I really love this espresso machine and found it very simple to use. It works fast and the espresso is delicious. It looks great and does not take up much space on the countertop. My friends are impressed when I make them a cappuccino!
First off let me say that inside my local Target store this item was selling for[$] [...] Having said that, when I bought this unit I was looking for the least expensive unit I could find since I'm only using it for a few months while on vacation. I figured worst case scenario I could replace it once at [$] and still be around the cost of some of the other machines. However, when I got this machine home and ran it for the first time it started to fall apart. First thing I noticed is the main seal on the water reservoir cap has come unglued and falls out when you remove the cap. It seems to be fixable, and I do continue to use it, but really? on your first run? Anyways, this is why I say have the right expectations on this one. If you want the cheapest of the cheap to save a few dollars and get you by for a little bit then this is the one. If you expect this machine to give you years of service, I would keep shopping.
I may be given the wron rate to this machine, because when we make the switch to work, it works perfect. What is happening? when you turn it on, you have to put a lot of pressure on the switch before the indicator light turn on.That is not normal to me. I made the purchse online and do not have a purchase reseipt to return it to one of the Stores. Thanks,Catalino Neris
I'd been searching online for an espresso maker, and had landed on a black and decker $40 model. Upon reading some of the reviews though, I decided to continue my search... at least two of the reviews were titled "Explosion!" which was hilarious, but also terrifying.
Anyway, I found the IMUSA for the same price, and though it only had one review (the one above), it was too tempting not to buy it.
Let me tell you, the other reviewer was not lying!
She talked about the durability and the quality, all correct!
It was super easy to use, it frothed my milk beautifully!
All you have to do is turn the knob thingy slowly toward the steam icon, you'll see. It's so easy to figure out.
The espresso was delicious, that is to say, not burnt in any way.
And it literally took less than 5 minutes to have a perfect cappuccino in front of me. I would know, I worked at a coffee house all through college... and this tasted better. No bitterness at all.
I totally recommend this espresso maker. No need to spend hundreds of dollars for a good cup of coffee.
We are very impressed with the quality and functionality of the Imusa Bistro espresso maker. It is very easy to use and it makes terrific espresso in no time at all. It's also very easy to clean.
The espresso is as flavorful as any found in a good restaurant or even a European cafe!
It's also very attractive, extremely affordable and wonderfully reliable. We bought our first Imusa espresso maker several years ago and brought it to our cabin. It's still working great so we purchased another one-- the newer Bistro model which we're keeping at home! We highly recommend either electric models. We have them both!!
