We bought this cover for our 2 year old's new big boy bed. It fits a size full mattress perfectly without any problems/wrinkles, and it is comfortable to sleep on because unlike plastic covers, it breathes easily as you sleep on it. Our son had his first accident on it after 3 months of use and it stopped the leak, keeping the mattress completely dry. We couldn't be more pleased and impressed with it's quality. I've tested by pouring water on the cover and my baby already had an accident and it did not soak through. I've placed it in the wash several times and it still is holds up. Another feature is that it is breathable unlike others that make you sweat. Lastly, it does not sound like you are rolling around in plastic, it's like you are using another cotton cover, but it protects from leaks. I'm impressed and will by another! see less

I purchased this yesterday in a queen size. It was very easy to put on my bed by myself and my top sheet fit over it perfectly. It is just the enough buoyancy for a comfortable might's sleep. The scent was barely noticeable. I did not even have to air it out for any length of time as the previous one I purchased from Kohl's two years ago which I returned because It made me feel hot in the middle of the night. I did some searching & after reading the reviews I thought I'd give this one a try. I'm glad I did!! This has made my bed so comfortable & I've had zero mornings with any back pain at all. My mattress is about 14 years old & not very comfortable. My husband has also had no pain anymore after sleeping on this. This was a great buy as it's saved me a ton of money not having to buy a new mattress. It does have a minty smell but I honestly like the minty fresh smell as I'm going to sleep. I slept on a guest bed with this topper on it for the weekend. I am 7 months pregnant and could not believe that I was not tossing and turning all night with hip pain. My husband was even impressed with it. I tore the bed apart looking for a brand, when I saw the Target tag. We went to Target the night we arrived home and purchased this topper. I rarely write reviews, but I feel I need to shout it from the roof top. I have no problem with the scent, I like it and I prefer it to the foam smell of most toppers. It does stay cool. I am glad it came with the zippered case. I feel like I bought a new mattress for a fraction of the cost!! Please do not hesitate to try this topper! Before investing in a new king mattress I decided to check out toppers, so bought the Threshold topper to try it out. The great thing is that I could return it if I didn't like it. I would never return it! I've had it for three nights and have no cramps, no pain, -- even foot cramps have gone away. I always thought the foot cramps were the result of poor fitting shoes and now I'm convinced such conditions can be a result of nerve compression. THIS MATTRESS TOPPER IS A MIRACLE FOR ME. I've never written a product review, but I had to let everyone know how great it is. see less

From the moment I took this out of the package I knew I had finally found what I wanted. I have already gone through three other mattress covers. One very expensive, one cheap, and one somewhere in the middle. One had too much padding and bunched all the time, one wouldn't stay put, and one had cheap plastic on the back that crunched and tore after a few months. I have shopped around and could not find what I wanted, a waterproof cover that was not a mattress pad. I finally found exactly what I wanted at Target. This cover fit our deep pocket mattress perfectly, covers smoothly, and stays in place. It was a little more than some other options, but well worth a few extra bucks. Hubby and I bought this to replace our old memory foam mattress topper. We have a nice but fairly firm pillow top mattress set, but even with the memory foam we were both waking up sore and achy almost every morning. So far, we love this Fieldcrest topper! The down-like filling conforms to our shape like a nice feather pillow. I can sleep on my side and no longer feel pressure on my hips. It gives lower back support when I lie on my back, and for the first time in years I can lay on my stomach for longer than 30 seconds without my lower back screaming at me. My husband is happy with it too. Ultimately, I would love to have a feather bed, but they are quite expensive & hubby has allergies to down. This is a good compromise. Time will tell how long it lasts, but after the first week, we are very happy with our purchase and would recommend this. see less

Our bed is actually two complete twin size beds pushed together, so there has always been a gap in the middle. We were going to buy a new mattress, but the ones we have are only two or three years old and the main reason we wanted to change was to get rid of the gap. I had planned on buying a memory foam pad for the bed but I ran across this one in the store and it looked so plush I just had to try it first! WHAT A FABULOUS BUY! Our bed is so comfy now and we no longer feel the gap in the middle of the bed! It does make the bed a good deal softer and I can tell like around my feet where there's less weight the pad is fluffier, but my hubby is a big guy and he hasn't complained about the padding bunching or anything. We've had this about a week and I plan to make it routine to take it off the bed and shake it out when I change the sheets but it is a fantastic purchase and it saved us money too! see less

We recently purchased a king size firm mattress set. We wanted the support of a firm mattress, however, we were used to our old bed which was a pillow top. This mattress topper is the perfect addition to our new bed. We have the support of the firm mattress, along with the added softness and contour of the topper. The topper also has support to it. Now we don't have to get a new bed next time because the pillow tops sink and wear out. We can replace this topper... Bought 2 of these for children going off to college. They needed twin xl so I bought 2 at store. One was short by 5 inches not the 80in needed for XL twin bed. Returned it and bought another only to have a another short mattress pad. In both case the label on the package and on the mattress pad said Twin XL. Went to the store to see if they carried other brands in XL size which they didn't but did notice that there were several R Essential Twin XL mattress pad items that had been opened and possibly returned so it looks like I wasn't the only one that had a problem. see less

