This keeps her attention and she gets so excited playing with it. We don't even have it on the legs, because she likes to play with it on the floor or on the couch. I love how the books offer more fun than just your typical reading and it's great for on the go fun and has really helped not only keep my daughter's attention but also teach her some of those sight words she's going to be working on next year in kindergarten. The library has tons of her favorite story characters as well which definitely keeps her happy and the available headphone jack keeps everyone else happy no matter where she decides to break out those books. If your child is as big of a fan of the LeapPad as mine is you should definitely invest in this bundle. I have spent so much money on batteries it's ridiculous. So having the rechargeable batteries for on the go use and the adapter at home is a huge money saver now. My only complaint is that the case doesn't provide enough room for the headphones. I'm very disappointed that the case is ONLY big enough for the LeapPap and the cartridges. There is a pink tote case design for girls that can hold headphones, adapter, etc. So why doesn't the neutral color which is ideal for boys not have the same conveniences? see less

For christmas I got my 3 year old nephew the Innotab 2 and my 5 year old niece an android tablet. The android was broken by noon but the Innotab is still going strong. It has fallen and been pulled to the floor several times with no problems. Yes battery life is limited, but I purchased 2 sets of rechargeables at the same time and it is not a problem. And the upside is that I do not have to have him connected to a wall outlet while I try to recharge an internal battery. I added an SD card and put in age appropiate MP3s, Movies, and Videos. He no longer tries to grab his moms phone to play games on and his interest in TV has decreased. The only issue I had was with the camera was how dark images were. Opening the curtains or turning on some lights and the images are not so dark. Overall it is the smartest purchase I've made for any of the kids. It has no limits and the material can grow as he does. Now my only issue is keeping it out of the hands of the teenagers. see less

The games also work with the leap pad which my kids share for now. Purchase the skin for durability. One of the buttons is already starting to rub off and he has only had this for 30 days. I may see if I can exchange it. He loves it. He has spent hours playing the NFL and star wars game that I bought him and we went online and picked out apps together (Trex run, monkey soccer). The apps are great. He even enjoys the included Sillies app which I was worried might be too young for him. A total win. Battery consumption is not a problem if you buy 2 sets of rechargeable batteries and always have one charging while the other set is in use in the toy. The only problem we have with the Innotab is that the stylus is not attached to the Innotab itself. She is constantly misplacing her stylus. Just a thought! My child is reading at a first grade level and is starting kindergarten in the fall. She uses it a lot, but I recently purchased more ebooks and videos and discovered that there wasn't enough room. Along comes the updated LeapPad2 which has some of the same functionality of our iPad. I purchased it and she opened it. Even before I loaded the apps, she was taking pictures and enjoying the demo apps. Huge success - she wanted to sleep with it. Picture quality for the camera appears to be low, but I haven't looked to see if there is a way to improve it. Kids notice when the quality doesn't match their parents phones/tablets, so companies should not skimp in these areas. see less

As an owner of a competing product, I had reservations as to how this childrens tablet would be better but I was happily surprised! First of all I LOVE how easy it is to set up Parental Controls on it! and the Learning Lodge Navigator is very helpful too! The screen is large and bright and easy for my kids to navigate as well. But even more importantly, this is a durable tablet! Durability and being able to stand up in a house full of kids is important! I handed the InnoTab 2S to my kids a few weeks ago and forced myself to let them have at it. I kept an eye on them from afar but let my 3, 5 and 6 year old do what kids do with items. It held up to everything that they put it through! PLUS my kids want to learn on it!! They are playing spelling and math games and are really enjoying the art gallery! My son has developmental delays and one of the aspects we've been working on in his Occupational Therapy is motor skills. Although he's very intelligent, he has some issues when it comes to holding pencils and working on his writing. I cannot believe how much the Art Studio has been helping us! He loves to work on drawing and it requires a lot of hand eye coordination to do some of the animated parts of the Art Studio. His teachers have already started to notice a difference in how he holds his crayons and pays more attention to his lines. It also really helps children learn how words come together to form sentences and stories! He loves the E Reader which allows him to point out the words and put them to memory.
