My husband and I just bought this dresser last night when I noticed it was on sale. We went to the store, picked up and he put it together as soon as we got home. The color is exactly what I wanted, a little darker than pictured but definitely espresso. The box wasn't damaged and all of the parts were there. My husband put it together in about an hour or so. He is 6' 2" and said it's a good height for him. I'm 5' 2" and it's good for me as well. My husband wishes the drawers opened a little more quietly but I'm okay with them. Very hesitant to buy something I could only see a picture of online and am very impressed. I'll be purchasing the Bentley Crib as soon as it goes on sale. see less

This gets a 5 star rating despite the assembly time b/c you're getting what you pay for - a great value for the style, size and quality of the product. You can order dressers that come fully assembled and you'll pay at least double if not more. The only negative is the number of pieces this comes in which results in the excessive assemply time. That said, all of the pieces and parts were included and none of them were damaged. This was a two person job for sure and I suggest wood glue for the dowels. Once it's together, it looks great. I ordered the dresser along with the crib, changing table, glider and ottoman and I'm pleased with all of the them. see less

My husband and I purchased this and it is absolutely stunning! Yes, it does take a while to put together, but I knew that going into it so I think I was prepared. It took me a long time but in the end, through some trials and perseverance, I DID IT!! You do need a little bit of outside assistance at times but I did it by following the directions step by step. A couple of my drawers didn't fit so I called the company and they sent me the new parts. I did have to wait a while for those but they sent them without any questions. This was a lucky find for us because we had originally purchased a set from another store just to find out that our order had been cancelled because part of the set wasn't available. When this dresser arrived, I was so impressed with how sturdy the wood felt, especially compared to my older son's dresser. The drawers have the metal glides and are very smooth. While it took a bit of time to put together, the directions were straightforward and easy. The part that I like the most is how solid and strong the dresser feels once it is put together and definitely seems long lasting! see less

I can't say enough great things about this entire set! It is a better quality than a lot of sets I have seen for a much higher price. I have gotten so many complements on this set when people stop to see the nursery and they can't believe the price! Beyond a great value!!! I particularly love this piece because of its versatility. I started out using it as a hutch piece but it comes with a piece that will convert it into a bookcase. When my son gets older and I want to change things up it will grow with him making it an even greater value. I have to say even if I change the other pieces out in this set over the years I will coninue to use this piece and the dresser. see less

I purchased this piece after buying the crib and dresser. I was so pleased with the vaule, quality, and appearence of the collection that I order the hutch and nightstand as soon as they were available online. I also fully intend to order the toddler rail as soon as it is available. The item arrived in a timely manner, and was OK to assemble. The directions are a little confusing, but if you use common sense it works out fine. I would definitely recommend this product for its value, style, and ability to grow with your child. If you're looking for real wood furniture you obviously won't get it for this cheap. This dresser is very nice looking for the price if you take the time to assemble it carefully and neatly. It does take quite a bit of time to assemble- it's not difficult, just has lots of steps- but it is worth it. It looks great! see less

Time consuming to assemble but not hard. The drawers are not on rollers, they slide on plastic pieces so there is some cheapness to the product but for the price you get a good dresser. We changed out the knobs for a more custom look. see less

This was purchased to go in our son's nursery. Cute piece of furniture for the price. It was time consuming to put together but my husband and I took our time, followed directions and it came together smoothly. I was upset about a deep scratch that was on the front of the drawer right out of the box. [...] We could have sent back I'm sure but we were in a hurry to get the room set up. Overall, we are satisfied for what we paid for it. I am curious to see how long it holds up since it obviously scratches easy. I purchased this dresser to replace an old one that got broken during a move. I am very, very happy with the way it looks and operates. It has a very classy appearance despite the handles being plastic- they do look metal in person too. My only disappointment was the railings are plastic and the drawers were not as spacious as I had thought but other than that, the overall quality of the dresser is impressive. It is quite simple to put together .(It was assembled by my sixteen year old boy and my thirteen year old daughter.My only complaint is that it is rather small and will not be able to hold much. apx six pair of childs jeans per drawer folded in a square. see less

I ordered 2-5 drawers pieces, very easy to put together. I dont find the drawers to be very sturdy. With what is provided, after a few uses, the draw fronts come off. And the bottom of each draw seems to bend and eventually falling through. Deeper and better made material is needed. see less

The picture doesn't do this dresser justice.. I thought when I purchased this that I was getting a somewhat low quality dresser for an excellent price. When it came in, it took my husband about an hour or so to put it together, and it was waiting for me when I got home from work. It is really made of good quality material, and I love how the drawers are slide out, not the usual track rollers that can break and fall out of line. This complements our daughter's nursery very well, and I couldn't be happier with what our money got us with this dresser. see less

