I've been using this pan for about a week and I really like it. I had an expensive non stick Earth Pan and I cooked a sauce in it that I guess had too much sugar, and it burned. I couldn't even scrub it clean. So being that I'm on a tight budget and all, I tried this pan. I 've cooked eggs, grilled cheese, toast, chicken breast etc... I am a cook, and this is a good pan especially for the price. Some of the other name brand non-stick pans at Target are like [$] for ONE pan. I like this pan too because you can use cooking spray on it. I couldn't do that with the Earth Pan. Being that it is non-stick, a little cooking spray goes a long way. I usually just wipe mine clean with a paper towel :)
I didn't need anything fancy, I don't care if it's made from aluminum, I'm not planning on using it for pouring... I just needed a 2-qt saucepan for heating soups and making sauces. And I can't figure what another reviewer was talking about, that the bottom is way smaller than the top edge. Perhaps they received a completely different pan from what they ordered, but the pan that I ordered, the one pictured above, is exactly as it was described and it fits just fine on either the small or the large electric burner. The top of the pan is NOT smaller than the bottom.
You can't beat it for the price, it's lightweight but not so much that it 'feels' cheap and it even comes with a lid.
I ordered it to take a chance despite bad reviews. When I received it, it's exactly same the one in the Chefmate 3 Piece Cookware Set sold on Target website. And ratings for those are pretty good, all 5 star!
This pan is good, light-weight and coating does look durable. It fits perfect on the small electric burner, and only exposes the last ring of the bigger burner.
Overall, happy that it's the piece that actually has better reviews and people are happy using it! I am happy too as it's good for cooking curries for my family of 2.
