The instructions are a little difficult to understand, I think my barista knowledge helped me work this machine. It's a quick espresso maker and does it's job steaming milk. I am very happy with this product.
If it "explodes" on you, it's probably because you're not listening to the machine. You can hear the pressure build up, so you need to let out the pressure by turning the steam knob to let steam out. That should solve that problem.
Make your espresso, steam your milk. Clean steam wand with water, then release pressure and let cool before cleaning. Pretty simple.
If you just listen to it you should be fine. Using an espresso machine isn't the easiest but it sure is rewarding. Mmm espresso.
I've had this espresso machine for just over 18 months now. For me, it has been perfect. To be fair, I don't use the steamer regularly. I make espresso and steam my milk in the microwave to make my latte in about the time it would take to brew a pot. I also use a milk frother to get the milk just right...not for a purist, but it works for me!
The espresso is perfect, there is no waste besides the grounds, and it is still working consistently after over a year. I would buy it again!
I purchased this machine over 2 years ago with a b-day gift card from my sister. It was on sale for [$] & I thought I would only use it until I could save up for an upscale machine. This espresso maker has far exceeded my expectations, I would not buy a costly & bulky machine when this little guy does the job & takes up very little space. We use it everyday, twice a day, my teenage son uses it too.
That being said, I always use espresso grounds, I always use cold filtered water, I always make sure the lid is tightly sealed before starting it, I ALWAYS turn on the steam after the espresso is brewed just to let out the trapped vapor, & I clean it twice a month. The glass jar fell & broke, but we just use a large coffee mug instead.
My sister recently visited us & just loves the machine, she was surprised I purchased it with the gift card she sent, I even had money left over. I am planning on buying her one, she has a small kitchen & will save big bucks by making her own at home.
You don't have to worry about spilled milk on your stove anymore it heats up the milk and makes coffee all at the same time... You can warm up the milk by itself for hot chocolate or u can warm up water for tea .... I highly recommend this coffee maker it's the best! Love it! For you and for your guest
This is the easiest I've ever made a latte. Customize the ingredients to your liking. This is especially nice since I follow a low carb diet. I can use almond or coconut milk -which you can't get in any coffee bar in my area-, both froth rather nicely. And best of all, no more 5 dollar lattes! The initial investment of [$] is rather steep but save your Target store gift cards and use your Target card to help offset the cost. Overall the unit seems of good quality. I definitely have recommended this to my friends!
I absolutely love this littel machine!!! I previously owned a stove top Bialetti expresso maker, and quit like it. And recently I discovered this electrical one, and after read all reviews on the internet and decided to give this a try. It was DA BEST coffee purchase ever!! SOOO Easy to use, any monkey can do it, makes great espresso without investing in a heavy & expensive pressure machine and money saving!! I have calculated it, just make 26 cappuccino, I also have a milk frother to do this, then your machine is well worth!
Only down side is, you gotta be super careful when rinsing or cleaning the bottom part of the machine, where the water compartment is. Other than that, it's great for its quality and value!
This is a lovely little machine you can set up the night before, then get a proper wake-me-up in the morning. I have bought one for summers in NH, one for the rest of the year here in FL, and one for one of my kids. It is that good.
Why it is so, umm, "blessedly" expensive is so totally beyond me.
I have been drinking coffee for 15 years now and recently had espresso served at a BBQ at a friends house. Wow, was that good! So I thought I would get an espresso pot and make it myself. I started researching and after numerous hours of amazon reviews and other sites, I decided to go with this pot because of the following.
It is stainless steel, so the flavor is great.
It is electric, so no stovetop.
It does not take up much countertop space like the other electric brands like Mr. Coffee.
It is easy to clean.
It holds up to six, one ounce cups. There is also a line to only make 3 if you are by yourself.
For this price range, it does its job pretty well. I wish I got in on sale for a bit less, maybe 20 bucks less or so.
I am satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend this pot.
I have owned a few different machines over the years. i have to say that this one is the best. lets start with the looks. Beautiful stainless finish matches all my kitchen appliances and stands out on my counter. Makes an incredible cup of espresso with great crema. Easy to use with either ground coffee or with pods that I love to use as there is virtually no mess. Steaming milk for lattes or cappuccinos is so simple. I would definitely recommend this to anyone starting out or even an avid espresso drinker.
