that, the overall quality of the dresser is impressive. It is quite simple to put together .(It was assembled by my sixteen year old boy and my thirteen year old daughter.My only complaint is that it is rather small and will not be able to hold much. apx six pair of childs jeans per drawer folded in a square. see less

I ordered 2-5 drawers pieces, very easy to put together. I dont find the drawers to be very sturdy. With what is provided, after a few uses, the draw fronts come off. And the bottom of each draw seems to bend and eventually falling through. Deeper and better made material is needed. see less

My husband just put this dresser together over the weekend, and it didn't take him long. It's nice looking, has deep drawers, and a great espresso color. It matched perfectly our Graco Lauren espresso crib. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the pegs that are supposed to keep the bottom piece in place did not fit, so he had to go and purchase screws to finish that. Time consuming to assemble but not hard. The drawers are not on rollers, they slide on plastic pieces so there is some cheapness to the product but for the price you get a good dresser. We changed out the knobs for a more custom look. see less

The picture doesn't do this dresser justice.. I thought when I purchased this that I was getting a somewhat low quality dresser for an excellent price. When it came in, it took my husband about an hour or so to put it together, and it was waiting for me when I got home from work. It is really made of good quality material, and I love how the drawers are slide out, not the usual track rollers that can break and fall out of line. This complements our daughter's nursery very well, and I couldn't be happier with what our money got us with this dresser. see less

It was time consuming to put together but my husband and I took our time, followed directions and it came together smoothly. I was upset about a deep scratch that was on the front of the drawer right out of the box. [...] We could have sent back I'm sure but we were in a hurry to get the room set up. Overall, we are satisfied for what we paid for it. I am curious to see how long it holds up since it obviously scratches easy. There were other reviews on this that don't appear to be showing up anymore. They all seemed to be the same that they had trouble putting it together so I knew what I was getting into. I will say that at full price this piece is not worth it, but I bought it on sale and at that price I would say I'm happy w/ my purchase. I personally had no issues at all putting this together and I'm a 37 year old SAHM. I just took my time. My only issue was w/ the drawers. The assembly left the drawer fronts a bit flimsy & I thought that when the drawers where loaded that the fronts may just pull away, so I used wood glue and I''m confident they will hold up. Also, the screws that go into the rail on the side in the final step stuck up too far & wouldn't allow the drawer to push all the way closed smoothly. The screw doesn't actually physically attached the rail to the drawer, it just keeps it from sliding out too far, so I left the screws out until I can find a screw w/ a shorter head. see less

I am a non-mechanically inclined female and I figured out how to put this dresser together. It took many hours, but I got this dresser on sale knowing that assembly could be a problem based on other reviews. If you have the money to go to a furniture store and spend triple, then do it. If not, don't be afraid of it. The cam bolt system is not rocket science - just turn it until it won't turn anymore once you get to that step in the directions, ignore the 2 o'clock visual. If you're putting it together that will make sense. All in all, it looks cute and I will be using it as a changing table in our nursery and have some bonus room for storage, but do not expect high quality or to pass this piece of furniture to your children. see less

I didn't read the reviews until after I bought the dresser and I wish I would have. I am an expert at putting together furniture and this took me about 4 hours to put together. I haven't put anything in it yet, so I am not sure how it will hold up in the future. I bought two of them, one for each daughter. But with the amount of time it took me to put it together, I am contemplating returning the other one because I can't be bothered to put another one together. Luckily I bought them on sale. I am curious to see what the other reviews were like... see less

I am saddened to hear some of the negative reviews, that the quality may have gone down, but I will speak on my experience which has been EXCELLENT! I purchased this dresser, along with the nightstand, almost seven years ago now. I initially got it as a single girl and it endured THREE moves throughout that time, very well. It was PERFECT! Very feminine with that "french country" style that I love. Also the right size & sturdy. Now, as I have an almost 3 month old baby girl, I am using this furniture in her nursery, my husband attached a changing pad to the dresser- so easy!, and it's still PERFECT. I think she'll be able to use it for years to come still, as it continues to be in great shape! see less

We now own four pieces of Shabby Chic furniture. My daughter's previous dresser was from Target as well and it did not hold up well, so I was a little worried about this purchase. However, the dresser has turned out to be very beautiful and sturdy in her room. It was easy to put together and all the little details are really cute. It's a soft off-white color and though it did have a smell to it, I can already tell that it's wearing off as many new furniture pieces do. It's heavy and solid, which I love. I love that there are no unfinished sides, such as backs of drawers, etc. I can tell it's going to last a long time. We love it! see less

We ordered 2 for our girls and they are sturdy and hold everything we need for them. True they are not going to last for years and years. But for the price they should give us good service for at least a couple years. THe finish was beautiful, very smooth and bright. I got this nightstand for my toddler boys room. It is nicely painted and seems more expensive than it is. It is also a large size. I wasn't sure if it would be smaller since it is a kids nightstand but this is a standard roomy nightstand. It has plenty of room on the shelves for books and plenty of space on the table top for a little lamp and other small items or books. My husband put it together in about a half hour and said it was easy. I thought it looked complicated but I never put anything together for fear of ruining it. I think it will hold up well. I'm not looking for it to last forever but I think it will last a very long time. I highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable nightstand with some basic shelving. Earlier in the year, I purchased the Mason bedroom furniture for my little boy even though the nightstand was no longer in stock. When I found this blue one and saw that the color matched perfectly, I was so excited...until I started putting it togther. The middle shelf was too big for the whole thing, and the pre-drilled holes didn't match up on any of the pieces. After 2 HOURS of drilling new holes and doing some major "fudging", I finally got it together. After my re-working, it is fairly sturdy and looks good with my son's bedroom. I like the way it looks but I am SO disappointed in the quality. see less

Looking at this product's instructions was beyond daunting. There were so many pieces and steps but overall it was NOT hard to put together. I did a lot of it myself at 7 months pregnant! My husband did the hammering and any heavy lifting (there wasn't much). Overall it was a smooth process and the end product is perfect!It is a very sturdy piece of furniture for the price, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality! I LOVE that the drawers have stoppers that keep them from sliding all the way out onto little toes, some drawers do not have this option! The cherry color looks lighter online that in person I think. I got this to go with my Graco Charleston crib and changing table for the nursery and it is a tad lighter but not by much! It looks GREAT together as a set! The drawers are NOT flimsy and will hold a good bit of weight, they are also deeper than I thought! One problem I did find was after assembly I noticed 2 small scratches on the top piece but the product comes with a cover up pen and it is hardly noticeable at all...I figure this is going in my sons room and he will do more damage once he gets older so no use worrying about a tiny scratch! I recently bought and returned this dresser my boyfriend and I started to put it together the drawers went together no problem and then when we started to screw in the drawer glides the screws came out of the sides of the dresser. There were pieces of wood everywhere and huge circles with popped out wood and screws on the sides. I called the store to find out about returning it and we had to take it apart so that they would return it came apart no problem, I definitely wouldn't recommend this dresser to anyone and I've purchased and put together alot of Target furniture over the last few years. see less

I'm sorry, the picture looks much BETTER on the web site than in person, it is sooo cheap. Sure it's inexpensive but not a good buy...drawers are very small I can't even use them for my delicates...take my advice...keep shopping...don't waste you're money on this piece. see less
