At the end of the pool season, we tied them together right side up and upside down to keep the winter cover raised. One didn't make it through the winter. We received one of these a s a gift several years ago and have since purchased three more. We have not experienced the problems with the smaller pillows. All of ours had a large pillor at the head end and a small pillow at the foot end. We have taken them to Hawaii several times and can lay out where the surfers begin their surf and enjoy a day bobbiing in the ocean, watching the surfers from behind them!!! They also work great in the large resort pools. Thet are great fun! We also use them everyday in our backyoard pool and absolutley love them. When in Hawaii last Sept, we had at least 5 people inquire where they could purchase them since they are so practical and easy to travel with. 5 stars all the way!! see less

When my 19 lb 1 year old was in this raft no matter how tight you blew it up the top would come down over him just a little too far. I would recommend getting one without a top and getting the child to wear a hat. It does float fine and it was cute for his car themed birthday party.We live at the beach, I would not recommend for the ocean. Too Bulky! see less

After reading wonderful reviews on here, I decided to purchase the River Run tube for my float trip last year. It was so wonderful that we're taking it again this summer too. The river we float tends to be really low so we drag on rocks a lot and I was shocked at how durable this tube was!! As the other review stated, it is much larger than it looks on here. I am also 5'2" and 120 lbs. and was able to sit inside the circle as well. I highly recommend this to anyone going on a river, lake or pool! see less

this tube is great for a lake river floating or anything! this tube is very thick almost the same grade as rental tubes. we went to the meramac and it gets shallow in some places and even with a jagged rock bottom no holes! then we sat the raft on the shore on jagged rocks and still no holes. we arent easy on our things and i believe we will have this for many years to come. and a great price check around nothing even comes close with quality for the price see less

We have loved this float. It is made out of durable hard plastic (think Little Tykes) and it is impossible to flip over. I get so tired of the blow up boats that the kids lean back and forth in and get their head in the water. We took this thing down the lazy river and every other parent was jealous and asking us where it came from. The front has a place for a bottle or sippy cup for smooth riding. We love it! see less

I needed a chair for my elderly father. I saw this one and took a chance with it. My father has a hard time walking and is very overweight so I was worried about him fitting in it. When the chair arrived I noticed that it was made of very good material. It took a matter of minutes to blow up. I was out one day and received a phone call from my dad saying this was the best chair he ever had. It was nice and big and would fit any body perfectly. The best part was that it was very easy to get in and out of. When I came over to try it out, I couldn't believe how comfortable it was. Everyone that comes over and tries it out says that they have to buy one of these. It feels like you are floating on air. Also it doesn't take up alot of room in the pool. My wife and I got these floaties to take with us on a houseboat trip on Lake Kabetogama in northern Minnesota.This is the best float I have ever been on. I spent almost every day on it! The ability to adjust from a reclined to an upright position was fantastic! I'm a big guy (6'2" - 250 lbs)and this float had room to spare. I coupled it with the cooler float from Coleman and I had the Cadillac of all floaties!! I never have left a review before, but this float made my vacation so relaxing & enjoyable that I just had to write! Do yourself a favor and buy this one, you won't be disappointed! see less

We bought these to use on the river..... here are our thoughts:PROS:1. Very well made.... rode these many times through rapids and they rubbed on the rocks but didn't tear. Now, having said that, if you hit a sharp rock just right, they can puncture, but the patch that comes with does hold well.2. Can't beat having that backrest.... all the other tubers were complaining about their necks hurting... ours didn't!3. Cup holders .... what can you say other than this was a great idea!CONS: For us, there were none.The rope didn't get in our way at all and we used it if we were trying to stay close to each other. There was one review somewhere that mentioned the opening being too big...we solved that problem.... get one of the small rings that children use, blow it up, not all the way, and sit it in the opening.... it works! You won't even feel any rocks that you may slide over. Someone had stated that they used a noodle in the opening... we didn't even try that as the child float worked so well. Also, when just floating around in the still part, it is perfect for a child to sit in.We stayed in a cabin conveniently located right on the river and were able to put these in the water just above a couple of the really good rapids...once through, we were able to get out, walk back up the road with them and do it all again. We loved these floats and are thinking about buying a few extras..... you just can't beat the price you pay for this float. We used these every day for a week and they are still holding up... even if they had only lasted for that one week, they would definitely have been worth the money! see less

Me and my friend, who were both 12 at the time I bought this sat in this together all day, it's not really big enough for both of us but 2 can fit if squeezed (We both weighed around 100 pounds then, if it helps) This was so much fun to just float around the pool in. Would reccomend this to anyone with kids. see less

This is an adorable float, perfect for my 9 month old! It was easy to get her in and out and it seemed very safe. Being on the younger end of the age span I was worried the leg holes might be too wide but they were not, it didn't seem like there would be any way she could slip through. The only reason for giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the dolphin tale is a lot lower than what the picture shows, it was rubbing against my daughters head so I can only imagine as she gets older that would get annoying. However we were able to tuck the tale behind the blue head rest and that worked just fine (we were in an indoor pool so didn't need to worry about the sun). see less

My son loves this float! Three or four 8yr olds can play on it at one time! The first one I bought ripped the first time we used it. It was really easy exchanging it and the second one lasted the rest of the summer and the next summer too without any problems! I replace my son's pool toys and floats every year or two, we just saw this in the store yesterday and I will be going back to purchase it in the next few days. Bottom line, save your receipt (and maybe don't buy this as a gift for a child other then your own). I'm looking forward to another great summer with this fun pool float! see less

This is really cool, my almost 4 year old grandson loves it. I would have given it a 5 star rating but think it could have benefited from having another inflatable chamber to hold up the upper part of the ship. Even when it is fully inflated, it doesn't hold/stand up as much as shown in the picture. The "squirt gun" works but could be better. Pulls through the opening in the boat and out of the water too easily, constantly having to pull it back through. see less

I purchased this item on a recommendation from someone who used it 15 years ago. My daughter is 20 months and has taken swim lessons since she was 9 months old. This year she was too big to fit in a baby tube. She loves the water and I wanted something she could be a bit independent in. This was perfect!! My daughter has the freedom to swim and play and I don't have to hold her. She can still tip forward easily so it took her a little while to figure that out. I definitely would never leave her unattended or too far from where I am. I highly recommend this tube for any child who loves the water and has a little understanding of how to swim. see less

I love it as much as my child does! she was 18months last year when she started to use it and it took a couple of times for her to figure out how to use it.. when they are that small they need to learn to balance them selfs... now she gots it and loves it! They get so independant and I think that will help with training how to swim. She will be two in march and we went swimming last weekend and she did so well with it.. loves it! The elephant is nice and wide to provide a steady base in the water. I have 3 granddaughters ages 23 months, 15 months and 17 months and they love the elephants and seem to feel comfortable and safe in them. Even on our lake with waves from boats, the elephants bob around and we have had no incidents where we felt like they were in danger of tipping over. The canopy is large enough to provide shade for them as well. Online at Target was the best price I found while searching the web for this item. see less

That's why we call it the Ella-phunt pool toy. :-)) Of course we haven't used it yet as it is the 1st of May in Ind., but I'm sure she will have a great time in it.
