I never used the projection feature, but it could be useful for a younger child. I only use the "ocean" sound as it seems to be the most constant white noise sound. I, like many people have a problem falling asleep. I lay down and my mind keeps going. I have used this product for only 5 days and I have fallen asleep within 15 minutes. I find the sound is distracting to my mind and calms me enough to fall fast asleep. I have even noticed that I sleep more soundly and wake up more refreshed. I originally bought the sound machine to drown out night noises, it has done that and so much more. I especially like all the choices of different sounds, and a feature where you can run it all night or it can turn off automatically. We have two of these, one of which has been going since our 3.5 year old was born. Our second one has been in use for almost 2 years now and they both are still going strong. I love that it has a battery back-up in addition to plug-in, so if the power goes out for any reason, i.e. during a storm, our kids will still sleep. However, after heavy usage for about 2 weeks, the unit started to short out and make a skipping noise a few minutes into turning it on. My baby would wake up and start crying immediately... not fun. The machine worked perfectly for a while. All of the sudden, it just shut off on its own in the middle of the night. My child happened to be awake and noticed it and started crying because the "music" went away. Now, every time we turn it on, there is a 50 percent chance that it will turn back off almost immediately, unless we tap the power knob. I will need to replace this unit soon, because it drives me crazy having to turn it on and make sure I tap it so it doesn't shut off on its own. I won't be buying this same model. see less

No, it's not loud enough to cover a multitude of other noises ie- we live by a train track and nothing will cover that, but does help ease things into the background. We enjoy the sound that sounds like static or rain on a tin roof. It's soft, not annoying, and enough that my son, 6 months has been sleeping through the night for months- please don't throw things at me- I know we're lucky! It also helps knock my husband and I right out, even over the monitor after we moved him! We've used it for travel, and the batteries help with power outages! I highly recommend! Yes, the power light is bright, but it's the only light I need to peek in on him, making it a really effective nightlight. see less

It is has volume and brightness control and projects a clear, colorful image. The projector doesn't turn, instead the lights change position and there is no noise from that. When searching for a new alarm clock I was surprised to find this one at such a good price point. Once it arrived we were very impressed with the projection feature. You can turn it on or off, or just hit snooze to turn it on for 5 seconds. The brightness is just right. It can be adjusted so that it hits anywhere you want it on the ceiling. The sound machine feature is also very soothing and realistic, unlike some others I have heard. The ocean sound is my favorite. Other sleep soothers only last 15 minutes, maybe a half hour. This one you can adjust to a full hour. I got this when we moved baby from the cosleeper to his own room, at 7 months. My baby, who is 10 months now, loves to turn the light on and amuse/soothe himself when he wakes himself up at night. This could be one of the most bizarre items I have ever ordered online. I was looking for a light that I could put on my desk and maybe help my plant grow. Because I work in a dark space I thought I would try the "artificial sunlight" route. The product description said, "eye catching and functional." The only thing eye catching about this product is that is quite large, heavy and ugly. It is like a big metal triangle with a very bright light that shines through a cheap plastic piece. I will say it does produce a lot of light, but I don't know how this could look good in anyone's space. It was returned the following day. see less

I have severe asthma, bronchitis, and now plurisy. I take two perscriptions a day and still have to use my rescue inhaler almost daily. There are times when I am between times of using my inhalers and I feel the need for a puff of air, and that is when I use my Oxygen Plus. It isn't supposed to be for medical use, but living in Idaho is the higher elevations, my lungs hurt and this is the trick to prevent calling an ambulance just for some air. The biggest disadvantage is that it is hard to secure the headpiece on properly. Also, since it isn't direct oxygen in to the nose, the user probably doesn't get as high of oxygen as advertised.
