Game is shared between an 8 year old above average reader and a 6 year old below average reader. Both enjoy. The Barbary Coast is an area of San Francisco and the game discusses \ brings up different places in San Francisco. After a recent move to the Bay Area, I discovered a side benefit of this game. Both kids are very interested in visiting San Francisco and learning more about places in the game. see less

I have a 4 year old son that got this game this weekend and while the games are not "extremely" challenging (with a little help from mom!) they do get a little harder as the game progresses. He spent the better part of the day working on it and is not thru all of it yet; I'm not sure what the puzzle points do yet but unlike the other review said there is another game stage and that's where you use them in - plus there are extra modules you can add to it which we are very excited about! I think it's a great game that will keep my little guy entertained for many, many hours to come. see less

My 6 year old son LOVES this game!! He received it as a Christmas present,and was so excited to play it because it was Spongebob. I was a little concerned about the math content being too advanced for his age (deals with fractions, decimals, etc.), but he has really done quite well and is enjoying playing the game. I am asking my 7 year old her opinion as she is the one who is playing with it. she says she likes it as a game. she says it is not really teaching you anything it is just for fun and to keep you occupied while mommie is shopping. I would personally like a more larger print easy to read and follow guide with the majority of the products but thats just my opinion. see less

Great game. However, my 4 year old was frustrated with having to follow the shape drawings. It kept asking her to draw again, and she would hand it to me to do for her. I guess this is part of learning, but she ended up "trading" this game with her 6 yr old sister for something easier and "more fun." On the other hand, my 6 year old, who is more patient, liked following the instructions and tried to make the shapes "perfectly" like the game wanted you to. Game is educational! see less

This is my 3-year-old's favorite game for her LP2. She has spent the most time playing it. She also has Dora, Disney Fairies, Cinderella and Kai-lan which she enjoys, but this is her current favorite. The animation is a bit crude, but it does not seem to bother her. She told me that she "LOVES" Mr. Pencil because he is so funny. She loves drawing the shapes and writing the letters. It has captured her attention more than just using a piece of paper. She does not like the part with the reporter and always turns the volume down because she says "I already heard this part". I highly recommend this game. see less

This book is a great addition to the Tag book library. Me and my 2 year old daughter will look at this book with and without the Reader. What I really like about this book is the way that it has kids find objects, it is very precise, such as: "Can you find the blue cat" or "The big balloon" and yes, there is a small balloon. Also the last 3 pages of this book is even more educational than the beginning (in my opinion) it's more, identify an object, number, and/or color rather than finding objects. This book is literally limitless. Why anyone would stick with what the book wants your child to find is beyond me, I ask my daughter to find everything that is on the page (not all in one sitting, but you get the idea). I got this at my local Target when it was on sale for [$]. It was a fabulous value because my son is COMPLETELY entertained by this game. He is 3 and a half and has been playing almost non-stop. He has about 8 Mobi Go games and this is the first one he has not been able to put it down! He is a huge Dinosaur Train fan and this game is very fun, challenging, entertaining, and educational. see less

My 3.5 yro son has no trouble playing this game..... he spends at least an hour entertained by this game and the game and feaures cause him the least amount of frustration compared to the others. The game is easy for him to comprehend ... he actually enjoys sounding out the words and in one day has almost mastered learning how to count the sounds. Both my 5year old and 3 1/2 year old love this game. Its engaging and the instructions are easy to understand. This game suites curious children who want game that will continue to engage and challenge them. My daughter loves the Roller sling and Buzz Cannon My son loves Alien tap and sounding out the words. My kids also love the Spelling mode as they can play together even though the older one always wins. This Game saved my opinion of the leapfrog games as the other one we have is dreadful. see less

I bought my daughter who had just turned 3 for christmas last year. she absolutely loves it and is really learning from it on top of what i'm teaching her to reinforce it. I love thta you can check their progress on the computer so you're not hamgimg over their shoulder while they read and play games (it would irritate me if someone did that to me:) The only cons are it eats batteries so I bought the AC adapter which solved that. Also, I'm having a bit of trouble downloading ebooks from the vtech site, which i about to work on again right now. i wish they had made it more clear on the outside of the box you needed a memeory card and suggested an AC adapter to save parents another trip back to the store! otherwise it's great! see less

My 4 year old got this for Christmas from Grandma. She loves it! The princess game is especially nice because it has two different stories to hear from Cinderella and Belle. My daughter won't put it down. The only draw back is that we changed the batteries twice the day she got it and three more times since then. It's very good for a learning tool!
