It has a good sturdy base, perfect height and looks good. Be careful to use right size bulb. Overall this was the best value we found on line and more than meets our needs. I like that mine is a 3 way light. One turn puts on 2 lights, second turn puts on 3 lights and the third turn puts on all 5 lights. So, don't get confused and think it does not work, it does, and works well every time. You can place the shades to compliment each cycle of light. I like the 2 dark pink for the first turn of 2 lights and the next turn lights the 3 lighter shades while the last turn lights all 5 shades. see less

I didn't expect much from this lamp due to its price. I was very surprised at how sturdy it is. It doesn't look cheap and it is great for a girls room. I had a similar style from [...] and the base leaned forward. The lamp always looked like it was going to fall over. Junk! This one is awesome! Bought this lamp for my daughter's room and we love it! Gives life to a little girls room and as much light as you want. I love the three different shades we can choose from. Colors are awesome and you can't beat the price. The lamp was so easy to put together it took me about 8 minutes. Make sure you leave the sticker on the lamp telling you how much wattage the light bulb has to be. Thanks Target for having this at the store. see less

I bought this lamp several months ago, in March, 2010, and it's definitely proven to be a good purchase. Assembly was easy. The color of the lamp is more of a dark gray metallic color, which is more appealing than the gold color that is depicted in the picture above. The shades are unique, and really blend in well with the metallic color of the rest of the lamp, in that they are very dark, almost black, when the lights are off, but when illuminated, the shades take on a slightly translucent appearance while having a slightly tinted smokey gray coloration. I bought the recommended compact fluorescent lights for it, and while they don't give off as much light as incandescents, the 5 lamps on this put out a good amount of light, without feeling the heat of the old fashioned lite bulbs. Repositioning the lamps is very easy, the bendable necks stay in position very well. It's a great lamp if you work on the computer, while reading and editing text in printed format, being that if you shine the lights up to the ceiling, it doesn't create glare on the computer screen, but allows for enough light to read the printed text.I looked around at all the floor lamps at several retail chains in my area, and this was the best choice out of all them. It is more expensive than a lot of the more cheaply made and entry level floor lamps but definitely worth it. I am thinking about buying another one for the living room, when reading. The one thing to be cautious about, is this lamp is not very mobile, and the threading where the pieces are screwed together, does not move very well, if you do have to move it, make sure to hold it under the base, while having a firm grip on the lamp pole. But that put aside, again, I sure would recommend this to anyone. see less

This lamp did not disappoint, very classy and gives off great light. The arms are adjustable so you can fan them out. The base did wobble a little based on how far out the arms were pulled but we just put a small weight on it. Small concession for the great look the lamp has. see less

The three arcs on this lamp are attached only by themselves with their extremely thin-walled "arms". There is no reinforcement at the point in which they come pre-soldered attached. Upon installing the light bulbs and arranging the arcs, one arc snapped off. I propped it up against the wall to salvage. Yesterday, with a slight adjustment to another arc, it too snapped off and is now laying on the floor. [...]This lamp is in a room that I do not use, so there has been virtually NO man-handling. Again, very, very weak area where the arcs meet the neck on the base. I am now out [$]!! and I still have to buy another lamp! Painful! Don't let this be you!! Move on to another! see less

Great lamp for the price. Store item number starts with 07402. There are several lamps the same but with different colors. I rated this with the price of the lamp in mind. I love it. The lamp I bought is Store Item Number DPCI 074 02 2121. [.............] My lamp went together perfectly and the bulbs screwed in well. I think the receptacles for the bulbs are not very smooth, but just line up the bulb right and it will go in. You can choose to light 2 at a time, 3 at a time, or all 5. It's a very pretty lamp. I have found it to be stable. Great it for the price! see less

This lamp looks like something found at the upscale Hardware store. The lamp I bought is a quality lamp, very sturdy. Beautiful shade. The shade alone would run around [$] . While I love the look, the feature I absolutely am thrilled about is the amount of light this lamp puts out. 2 3 way bulbs, up to 300 Watts at max! We live in an old home with little light and this has made a HUGE difference in our living room on these very dark winter evenings. Am thinking of purchasing a second. see less

We actually went to the store to see these before purchasing them so we knew what was expected and comparable lamps that have the Restoration Hardware look are way overpriced and don't come with the shade. They are the perfect height, heavy and substantial, and come with a quality linen looking lamp shade that's a really nice/neutral sand color.They have a switch on either of the bulbs-instead of like cheaper lamps where the on/off is on the cord- to adjust the brightness as needed. With two, 3 way bulbs and two switches, it gives you tons of options for lighting and they look incredibly high end. We purchased two for either side of our large sofa and love them! If you are worried about chipping or damage I would highly suggest picking them up in store as Target is notorious for poorly packaging their shipments. see less

I have a rainbow theme so I really enjoy this lamp. It does take 40w instead of 100w as mentioned, however I think the dimmer switch refers to the option of having 2, 3 or all 5 bulbs lit. It works very well to light my living room for me to read, as I have no overhead light. I may get a couple more for other rooms. see less

This lamp does not have a dimmer switch, the sockets are not 100w each instead they are 40W. Combine that with plastic shades and I'd pay [$]! This is obviously a cheaper version and the description has not been updated yet nor the price lowered. Don't waste your money. This is going back! see less
