These balls are great! My little one loves jumping in them, and with that, stepping on them. Even with her, 27lb 2yr old, stepping all over them, they keep their shape. I just wish these were a little cheaper since this bag doesn't go very far, you need quite a few to make any sort of puddle in a ball pit, but I did find these in store for half of the price, so can't beat that! I was so excited to give this to my son for Christmas. He loves Spiderman and I thought it would be a great indoor toy or hideout. We opened the box this morning and immediately realized the flashlight did not work. And yes we put batteries in. The backpack is really just a very cheaply made pouch. I was disappointed to see that the tent does not have a bottom, but I figured you get what you pay for and it would only be used indoors, so it wasn't that big of a deal. My son LOVED it when he got to take his nap in it. Shortly after that, my daughter accidentally tripped and ran into it. One of the things that holds the tent pole sections together snapped in half instantly, and I don't believe it can be fixed. I know I did not pay a lot for this item, but I would have expected it to hold up more than 6 hours. As it is, I basically have a child's sleeping bag I could have bought anywhere for a fraction of the price. Don't waste your money on this product. It's not worth it! see less

My grandson just turned 3 yrs old and he loved the tent/hide-out that his Mi-Mi got him...I feel it is an educational toy in that it moves him to use his imagination and creativity...he takes other toys (like his dinosaurs or cowboys & indians) into his 'secret hide-out' and entertains himself without videos, batteries or any electronic devices, that are so common with young children these days. I am an advocate for educating our youth through creativity and not a growing dependence on electronic devices...especially where 'play' is concerned. Too many parents use tv and video games as babysitters and lose contact with their children's actual abilities and mental growth...not to mention allowing them to develop their own personalities without having to use a joystick or remote control. see less

It is alot of fun for my kids ages 1yr, 2.5yrs, and 5 yrs but it is top heavy and I have had to replace it twice so far. The seam gave out the first time so I contacted Step 2 they actually replaced it quickly but then a few weeks later the kids got a hole in it again so I bought another one. Also the fan thing doesn't work like it should and you have to make sure it is completely blown up or it leans from being top heavy and like another poster said it is hard for smaller kids to get the balls up there. see less

I am a home child care-giver. I have a full week of ball pits. I am a little disappointed in this ball pit. It is too high for kids to add the balls. The kids liked it but I have to put the balls on top and they shake the sides for the balls to come down because the propeller part does not work as well as just shaking it. I don't know how it will hold up because it came on a Friday so there was just one day for the kids to play with it. The kids were excited to play in it and they did like it. I hope it holds up the next time I put it out. see less

If your child is more rambunctious, then this may not be the tent for you. It has lasted much longer than the previous tent we had which he destroyed in a few days. I agree with the previous poster. It is flimsy. There was a typo in the directions which threw me off, but it's so simple to assemble it wasn't hard to figure it out at all. We purchased this tent for a trip to Jamaica with our 7-month-old baby. It worked great. We set it up on the beach, and he played and slept in it. The breeze blew right through it, keeping him nice and cool. The tent is tall enough to hang a mobile from, if you sew a loop on the inside ceiling, (pretty easy to do). It folds up so small that it doesn't take up much room in a suitcase. I don't know what we would have done without it. see less

I hesitated on ordering this because of the bad reviews, but my 7 year old is really into star wars so i went ahead and got it. It is nice a roomy ( he is very tall for his age and weighs 100lbs and has no problem in it. As long as you dont have numerous rowdy kids playing rough in it ( Im guessing thats what really happened with the people who claimed poor construction) it is well worth the money and your child will love hanging out in their own "star wars ship" see less

This toy looked like so much fun. My son loved it for about the first 5 minutes, then the ball shooter piece fell apart, I mean all the plastic seams just started to separate! It's pitiful. There is no way to patch that, then even the balls are all splitting at the seams and breaking in half. The Spaceship part the kids love though, it's all inflatable like those kinds you can use in a pool or something, and the backpack is inflatable, a bit bulky and doesn't stay on too well but my son still plays with it, he just can' shoot the balls, So other than the hard plastic parts (the red ball shooter piece and the balls) it's not too bad, but I got it cause I knew my kids would love the ball shooting part, and my son was pretty bummed when it only lasted about 5 minutes. So if you like the backpack part and the space ship then its great, but don't count on the shooter part. see less

He fell on the inflated side while climbing in, and by that evening, it was deflated. This toy encourages imaginative play which can't help but get active at times, and this toy is definitely not designed to withstand much activity! Our son was baby when we bought this item. He's loved it ever since. It's too big to have it all set up in the house but we do leave two tunnels and a tent up in the house all the time. When it's all put together it is a huge structure for fun! It's his favorite toy and loves to "hide out" in there. I received this as a gift. It's a nice tent. I didn't pay attention to how to fold it, so now we're online looking for instructions because there were none in the box, and I threw the box away without looking to see if there were instructions on the outside. Overall I like the tent. I disagree with the "missing floor" problem of the other user... I have another Playhut tent that this attaches to nicely and none of those main pieces have bottoms. The tunnels have the floors in them. What I didn't like about this one was that when standing, the child can not see out. There are no net viewing places. Another downfall is one of the flaps, of 2, does not have ties to keep it open. Overall this will be one of her favorite places to hide, along with the other Playhut attachment. see less

I recently purchased this playhut for my toddler. While she loved going into and out of the tunnel, the main portion had no floor so if she stood and walked . . . well, the playhut went with her. I see this as a design flaw and one that was a dealbreaker for me. I took it back, because we couldn't be sure she wouldn't "walk" with it, not be able to see where she was going and end up hurting herself. I think we'll try again with one of the more expensive ones. I'm hoping they don't have the same flaw, since she really enjoys "hiding out." see less

All three of my children love this toy. Even my twin boys loved it when they were about 9 months old and crawling. When we first got it I kept it out for about a week straight, now I put it away (folds nicely) and pull it out when my kids need a new toy, or I'm about to lose my mind. We've owned it for about 5 months now and I see no visible sign of wear/tear. I'm shocked at some of the other reviews, anytime I purchase a toy that I feel is defective or dangerous I always go back to the store or manufacturer.
