Apply detangler & deep conditioner
First, wet your hair—detangling your curls is easiest when hair is wet or damp, and moisture makes strands more elastic and less likely to break. Apply a detangler or pre-poo. Once detangler is rinsed out, apply a deep conditioner. Divide hair into sections and comb through your hair, starting at the bottom and working your way up. The hydration will help soften strands and create the slip you need.
