total junk.bought this gps as i love to hunt,fish and spend time in the great outdoors.bought this to help me navigate around the north woods in maine. first there were no maps,so had to buy the map download from garmin another [$] they work great on my home computer.but not on the gps.wish i had spent the [$] on a new [Product] this will be my last garmin product. see less

This was a christmas present for my daughter.. She has not had a chance to use it yet but I am sure when she does she will really be able to take advantage of it.. We live in the country and when you go into the city you really need a gps system.. We also own a couple other Garmin Nuvis and think they are the best system out there.. Of course after buying it wouldnt you know I found it alot cheaper elsewhere.. see less

i was borrowing my fiance's Garmin for 6 months before I decided to give his back and get one of my own. I work for a company that requires me to travel everyday to different parts of the state so I get lots of use from it. I find it very easy to use and navigate through. see less

should have a zip code data base. inputting address and/or zip code which you may not know is overly difficult. Since this is my first GPS this may be a problem shared by all GPS. If so the technology needs work. see less

Owned the Forerunner 405 ... see more

Owned the Forerunner 405 and was looking for something simplier and less finicky. Thought I found it...I was wrong. The second time I connected it to my computer for download, the watch face went completely blank. Followed the owner's manual to reset by holding the "light" button. That did nothing. About 12 hours later, it mysteriously came back to life. It died again last night. I think it's dead for good. Too bad, this watch is easy to use and looks and feels like a regular watch. I wasn't going to go Garmin again after the 405, I did, and I really regret it. I've learned my lesson. see less

The Garmin worked fine for the first run I recorded. Now Garmin Connect refuses to recognize my device and when I try to record a run, the device says "Memory full" even though there could only be one run recorded on it. Don't waste your money. see less

I really love my new Garmin. It is very user friendly and is a great asset when I'm on the road. I am the world's worst when it comes to directions so I really like the way they give me a warning as I get close to the intersection, then tell me exactly where to turn. You can't get lost with a Garmin in the car. see less

I've been very pleased with this GPS. The mapping program works flawlessly and recalculates when I selected a different route as opposed to the one it had selected for me. I especially like the tools side of the unit. It will figure your gas mileage. I had read some reviews elsewhere that had problems and had to reboot the system. I have not experienced this problem even in the Texas heat.I wasn't fond of the updating the process. Athough, I do have an internet connection speed of 128kbs, the upsate wasn't performed any faster on a DSL provider with 1.2mbs. That was my only complaint. I highly recommend this unit! see less

This is a great watch if you want a heart rate monitor but I accidentally purchased this one and thought it was a pedometer, calorie counter, length of run monitor as well. see less

I wish I could say that I have had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Garmin products, but this has not been the case.I have a Forerunner 405 which worked well when it worked but had to be replaced 3 times in just over a year.My wife has a different brand which she got for less but which has longer battery life and is solid as a rock. I have had 4 Garmin devices over the same period of time.Garmin needs to seriously step up its quality control before I will ever purchase another one of their products. see less

I purchased this watch in January of 2009 and used it for 85 days and a button on the watch was stuck in place so the watch didn't perform correctly. I sent this back to Garmin to have my watch repaired or replaced and they actually sent me someone else's refurbished watch. I called and complained to have a new watch sent to me considering that I just spent dollars on a new watch three months ago and they told me that is standard procedure to send out a newly refurbished watch in the replacement. What kind of company does that? I paid for a new watch and it malfunctioned so I expected to have it fully replaced with a new watch. I have yet to receive my new watch. I also had to pay for shipping twice to return the watches which resulted in and was told that I will not be reimbursed. The watch shouldn't have malfunctioned only after three months and I understand these things happen but to send me a used watch in its place....unacceptable! see less

This is a must for any serious golfer or if you have trouble getting an accurate distance to a green. The yardage is very accurate. You don't get bells or whistles but if you need only yardage, this works great. One downside is you need to ensure it is charged before you play. I found the the battery will drain when not in use. see less
