I bought this brush several months ago and can't imagine using anything else. My hair is long and thick and this helps me prevent breakage and I can tell it is helping with the shine. If you are tender headed, this brush probably isn't for you. It does take a little getting use to the feel of the bristles so be gentle the first few uses. You will need to clean it regularly to get the best results but you should do that with all hair brushes
I have long hair since forever, and formerly insisted on using a Mason Pearson brush, since all the others I tried pulled my hair and hurt. I read about this one in Consumer Reports, which claimed it was just as good as a much-more-expensive MP brush. Ordered one, tried it, love it and will never look back.
I picked up this brush last week, they have a pink version that's part of the Limited Edition Spring 2012 line.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much since I figured that it was all hype.
But this is the best brush I have used! I have waist length very thick blonde hair, and it's easily damaged.
This brush gets out the tangles without snapping or ripping my hair like my other brush did.
It IS very coarse and if you have a tender scalp this brush will probably be really painful.
I don't have a sensitive scalp at all, so to me it feels really nice to have it brushed like that. [...] I'm really pleased and don't regret getting this at all.
My friend and I both have this hairbrush because a stylist at a high-end salon recommended it. I have thick hair and many hairbrushes pull my hair and cause pain or breakage. This hairbrush is fantastic!! It smooths my hair while combing through any tangles, and best of all- it doesn't pull or break my hair. I absolutely love this brush and highly recommend it to others! Similar brushes, such as those by Frederic Fekkai, cost up to 5 times as much!