I bought this online and hoped for the best. I was surprised to find out it was manufactured[...] With a pictures only instructions it was man friendly construction. What was most impressive was the fit and finish of product with the drawers sliding easily open and close. This worked out better than I expected, the only drawback was from the UPS guy who had to tote this up 3 flights of stairs. We purchased this sight unseen and are very pleased with the product. The drawers are very deep and roomy. The wood is solid and built to last. The piece was a little time consuming to put together considering its size. As with every other piece in this collection, be prepared for a strong varnish smell. We have been airing out the room every day and have begun putting vinegar in the drawers to try and remove the smell. But overall a great piece and a good value. see less

This dresser is perfect. I bought it for a dresser/ changing table for my baby girl's nursery. Set up was 2 hours and a little complicated, but after it was set up, I was so pleased! I decided to keep it in my room and buy another. I was worried about it being a little short, but the height is perfect for me and i'm 5'8. In the store, the model seemed wobbly and cheap, but it's VERY sturdy and heavy, and it's not going anywhere. The color and shine is so pretty and it looks so much better than I could have expected. see less

My husband just put this dresser together over the weekend, and it didn't take him long. It's nice looking, has deep drawers, and a great espresso color. It matched perfectly our Graco Lauren espresso crib. Only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the pegs that are supposed to keep the bottom piece in place did not fit, so he had to go and purchase screws to finish that. I am saddened to hear some of the negative reviews, that the quality may have gone down, but I will speak on my experience which has been EXCELLENT! I purchased this dresser, along with the nightstand, almost seven years ago now. I initially got it as a single girl and it endured THREE moves throughout that time, very well. It was PERFECT! Very feminine with that "french country" style that I love. Also the right size & sturdy. Now, as I have an almost 3 month old baby girl, I am using this furniture in her nursery, my husband attached a changing pad to the dresser- so easy!, and it's still PERFECT. I think she'll be able to use it for years to come still, as it continues to be in great shape! see less

We now own four pieces of Shabby Chic furniture. My daughter's previous dresser was from Target as well and it did not hold up well, so I was a little worried about this purchase. However, the dresser has turned out to be very beautiful and sturdy in her room. It was easy to put together and all the little details are really cute. It's a soft off-white color and though it did have a smell to it, I can already tell that it's wearing off as many new furniture pieces do. It's heavy and solid, which I love. I love that there are no unfinished sides, such as backs of drawers, etc. I can tell it's going to last a long time. We love it! see less

I got this nightstand for my toddler boys room. It is nicely painted and seems more expensive than it is. It is also a large size. I wasn't sure if it would be smaller since it is a kids nightstand but this is a standard roomy nightstand. It has plenty of room on the shelves for books and plenty of space on the table top for a little lamp and other small items or books. My husband put it together in about a half hour and said it was easy. I thought it looked complicated but I never put anything together for fear of ruining it. I think it will hold up well. I'm not looking for it to last forever but I think it will last a very long time. I highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable nightstand with some basic shelving. Earlier in the year, I purchased the Mason bedroom furniture for my little boy even though the nightstand was no longer in stock. When I found this blue one and saw that the color matched perfectly, I was so excited...until I started putting it togther. The middle shelf was too big for the whole thing, and the pre-drilled holes didn't match up on any of the pieces. After 2 HOURS of drilling new holes and doing some major "fudging", I finally got it together. After my re-working, it is fairly sturdy and looks good with my son's bedroom. I like the way it looks but I am SO disappointed in the quality. see less

I purchased two of these night stands and am overall quite pleased. The stand is the perfect height for my bed, it is sturdy, and the drawer glides smoothly. My only complaints would be that the backing is the natural particle board color rather than black and although the top and trim look good now, I worry that it will easily scuff and ding. We ordered 2 for our girls and they are sturdy and hold everything we need for them. True they are not going to last for years and years. But for the price they should give us good service for at least a couple years. THe finish was beautiful, very smooth and bright. I bought this table thinking it would be great for recharing iPads, Kindles, and phones. No dimensions were given, but since it was a kids table, I thought it would be good. Dimensions are 15.5" wide, 15" deep, and 24" high. I have put together much more complicated pieces than this one. I got to the last step and the final holes did not match up. I ended up using small metal bracket to finished the job. It serves my purpose, but I would never buy this for a child's room. see less

What a pain to discover 2 of the required holes were not pre-drilled into one of the pieces. We were able to get out the electric drill and drill them ourselves, but that's not the point. Also, one of the other holes did not line up how it was supposed to, so one leg cannot be screwed into the top piece securely. Disappointed, I guess you get what you pay for.... see less

The dresser looks great, a little darker than I thought, but I like that it is. Took my husband longer to put together than expected, holes didn't line up and some screws were defective. We just use some of our own. The drawers are slow to open and bottoms are not much more than thick cardboard, so will not be able to pack them very full or heavy, but overall it's what you can expect for the money you pay for it. It does look nice, and we like it enough to keep it. Will get something else when he is older, but for the first few years it should do the job. see less

We bought this dresser to go with the DaVinci Kalani crib. It is quite a bit darker than the crib and is cheaply made. The back is basically a piece of cardboard and the drawer hardware is made of plastic. Like the other reviewer said, we plan on using this until our baby girl is a little older. In hindsight, I would probably have waited for a sale to buy one of the nicer dressers. see less
