We bought the Sonia Kashuk brush first and used it for years. I needed one as a spare and couldn't find the same one, so I bought this one instead. My long-haired daughter (who loved the Kashuk brush) now refuses to use anything other than this brush. I bought another one, and now I purchased three more--two for us as spares and for traveling, and one as a gift for my aunt who tried one of ours and fell in love with it. The bristles are stiffer than the Kashuk brush which works to get the tangles out of hair much quicker.
I bought this brush when it was a Daily Deal based on other reviews saying how it didn't hurt to brush their, or their child's, thick hair. I was skeptical, but have been needing a new brush, and have a hard time finding one that doesn't create a lot of static and can handle long, thick hair. It is everything I hoped for. It goes through tangles without painfully tugging, and it doesn't create very much static.