I love this machine. Easy to use and pulls perfect espresso shots. Well worth the price. I have had my machine almost 2 years now and have saved much more making my own lattes. A definite must buy for an espresso lover.
This machine was on sale, so we decided it was worth it for the cost. It took about 11 days to arrive, but by the time it did, we were so excited to use it. We had to make a few 'dud' espresso's to prefect it, but once we did, it was amazing. I definitely this Bella Espresso Machine, its easy to use, and clean, and stores really nicely with it's compact size.
Just got it today. I did have a Krups 4 cup espresso maker that failed on me yesterday after 3 years of tap water. I use this little guy here to make my iced espresso coffees!! The taste is better and it comes out faster than it's [$] counterpart! I hope it lasts as long, however for the [$] I'm surprised it works as good as it does!
The Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista Espresso Maker is amazing! It is definitely a great value at this price. I can make my favorite espresso drinks at home quickly and easily, and they taste great! I even use the milk frother to make hot chocolate for my little ones! The instructions are detailed and easy to follow. The buttons/controls are easy to understand and use. Assembly and cleaning are not at all difficult. I will absolutely recommend the Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista Espresso Maker to all my friends and family. I received this product for free as a sample to review.
This machine was extremely easy to use. The touch of a button will both make the espresso and froth the milk. Cleaning it is just as easy with just a touch of a button. The removable milk reservoir assures no wasted milk. I am able to use this every morning because it doesn't take too much of my time. The espresso comes out with a good creme and the milk comes out light and frothy. The settings assure a perfect hot cup of espresso drink. You can also manually make your own espresso and froth. The machine itself doesn't take too much countertop space. It has alot of plastic parts, but the front has metal pieces that make it look more attractive. I was given this product as a free sample to review. The price is more than reasonable considering the cost of other espresso machines and that you would probably use this everyday. I would buy this product and reccomend it to others.
I am a constant coffee drinker and enjoy taking time out of my busy schedule for a brief latte or cappuccino break. That being said, this little gem truly makes that moment even more possible at a fraction of the cost and in the comfort of my own home. My signature beverage of choice is a Hazelnut Latte from Starbucks and so I decided to try to recreate that concoction with this machine. I purchased Starbucks Espresso Roast Whole Bean Coffee and some Torani Hazelnut Syrup and tried my luck at making the drink and it tasted nearly identical! Now instead of going out of my way to purchase a 5 dollar latte I can just brew one up at home to sip and enjoy!
Overall, I'd say this machine makes great latte and cappuccino and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is as much a fan of coffee as myself, and over time I'm sure this machine would easily pay for itself with how much money you would be saving. Not to mention the fact that it has its own milk frother which is an added bonus. It works quite well and the built-in cleaning function is a helpful addition for those of us with hectic lives. The machine itself is a sturdy plastic, aside from the metal drip trays and the handle that holds the espresso, and feels like it would last a long time if were properly taken care of. While I personally received this as a sample to try and review, I think the [$] tag would be well worth the investment if you go to coffee shops on a regular basis or try to make your own beverages at home.
I'd been searching online for an espresso maker, and had landed on a black and decker $40 model. Upon reading some of the reviews though, I decided to continue my search... at least two of the reviews were titled "Explosion!" which was hilarious, but also terrifying.
Anyway, I found the IMUSA for the same price, and though it only had one review (the one above), it was too tempting not to buy it.
Let me tell you, the other reviewer was not lying!
She talked about the durability and the quality, all correct!
It was super easy to use, it frothed my milk beautifully!
All you have to do is turn the knob thingy slowly toward the steam icon, you'll see. It's so easy to figure out.
The espresso was delicious, that is to say, not burnt in any way.
And it literally took less than 5 minutes to have a perfect cappuccino in front of me. I would know, I worked at a coffee house all through college... and this tasted better. No bitterness at all.
I totally recommend this espresso maker. No need to spend hundreds of dollars for a good cup of coffee.
We are very impressed with the quality and functionality of the Imusa Bistro espresso maker. It is very easy to use and it makes terrific espresso in no time at all. It's also very easy to clean.
The espresso is as flavorful as any found in a good restaurant or even a European cafe!
It's also very attractive, extremely affordable and wonderfully reliable. We bought our first Imusa espresso maker several years ago and brought it to our cabin. It's still working great so we purchased another one-- the newer Bistro model which we're keeping at home! We highly recommend either electric models. We have them both!!
