I received this quickly and am so happy with it. It's the perfect addition to my family room! I am not a fan of the leather handles that hang out when the hard tray is turned up but they are pictured and I knew they were there. The small cubes are smaller than I imagined and one of the feet was broken off when I opened it - they are cheap plastic and I imagine would break off if a heavier person sat on them but I am very happy with the look and quality overall, would recommend!! see less

Most reviewers have said they used it for their entryway, but I've actually used this for my mud room. I had been looking for a while for something wide enough that wasn't cheesy and didn't cost a fortune. After looking in several high end stores I saw this online and took a chance.....boy was I delighted with the end result! It was like the vision in my head translated to the room. High end style well worth the much cheaper price. The back is hidden being up against the wall, but really, who looks at the back anyway? I personally like the cushions, but I can always change them whenever I want. We plan on putting black skid resistant matting under the baskets to take care of any potential scratches some of the previous reviewers mentioned. Bought 2 of these ottomans for symetry. Very nice! They're higher in height which makes sitting down on them a breeze and not torture for the knees. the styling is very nice, turned legs are solid wood and a very nice touch. Overall, there are more substantial than the ubiquitous storage ottomans out there. Very sturdy with a good weight, so sitting doesn't feel iffy! If these came in other colors I'd buy more as they proved very useful at party I recently hosted. The guests commented on how cool they were in terms of style, height and heft. Go For it! see less

I just purchased this bench and it was lighter than I thought it would be. The legs were all on and nothing was broken. I have it my room now and it adds so much to the vintage effect! I love the script, it is in a dk brwn, and the fabric is a linen texture and color...very close to the picture. The legs are dk brwn so I'll be painting them white to match my other furniture. It can hold a king size quilt, sheets, and a standard pillow for guests...perfect. Also, I sat on it and it is comfy but i can tell it's not made for sitting on all the time, or for a heavy individual...but good enough. I have a picture of it in my room, but cannot post it here. I bought the armless chair in this pattern, LOVE the colors and style of the fabric, BUT after only 3 months the fabric looks very shoddy and worn. We don't even use it on a daily basis, it's more for decoration than anything else. It's gotten very fuzzy. Even my husband noticed and he doesn't notice anything! It sometimes makes it very difficult for people like me to get the truth about a product because some people will just complain about everything. Anyway, this product is great! If you read the dimensions of the product before you purchase, you will know that this product is not meant to be a large ottoman and the photos show the comparison next to a chair. This item is perfect for storage and I purchased 2 of them and see no major variances in color and it matches my wicker ottoman purchased from another vendor. Just bought two of these in-store to use together like a coffee table. I really wanted something with soft curves, like this round ottoman, but wanted a flat top to rest drinks on too. It was difficult finding something that fit the bill, but this works great. They are actually very sturdy and easily could double as a seat. At [$], I think they were a pretty good deal. Other ottomans at Target at a similar price point did not look as nice in the store - many felt like cheap fabric, but I really like these. The fabric is pin-tucked around the sides, which gives it a lot of visual interest. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that the "wood" top really seems more like pressed particle board, or a very thin veneer. It doesn't feel or look like real wood at all. But not a big deal for considering it's relatively cheap price. see less

This storage ottoman far exceeded my expectations. I saw a beautiful chair in this script pattern in a department store for close to [$] dollars, and in my mind thought, "I wish!" Imagine my surprise and delight when I ordered this ottoman, and found that it is practically identical, in style, look and quality, to the chair I found that was over 10 times the price of the ottoman! It's beautiful, classy, elegant--and truly looks like it would be worth way more than I paid for it. People can't believe I got it at Target. And while it's a great size for both putting your feet on and for storing things--it works wonderfully for storing blankets, pillows, etc.--it's not too large like some ottomans I've seen. It's just perfect for our condo living room. I love it so much I'm considering getting the bench in this same pattern for our bedroom. see less

