My husband and I were looking for an inexpensive way to add curb appeal to our home. We really like the presence of this solar lamp post in our yard. It does not provide as much light as we had hoped, but the style and planter are exactly what we were looking for. If you are looking for a bright light source, this is not the product for you. It was a good deal for the curb appeal. see less

The lamps are smaller than expected. Quality is not bad, but the design is a bit uncreative and a bit of a nuisance. The lamps would not work where I orginally planned them because the trees and other landscaping made them appear way too short. So I had to use on my deck. They are cute lamps and go well there. But ..... for a deck (which I did not plan) you need a square underliner because if you use it as a planter, which I do, it leaks from the bottom and messes up your deck. I may just cram a bunch of river rock in the planter and stop thinking of them as a planter. Not sure. As I said, they are a bit of a nuisance. Did not hate them enough to return, but they are a little disappointing, but not really expensive. So you get what you pay for. So much for the bargain I had hoped for. Oh well. see less

We winded up setting the base upside down. The base is too light to stand firly so we may have to weight it down with a sandbag. Does not look too strong stand wind or a downpour. Good luck ! see less
