I actually got this for my Mother, due to her hair had diminished from having surgery. She tried several products but nothing seemed to work. She was buying the cheapest products she could find at the local drug store. Being raised during the depression will do that to a person. After using 8 cans of the foam her hair is thicker and fuller than she can remember. She's 87 so she's had a lot of time to know her hair. I've never had a very good experience with electric shavers. While they generally irritate my skin less than a razor, they also tend to leave hairs behind or not get close enough to the skin. I decided to give the PT730 a try, and after a few weeks of use I've been pretty impressed. POSITIVES - Good, close shave without having to make excessive passes with the head - Low irritation - Easy to clean - Battery seems to exceed the quoted 40 minute runtime per charge - Good build quality, doesn't feel voerly cheap - Charge indicator light NEGATIVES - No travel case, minimal accessories - The hinge for the sideburn trimmer feels a little flimsy, but works well So far, I'm pleasantly surprised by what I've gotten for the price. I've spent nearly twice as much on gimmicky wet shavers that underperformed in comparison. I hope the quality holds up over time. I had never used an electric razor before now, because I did not believe It would give me the results I got with a disposable razor. The Powertouch Cordless Razor has changed my views on shaving altogether. The flexible heads make it easy and comfortable to shave on a regular basis. I find myself shaving on a more consistent basis because it is so much quicker and easier. The cleaning of the Powertouch is as simple as running it under water and letting it dry, it really is that easy! I have shaved with it now for over a week and still have not needed to recharge it. The pop-up trimmer is a nice feature for keeping sideburns and goatees trimmed up. Overall, I am extremely happy with the product and do not anticipate having to replace it for a long time. I have been using the Gillette Fusion Proglide since it's availability, and I have to say I am hooked. have terribly rough facial hair for electric razors AND sensitive skin so when I went to shave with an electric razor it just got, messy. Not anymore..the gillette is small enough and sharp enough to not beat up on my face anymore, It's small and compact and just works great. My ONLY con..if I had to say one..is I wish it was rechargeable, however one double AA battery is a small price to pay for the confidence this razor gives you in your look. see less

After 6 months I still love it! I have a VERY tough beard with hair that grows in all directions. Never thought I could use an electric. I had tried electric razors before and they never worked for me. I would break out like crazy too. This Panasonic does a fantastic job! My face was a little raw the first 3 days I used it, but after my face got used to it I don't have skin issues anymore. It shaves almost as close as my [...], but it takes less time to shave and I can use it in the shower easier than my regular razor! Plus no shaving mess in the sink! Cleaning it is really slick. Only negative things I can say is that if my beard gets 3 days long it doesn't work so well my fault, and the trimmer will bite me every now and then. I just use my beard trimmer for that as I have a goatee. It does not do the edges very well, but I just clean those up with my [...] in a couple of swipes. Get one, it's totally worth spending the extra money! see less

It's awkward to hold the lamp in your mouth for such a long time, it's warming on your teeth, but no worse than zoom at the dentist. The Powertouch is the first electric razor that Ive used for more than 2 weeks before switching back to blades. I've used standard blades ever since I started shaving simply because none of the electrics Ive tried have given me nearly as close/smooth a shave. The Powertouch not only gives a close, smooth shave, it does so much quicker than other electrics and doesnt leave any more ingrowns than blades do. I have sensitive skin and the fact that I have almost no razor burn after using it is very impressive. It is very well built and has a very solid feel to it, and is easy to clean. It also holds its charge very well, giving multiple shaves on a single charge. The Quick Charge feature is also very cool, great for emergencies. Overall, this is a great razor at a reasonable price, I really cant think of a single major complaint. I really liked the quality of the shave when using this razor dry. It works as well as any electric shaver i have used. It is very nice however that you can use this razor with shaving cream and/or the shower as well. I do not however think that the quality of the shave is as good wet as it is dry. Another nice feature is that even if you only use the razor dry, you can clean it with water. see less

I had shaved with electric razors for years, Norelcos in fact, but switched to a blade a few years ago since my electric wouldn't work if my face was wet or sweaty at all. I got tired of face nicks, which take forever to stop bleeding and purchased this to see if the wet capability made a difference. Boy, does it ever! In fact, it seems to provide a better shave if I use a little shaving cream. I have ditched the blade and now shave only with this. It's significantly better than my previous Norelcos. Been shaving for decades. Blade razor, rotary razor dry, blade razor, more blades, more money...etc This razor is unbelievable. I use it wet with Edge gel. Several pleasant surprises. Too quick for words, usually one good pass and done. Cleans easily with hot water soon as I am finished. I cannot believe how close this shaves my beard, as close or CLOSER than my best blades ever did. I have a cleft in my chin and it easily gets every last nub. I've had several Norelcos over the years, none ever compared to this gem. It's worth every penny for the closeness, comfort, and lightning quick shave it gives. see less

I have tried two other electric shavers in past and am very hard get pleased. I used this shaver for a month and now i can surely tell it deserves all the starts what i given to it. It really satisfies all what a user would want out of it's Shaver. With other electric shaver i had a bad feeling left at my skin after using them but for this product it gives a smooth touch and very comfortable to use it. The Favorite feature i like is the easy to use it for both dry and wet shave which makes it much more convenient. I don't think it has any compassion to other products in the same price range as here we are getting a lot for such a reasonable price.I see a great future to this product and have already gifted one set to my brother who also like this a lot. Wasn't sure what to expect when I used the shaver as this style hasn't always been my favorite, but this shaver right here hands down is the best I've used yet. It leaves such a clean smooth shave every time leaving my face feelings clean and not all stubbly. I've used this product in and out of water and handles very well, the grip is perfect feel to your hand as you shave, and the little cleaning tool that comes with it is great. I've used it without shaving cream or anything like that too and doesn't bother the skin or leave any marks. Hands down my favorite shaver to date love it! Oh and great for travel comes with perfect little zip case to carry it in. see less

to start off ive only used salon brands when it comes to my hair, my girlfriend got me an axe value pack and it came with this, i tried it just cuz i had it and i was pleasantly surprised with this product, i go for the euro david beckham kind of hair style and this held it perfectly, seriously! dont let the brand or the price make you not trust this, it worked very well!! its VERY comparable to "bumble and bumble sumotech"except its 1/6th of the price!! see less

This razor provides a close shave, wet or dry, without razor burn. I've used electric razors for 35 years, this is one of my favorites. Great value. The only accessory that would improve this razor would be the charging/cleaning receptacle. That said, it would be much more expensive and less convenient for travel. see less

I have a better Arc 4 at home, bought this one for our weekend place. It shaves very good, similar to my other, more expensive model so if you don't use the trimmer this is a good choice. The trimmer on this one is nearly useless. You can sort of get it to trim your sideburns but it's useless for other areas like around ears, nose etc.. I will be exchanging this for the better [other brand] and hope that it has a better trimmer. see less

This shaver is simply Ok, it will marginally do its job on the face, poorly on the neck or worse, and the trimmer is absolutely useless. I am impressed it is so bad at its price level, you would do much better with the LA63 or the 8243. Also [..] shavers are usually made in Japan and this one is made in China, I doubt the quality. I came from a Braun activator followed by a [..] 8243 excellent that recently broke and had to be sent back under warranty. Bottomline not recommended at all, other better, cheaper options out there. see less

This replacement blade is somewhat better than the one that came with the original shaver. The original's blade was good, but this one seems to be much smoother on your back. I will buy another again and probably good to keep an extra anyway. see less
