It works well with my light-medium skin tone, being a bit more pink than I thought, but that is usually my experience with lip colors...you never know really how they look until you are wearing them. I usually don't wear lipstick on a day to day basis. It wipes off after the first time you drink or use a napkin. And I'm not the type of girl to always look in the mirror and reapplying make-up all day. I get ready in the morning and it better be like that at the end of the day. Maybelline SuperStay 24 stayed on all day! I didn't reapply, I used napkins like normal (and actually tried to be a little rough with wiping it off). Not a spot came off onto a clear glass while drinking. After the first step I thought it was horrible. It felt disgusting. Then you apply the second step, basically a chapstick, and my lips felt great. Completely changed the feel and consistency of it. Throughout the day if my lips felt dry (like normal without lipstick on) I would apply some chopstick. The color never faded or wiped off. My only complaint is that it took a soft sugar scrub to take it off (which exfoliated my lips, bonus). see less

I purchased shade 677, aka Siren, and the bright coral color is a perfect Spring alternative to my red lipstick. I am susceptible to chapped lips, so a word of warning-this will put extra color in the flaky chapped skin- but the creamy texture didn't exacerbate the symptoms. I am very fair-skinned, and I am comfortable with statement red lipstick, so I wasn't afraid of the deep pop of color within this lipstick. However, the lipstick is saturated with color, so it's not exactly a "layering" lipstick. You need to commit to the shade. see less

Generally I'm a big fan of Maybelline cosmetics. I have really sensitive skin, so their cosmetics are reasonably priced and don't dry out my skin, make my skin feel oily or cause nasty break outs. The main reason I purchased this particular item was because I could not purchase my usual lipstick online. In the commercial this 14hr. lipstick is said to not feel filmy, to last 14hrs...etc. When I wear this stuff it makes my lips feel tacky and filmy and it does NOT stay on for more than an hour. The other issue I have is the applicator. I had the lipstick for 2 days and the applicator became all gunked up and gross looking. The applicator rubs along the weak points of the actual lipstick and renders the product useless. Not a good buy, not worth the money. The only saving grace for this product is the scent/flavor, but even that wears away quickly. see less

This lipstick is SO not a 14 hour lipstick. It last about 2 hours if all you do is wear it. If you eat, lick your lips, drink - forget it. It's no better than any other lipstick. Maybelline could rightly be accused of false advertising. If the store will take it take, I'm returning it. I bought this in Candy Apple. I have been wanting a true red lipstick that isn't too shimmery. I was a little disappointed when I first tried it because it wasn't as red as it appeared to be. After a few more applications, however, it got closer to what I wanted. Now I have realized that it is probably a good thing that this lipstick is not RED red. It is the perfect red that you could wear everyday. I am 17 and think it fits any age. I love dramatic vintage inspired makeup and this can create that, with more than one swipe, of course, or a toned down everyday look. I will definitely be buying this in more colors once my mother supplies more money for my makeup addiction! lol see less

I LOVE these lipsticks! I am a Latina with light/medium tone with yellow undertones. I love ---Peach Parfait--- for an everyday lip stick and it has some glitter which looks nice cause it's not too much. Just a slight glimmer.--- Red Velvet--- is my favorite cause i wear a lot of black at work and it looks so good against blacks and grays. These lipsticks were worth EVERY PENNY. I ordered two more today and cant wait till they come in. Ladies this is not your mothers lipstick, it does not dry out your lips and make your lips flake. It comes off after eating and drinking, but thats understandable and you'll be so happy with the color you'll just reapply and get on with your day, I hope you love it as much as I do! I purchased this product in Red Revolution and was very pleased with the balance of purple and red when applied. This result may differ with different skin tones, but overall the color is a pinkish red with blue undertones. The texture is very much like a light lip balm, so very comfortable for all day wearing and no dryness or flakes. This, however, comes at a price, because the excess of oils in the formula make it easy to rub off and reapplication is needed repeatedly throughout the day. Although, that may be Maybelline's plan all along, to have nice colors but make it come off easier so reapplication is needed so the product is used up faster so it must be bought more frequently. I started using this product in the Sweetheart shade about 3 weeks ago. I was a bit skeptical about it working real well. I was given a sample of it from [web site] because I am a [emploryer's name]. I tried it and really liked it from the very start. It goes on much differently and nicer than regular lipstick. It goes on very smooth and creamy. It doesn't feel dry and does not get all caked up like a lot of lipsticks do. It keeps your lips really moistured and I love it. I use it every single day now. I also like the color. I find that the "Sweetheart" shade provides just enough color, but isn't too bright. It is a great shade for fair complexions. see less

I was so excited to see Revlon brought back this matte colorstay lipstick... Was resorting to ordering my old discontinued one online! So when I saw these I was at first excited but then realized there wasn't a coffee color near my old one... Had to buy three of these to experiment. The color supermodel was so sheer it looked like I had no color on. The color iconic was pretty for spring and pinky but not dark enough to show without two layers and was sticky. This third color, catwalk, is finally pretty but again-- why is it moist and sticky? I want matte!!! Sigh.... see less

This works as well as more expensive stains I've tried. The color is good and long lasting although I personally don't like to wear it all day because my lips feel slightly irritated after. I marked it down on quality because the gloss is just sticking out an inch and broke off on almost all of these I own. I love how this lipstick goes from wet to matte and dry in just a minute. At first I thought this was horrible. But then I gave it another try. I realized you cant put on more than one coat or a ton or it will start to flake. What I do is moisturize my lips with eos lip balm. Then I like to put a couple dabs of this on my lips and I rub my lips together and then let it dry. I dont put on too much. It lasts me the entire day at school and I dont have to worry about my lips looking all dry and pale! This is one of my favorite lip products. Honestly it just depends on how you use it...experiment with it. And also pick the right color. see less

4 stars co's it's a bit pricey for a lip primer that to me is basically a lip balm. Probably do the same with chap stick as a base, but this balm does feel nice. There is color but goes on translucent. I could wear this alone or under a lipstick. I have dry lips so this was nice to combine with lipstick. I am asian, but my skin is more on the fair side and it's hard for me to find a perfect shade of lipstick to match my skin color. This works really great on me. You just have to put it on in the morning, and you don't have to worry about it smudging or leaving stains on your glass or clothes. It only comes off when you use a makeup remover, or when you finished eating, then you have to retouch. But basically, that's it. I did have to use the conditioner quite a few times. see less

This lip balm is very soft, it is kind of shear but you can kind of still se it on the lip. But it does not have that muck product at all. This lip balm has less then a centimeter of product. This is not worth 3 dollors this is woth [$]. I thought there was going to be more lip prouduct. see less