I bought a pillow top bed thinking it would be plush and comfortable...after 3 nights I was tossing and turning. I woke uo with my hips and legs hurting. After lots of research on memory foam toppers I decided to buy this one. It is wonderful! It's thick and plush, but it cradles your body for a great night's sleep. I highly recommend this mattress topper. We bought a King size and absolutely LOVE it. It's well worth the money, we've had it for almost 2 months now and no sleeping complaints. This is a really good mattress protector for the price. This one is very soft, not crinkly at all, completely waterproof and fits the bed perfectly. I've seen the protectors that after a while are no longer waterproof because of washing it, but this one we got on sale for only [$] dollars over six months ago and it's awesome. to the review regarding it shrinking after being dried, the package states dont dry in high heat. I am careful when washing, and never wash in hot water or using bleach, as it deteriorates the material. After washing, I tumble dry on NO heat for about 10 minutes to get excess moisture out, then hang on the door to air dry for the remainder of the day. I've also never had an issue with it ripping when putting it on the bed, but I would keep the packaging, as that may have just been that one protector. see less

I bought this in queen size on Monday for my new bed. I really loved it and it doesn't feel waterproofy at all. This morning my toddler had an accident in my bed and this protected my new matress 100%. I can't complain at all about that. I was easily able to get any staining out in the washing machine. However, when I took it out of the dryer this afternoon to put on my bed I noticed it shrank. A lot. It fits, but barely. I really loved this until the shrinking issue. At this price range I can't complain much. It's a great product for the price. see less

I am staying with my In Laws and their beds are SO firm. I could not sleep well. I'm a side sleeper and need some cushion, but this is not temporary so I did not want to spend double the amount for a mattress cover, or more. Tried this one and I'm quite happy with it. You have to evaluate it for the price. For 15 dollars, it is fabulous! It is ever so slightly smaller than the twin mattress and does slip a bit to the side after a week or so, but it is so much more comfortable than the mattress! It was a great purchase and now I can sleep comfortably every night. Not sure why everyone is having issues with smell but it had no real odor at all for me. I've had it for 2 weeks and I'm quite happy with it. see less

The best place to work and elevate my broken foot is our couch and ottoman, although the couch is old and the stuffing is squished. So I looked on target.com for a foamy 'mattress' cover, ordered this very product. I folded it in half to increase the cushion thickness of the seating surface. To hold it in place I covered it with a pretty contour sheet. Voila, an old couch is now comfy again. see less

The material is so thin and flimsy, it seems to be made out of those disposable Swiffer sheets- and like a Swiffer napkin, dust and dirt and pet hair are magnetically attracted to it and won't sweep off. It seems to be intended to be disposable, and frequently replaced. I just can't believe this mattress cover costs as much as it does. It also crinkles when you move in bed. After struggling to get it onto our King Mattress without tearing it apart, we zipped it up and the zipper fell right off the end. Target gave us a refund. Tiny flimsy zipper, something you'd expect to see on a discreet cocktail dress, but not even as strong. This barely fit our 9" thick Queen mattress. By the time I pulled it to the foot of the mattress the zipper pull had popped off. Not getting a replacement. The sides will make a crunchy noise when you move against it. There is only one side that has a 'ultra soft' cover to deflect noise, and it is very thin. Avoid this very poor quality product! made in El Salvador.I wish I had read the previous review. see less

I have been using this mattress topper for almost 2 weeks now and I love it. Yes, like most of the memory foam mattresses and toppers, it did have an odd smell to it, but after about 2-3 days the smell was completely gone and it was only when I put my face on my bed did I notice it. The reason why I give this product a 4 is because I had a memory foam topper before, and I don't really feel like this one is what you expect when you order a memory foam topper. Instead of an initial firmness, then just sink in, you just kind of sink. However...I actually think it is more comfortable than my other one, and I love the fact of how soft it is. If firmness is what you are looking for, I wouldn't suggest this one. If you ARE looking for a thick, extremely soft, molding cushion to sleep on, this is perfect. I am a 20 yr old college student, and comfort was my main goal, and it was achieved! I am extremely happy with my purchase! see less

I like this mattress topper for the price. it was less exspensive than some of the others. I bought it because my mattress is about 7 years old and kind of stiff. I wanted something that was more conforming to my body and softer. It is both of these. My only concern is it may not have enough support. I have really enjoyed it and am gald I purcahsed it. I bought this to go on the very thin mattress that is on our pull-out couch. I waited several weeks to write my review since others had stated that it was good and comfortable "for now." I thought I'd see how it did after being slept on and folded up into our couch many times. I can honestly say that now it is a little more smashed down, but when the bed is pulled out it pops back up almost to original size. I still think it's very comfortable and well worth the money. I would recommend this product and am happy with my purchase, especially considering the higher price of many other toppers. see less

I bought this to place on top of a thin mattress and under a down mattress topper. The four inches measures from the flat side to the peak of each egg, which would be fine if the valleys of the mattress weren't so thin, about a quarter of an inch. I would suggest a memory foam mattress top, but not the egg crate design. Go for a flat cut over the egg crate. see less

bought this several years ago because my husband has a rotator cuff shoulder problem but he likes to sleep on his side. He loves this memory foam! It cushions him enough that he can sleep on his side comfortably. Unfortunately, like all memory foam, it retains heat so I wasn't able to tolerate it. We recently purchased a select comfort bed and my husband put his memory foam on his side which is set to 35 and I'm happily cool on my side set at 70. WHen we purchased this memory foam, it was WHITE but I set it outside to air out a bit. It has an odor that eventually dissipates but the sun exposure caused the foam to turn yellow. Nobody sees the foam so it's no big deal but be aware that it does have an initial odor. see less

Just bought a regular twin mattress, 10" thick for our daughter. It has a pillow top, so I don't want any extra bulk, esp. since this is going on a daybed and I don't want another 1/2" of padding. It's like a Tyvek material, the stuff cleanup suits are made of with a thin fabric top. I like that it goes all the way around the mattress, which is important when kids can make messes that defy the laws of gravity. Also like that it keeps bugs and dust out. Wish it were about [$]cheaper though...it doesn't look like it will last a lifetime. see less
