The Hermosa futon frame is pretty decent; initially received damaged and called number to receive replacement pieces. Definitely more of a 2 person assembly job, but 1 can do it. Overall quality is decent, had to buy a mattress separately but looks decent and should be good in the interim until can get couch.
I recently purchased the futon and I think I truly overpaid. First it's only available online so I had to pay for shipping [$]. Once I got it almost together I did not get all of the bolts needed to attach the frame to the brackets what allows the bed to lay or sit up. So I had to buy 4 more brackets, washers, and locking nuts which cost me [$]. Once I got the bolts on the bed the wood creaked. The only reason why I kept it was because it was a hassle to get. There is no way to support for the futon. Other futons have supports sticks so if you sit or lay towards the edge of the it in the laying position, especially you have support this one does not. For the cost of this it should come with a mattress just to make it worth buying. I think that if you like this one you should keep shopping for something that will give you more support when lying and will come with a mattress and all of the required assembly parts. It's not worth the buy.