I bought this to use as a coffee table. I really love the storage and the design of this ottoman. But my major complaint is that you can see the glue on the lid to the wooden board. It's also bonded leather, which is going to show wear quickly. Even brand new, I can see a couple problem spots. And the espresso color is a little darker than pictured. We looked for an upholstered ottoman to replace our coffee table for nearly a year before stumbling across this piece. Purchased it online before hosting a big get together in May of '12 so that I wouldn't have to make the hour drive to the nearest store. Still had to make the drive - the original showed up damaged. the underside of the upholstery had a 16" cut in it, which didn't go all the way through, but you could tell where it was. I exchanged instore, making sure to check the replacement over thoroughly before walking out the door. other than that, it has been wonderful. No worries about small children hitting their heads on a hard coffee table anymore. It's easy to clean and looks great in our informal living room. I've also added baskets to the shelf underneath for remote and reading material storage. Originally we wanted leather, but in the end this was by far the better upholstery choice.We love it! see less

Overall I LOVE this ottoman. It is made of linen and I would call the color a French yellow. The very popular color or deep yellow found in stores now --I got an adorable lamp shade at Target that is an exact match! this brought my whole room together. It does take awhile to get as they drop ship it from the mfg. Oh and the legs are inside the ottoman! There is Velcro on one of the sides and once you open, there you will find the legs zip tied to the inside of the frame! The first ottoman I got was damaged. The linen looked like it had ripped. I was sure glad I kept the first one until I received the second as my first set of legs were espresso colored the second were black! Those wouldn't have gone in my room at all! For the price, you can't beat the value and I am very happy. see less

Thought this would be a gray version of the brown ottoman I saw in the store, but was exactly the same one. It is not a charcoal slate color at all, which I interpreted to be as dark gray with brown tones. But it is a nice material and good quality for the price. Good size storage with quality hinges that keep the lid from slamming shut. Only wish they made a longer version - had to buy two -and offered more color choices. It is not a wall hugger so you need to have a little space from the wall when opening the lid. see less

I purchased this a few months ago and was in love with it. I brought it home and set it all up and it looked great in my house. Then i started to realize it was pilling a little bit. Next, I noticed that when you put your feet up on it casually it leaves an indentation from where you had your feet placed. Not impressed. Slowly but surely those indentations STAYED. So not happy with the quality of this bench, I bought it on a whim.... buying something like this at target for [$] is not my thing becuase I was afraid of the quality. I've had this ottoman for about 4 months. Recently, and while simply trying to move it slightly, one of the legs snapped completely off. When I pulled back the fabric on the bottom to try to fix it, I found that the entire frame under the fabric is made with cheap, crumbly particle board. There is simply no fixing the leg, because the part to which it attaches has completely disintegrated into an pile of sawdust, leaving an odd, roughly shaped thin piece of particleboard behind. But since its past 90 days, I can't return this, and I spent much more on it than it is currently on sale for. AVOID. see less

so i bought this to store DVDs in for our living room. I should have paid closer attention to the measurements because you can only fit DVDs one deep, but that's my fault. it works perfect for what we use it for otherwise. we have a layer of DVDs and then put our Wii guitars on top of that. Nice and out of the way. Sturdy enough to sit on, although we honestly don't. It sits in the corner with a breakfast tray on top of it and we use it like a side table. it's a pretty okay fake leather, but i wasn't really expecting it to be super high quality for the price. Easy to keep clean. Make sure you have a little clearance behind it for opening the lid. The hinges have been good an sturdy for us so far. Overall, very happy with it. see less

It was very easy to assemble. It isn't heavy and the fabric is nice. There isn't much cushion, though. It also doesn't seem very robust. We have four kids and I doubt this bench will last very long with the abuse it will get from the kids over the years. This was very easy to put together. It came in 3 pieces, the seat and each side/legs, and took about 8 bolts to put together. It feels sturdy. The red is a deeper red than it appears on the website, and the wood is a very dark brown. It is, IMHO, a bit stubbier than I expected. That is, it is fairly short length-wise and it is fatter/sticks out from the wall more than I expected. Two thin people could sit side-by-side, but there would be little room to spare. If you are considering using this at a dining room table, I would get the other red floral bench instead. see less

Unfortunately, within a couple months, the hinges on the ottomann got stuck and we could no longer close it. My husband and I always open the ottomann, not the baby, so the hinges should not have broke. We do love the ottomann so we are ordering another one and hope it will last longer! see less
