I originally put these prep bowls on my wedding registry and was a little shocked at how small they were when I got them. However, I love them now. They are great for dips, mixing small quantities of stuff such as icing, and prepping veggies, etc. they are very durable, and the lids fit great.

Okay, but not sure why they're called "prep bowls"...
This bowl set is "fine", but the bowls are much smaller than I expected. The biggest one "could" be used for prep/mixing but the others are best for storage - given the lids. I can't fault their quality/durability, but if you're looking for bowls to mix or prep food - I'd go for something larger.
I prefer making my cookie dough by hand, which requires a sturdy wooden spoon. I looked at some cherry bamboo ones, but this cherry wood spoon is solid! Creaming the butter and sugar was a snap, and it washed off easily too. Highly recommend having this in your kitchen!
The other reviews sound weird to me. I've run this measuring cup through the dishwasher, washed it in the sink and poured dozens and dozens of cups of coffee, microwaved them, measured oil, milk and other things with this and never had the numbers wash off. I'm happy with my purchase!
My measuring cup lasted me a little over 2 years before the numbers and lines started to fade. I am not sure about the newer products but for the money, as an avid baker I was VERY happy with mine and would not be hesitant to purchase another Anchor Hocking glass measuring cup.
