Arrived undamaged and well packaged. Very easy assembly - took about an hour. Basic instructions were unscrew this, connect and re-screw. Came with a couple of wrench tools that were simple and effective to use. Tracks speed, distance, time, calories, mph and heartrate. Step in design that makes it easy to get onto. Bike is comfortable to sit on. It is quiet and smooth pedaling on low resistance settings. I did raise the resistance to a very high setting of 8 and the pedaling seemed jerky to me, but I am not in good shape. Time will tell if that is me or the bike! The bike also has transport wheels on the front bar and it is pretty easy to move it around if you need to. The only downside to this unit is if you're planning on sharing with other riders. The seat adjustment requires unscrewing 2 knobs, pulling a peg out and sliding the seat. It's not hard, just not very convenient. I am very happy with this bike and I think it is a great buy. see less

Fantastic value. The quality is great and once it's put together, it's easy to use. It did take 1-1/2 hours to put together but I was sitting on a chair because of my bad knee, hence the reason for the purchase. It comes with all the tools you need to put it together. Most of the bolts are already where they need to be, so all you have to do is take them out, put the corresponding pieces together and put the bolts back in. Much better than laying out a bunch of bolts and trying to figure if you are using the right ones. I am a 63 year old woman of average strength with arthritis in both knees. I found the most difficult part was attaching the seat because I couldn't get down on my knees to see underneath, so I just felt where the bolts went, and that worked. It is soooo QUIET I can talk on the phone or watch TV or read while I'm working out. This was a GREAT find! see less

I loved this bike, right up until the point that it broke. It was easy to put together. It worked great for the for 3 weeks and 300 miles. Then it developed a loud clanking noise when I pedaled. It sounds like something is breaking or hitting inside the plastic casing. I've tried calling customer service about the noise and possible repairs. They don't answer the phone and you have to leave a message. However, they don't call you back. I've also tried emailing, again I have yet to receive a reply. I will be returning this bike. Too bad because I really loved it until it broke. However, a broken bike isn't going to do me any good. see less

This is the perfect cardio machine to use when you can't get outside or to the gym. I use it while I watch T.V. and I love that you can also go backwards which works different muscle groups. This is a good little workout. I like that it forces you to use your core more than other machines do in order to keep your balance, however the trade off is a shorter stride. I have a small amount of space in my house so this machine is great, I can pull it out from it's little spot and watch TV while a get a little run in. I got this about 2 weeks ago and have used it almost everyday cause I love it (and we have had really bad weather so I can't get outside to jog.) I found this bike easy to assemble. It seems quite sturdy and doesn't make any odd noises. Well worth the price. I found riding a regular exercise bike so uncomfortable that I avoided riding them, but I could ride a recumbent bike all day. I looked at one at [another store] that was [$], but this bike has everything I need for less than half the price. My 6'1" college student found that the resistance was not high enough for him even at the highest setting, however, the highest setting is way too hard for me. The way to adjust the distance between the seat and the pedals is not convenient. This seems to be true of a lot of the recumbent bikes. I'd have gladly paid 50.00 more for a seat that slides. Otherwise, this is a great bike. see less

What a beauty after I spent 8 hours, with breaks between each step, to build! I decided to take my time, follow each instruction to the T and walllah my Easy Rider resulted! It took 30 minutes to open and unwrap the shipping box as each piece is carefully plastic wrapped and then cardboard wrapped, most impressive. The frame titanium silver coating is really beautiful! I can't get 1 bolt in the seat as I think the hole is off as the other 3 bolts went in fine. It seems tight for me and okay. I was only missing 1 of the rear stabilizer end caps. This is important to have, of course, as it's how you stabilize the entire bike's balance. So, I called Stamina, phone number provided with instructions, and customer service told me they will send one right out to me. I'm waiting now for the end cap before I ride the bike. I tested it though a bit and it's perfectly quiet, tension a joy to dial up and down, and the meter is cool it has a large type so you can see it easily. see less

I bought this product because ever since I moved from a house with stairs to a 1 story house I have noticed my fitness level diminish. I thought this would be a great way to increase my daily activity and have a safer workout around kids than with my treadmill. However, I'm 5'2 and 180 pounds.. (proportionate, but obviously overweight) the steps are VERY hard to push down (and I consider myself having strong legs).causing my foot to slip off the grips, I can't imagine if i weighed any less trying to use this stepper. I definitely wish it came with different cables, ones with more give for the beginners. Otherwise, great product and I'll just have to use it more. the construction is nice & sturdy, assembly was as simple as it gets and was put together in 2 minutes. the digital counter is accurate with the steps. Little did I know that 50 steps only burned about 5 calories. LOL but it's ok I still felt the burn with every step after 50. see less

