My husband, two kids, and myself are all light sleepers. We have 4 of these sound machines, one for each bedroom and one for the guest room when company comes. We got our first machine when our 8 year old was born because our house was only 700 square feet. It was a life saver for that baby, for whom sleep has always been an issue.
I did retire that machine last year, since the motor was starting to rattle noticeably. But that's to be expected after 7 years of 12 hour a day use. and for what it has done for us, I didn't blink at spending the money to replace it.
We live in a house where the noise travels directly upstairs. Bought this initially for our room but now use it in the hallway and it helps drown out the noise from downstairs and lets my little ones sleep.
Noise options are just right.
I was introduced to this little machine at a hotel in San Francisco. It has been the best thing ever. I'm a very light sleeper, and my husband tends to snore. I wake up at EVERY LITTLE NOISE. This has been a lifesaver. I love it so much that I bring it with us when we travel, and I'm going to buy a second one for our baby's room. It's easy to adjust the sound level as needed.