I bought this item to help my grandmother (age 85) get some exercise. She isn't able to get out as much as she would like to and often has leg cramps as well. I've seen physical therapists use this type of machine before and thought it would help her with her needs. Plus, I needed something she could manage on her own as we live 500 miles apart.It was simple for her to put together and she loves it. There is no way to preserve the box, if you want to return the item - as I do. The customer service rep told me I have to take it back apart, and find a box. Then, I had back surgery in May 2010 and was afraid to exercise again. I have always hated aerobic exercise and loved lifting weights. I needed something that would be easy on my hip and back having had four surgeries and live with chronic pain. I am diabetic and exercise is a must . Stepper arrived earlier than scheduled and was easy to set up. Took me about 20mins. The Timer isnt the best in the world but with a little tweeking got it going. Place a small magnet right behind the plastic piece that the wire runs into underneath right peddle arm. It worked for me! If you over tighten the tension knob you will probably break the plastic pulley underneath, I dont really use the tension control anyway since my right leg is weaker than the other.Turns out my wife,daughter and son have been using it for a month and it has held up great.All in all its a good stepper for under a [$]. If you are an advanced exerciser you may not get the work out you want. It is a good beginner stepper for sure.Using this while watching T.V would be good for anybody in my opinion. I'm 6'1 225lbs and can get my heart rate up to 135. see less

Other items have a smaller base width which makes them unstable, especially on carpet. I assembled the unit by myself in about 15 minutes. No problems. Immediately tried it out and found the tension to be a good workout. My thighs are killing me. Yay! I like that the step height is adjustable allowing me to control my workout. I love having the tall handle for support and digital timer/counter. This unit easily fits away in a closet but is not very cumbersome anyway. Very happy with my purchase!!! see less

I put it under my desk. I hate sitting on my desk for too long. I purchased this to move my legs while being at the computer. So far, I am happy with it. I read the other negative reviews. I think it can be oiled to prevent squeaking. I also think if you sit, it provides more resistant. I do not think this mini stepper is good for anything beyond advanced exercises. For more resistant, I think I probably can have my husband put in a stronger shock on it. I will not know until something happens to it. see less

After doing many weeks of research on the best bike in my price range, this was definitely the one. I am extremely overweight and I am unable to be on my feet exercising for long periods of time. This bike is perfect. It is well made and very comfortable. I was surprised how easy it was to put together, it took me less than an hour. Please beware, the computer's on these units are a flop. After 1 week of waiting for delivery and 45 mins of installation the computer (display) is the last thing you check. It comes with batteries so the display does light up. But you can excercise for as long and as fast as you want and the display will still show 0.00. I called IMEX (manufacturer) they immediately requested to send out another computer (display). Funny thing was that I assume that this must happen often because I was only on the line with a rep for about a minute before she offered to send out a new display. Total call 3 mins. Now that makes me really curious. Still have not received the replacement part (ships in 5-10 business days). see less

Due to a foot injury I could no longer use my treadmill or workout videos - after some research on the internet I saw the suggestion of a recumbant bike for fitness. I had an exercise bike many years ago that was noisy, awkward, and extremely uncomfortable to sit on for any extended period of time, so I eventually quit using it. Well, exercise bikes have come a long way! This one is very quiet, and really comfortable to sit on, which makes it easy to prolong my workout. I love the different programs on it, and the resistance is really easy to adjust. A bike with these features at a local sporting goods store was priced considerably higher. I purchased this product on 8/15/09. It came with a 90 day warranty. By 2/24/10, it had developed a problem. I called the company on 2/14/10 and was told I needed a new ball bearing. Not having received the part by 3/1/10, I again called the company and was told they were out of the part and would send it to me when it arrives from China-figures!!! Why they didn't tell me this when I called on 2/24 is annoying and somewhat deceitful. They also informed me they do not recommend any companies or individuals to service the bike. I am 76 years old and in great health. But, even I will have a hard time lifting over 100 pounds to make the repair, if and when the part arrives. I would not recommend this product to anyone. You are better advised to buy an exercise bike locally, even if it costs a lot more, and be able to get it serviced. Since Target only has a 90 day return policy, I guess I have invested almost $ for nothing. Hope whoever reads this will not make the same mistake I made by buying this product. see less

i bought this despite the poor reviews, thinking i would have some surprise luck. i did not. i read the same reviews all over the internet for proform. arrived with broken pieces. i would not mind if it was something minor and they sent me a replacement. well, then entire main frame was broken, in addition to other small pieces. the company said they would immediately send me replacement pieces. it took over a week for them to arrive, and all of the replacement parts were not there. i was also told i would then have to wait for a technician to come out which would have taken another week... i just returned it to target. that was not easy either, but better than having to wait almost a month to have the machine up and running. see less
