I always love Canon, and I bought this one to replace my Canon PowerShot A560. This Canon SX150 has a good zoom quality. Easy to use although a little bulky, not really fit on most pockets. The flash charges a little too long, but I hardly use it even for indoor because it has options for different indoor lights using the Program. Also I have been using Kodak Ni-MH digital camera rechargeable batteries for years on my old Canon and I use it on this Canon and it last for a whole trip, to the museum, hiking etc. So far I have no complain for this camera. see less

Okay the only thing I have bad to say about this camera is the battery life at least with the batteries it came with. I took only about 10-20 pictures and the batteries were alreadyh dying. I did take advise from soem of the other reviews and got the better batteries. I used it today and took several great shots of my mothers day out kiddos doing their easter egg hunt and I was really happy. I took shots of them running and there weren't any blury ones like you get sometimes with other cameras. I'm really excited about using it at my daughters recital in May! I will update again! see less

This is a great camera for kids or for using around water or where the item may be dropped. We got this for my 5 year old and he loves it. It takes decent pictures if there is good lighting or if you have a steady hand. The best features of this camera are that it is waterproof, shock resistant, my 2 year old dropped it down the stairs on to wood floor and it was fine, and that the lens is in the center of the camera so fingers don't end up in the picture. Battery life is decent. One reviewer said it only has 10 MB of internal memory, I didn't even know it had internal memory, but like almost every other camera in the world you can put an SD card in it and it will hold thousands of pictures and you won't eat through batteries transferring pictures if you have an SD card slot on your computer. In general the kids like it and they can actually take some pictures you could have printed out. see less

My #1 use of this camera will be strictly for in-the-water, outdoors. I knew before buying this camera that I wouldn't be able to toggle the flash which would drive me crazy. However, non-flash pictures still turn out crisp underwater even on overcast days. The AA batteries option seems inconvenient but I have rechargeable batteries so I'm not concerned with constantly throwing batteries away. The camera's date and time do reset whenever you replace the batteries but that's not a big issue for me. The cherry on top for me was the floating strap. I've taken this camera to the pool a few times and the strap has saved me from diving to the bottom of the pool whenever I let go of the camera. I'm very pleased with my purchase because my biggest requirement and expectation is for the camera to work underwater. If you are planning to buy this camera to take normal pictures, I suggest you shop for something else, because you are mostly paying for the waterproof capability of this camera. see less

The picture quality is awful unless you use the flash. The flash rarely works since you can only set it to auto or off and it has to be almost pitch black for it to trigger. When the flash does come on it flashes 3 times on a delay which always leaves someone blinking. The wrist strap and case are cute ideas but the quality just isn't worth it. see less

Pros- Excellent pictures, excellent resolution, turns on quickly. Cons- Need to learn Coolpix/ Nikon interface well to take excellent pictures, clumsy touchscreen, takes long time to shut off. Video record button is in clumsy place. I bought this camera out of haste in a surprise trip abroad. This is my second Coolpix, but I found they changed some items on the "Scene" menu and added a few new items. The auto-brightness and auto-focus works well once you learn how to interact with the camera and the touchscreen interface. The camera is not intuitive to random people that you hand the camera to take your picture. Thus you may have pictures in which the foreground is not as bright as the background. As this is a 16MP camera, you should have an appropriate SD card. I found a 4GB too small as the average picture size is 6.5MB. The minimum SD card is 8GB or better. see less

My boyfriend bought me a Nikon Coolpix S4200 for Christmas and I've used it 2 times since Christmas of 2012 and I am very disappointed in the camera. The pictures turn out either very bright or very dark and adjusting the flash doesn't make a difference. The camera is also very slow, after taking a picture you need to wait about 15 to 20 seconds before you can take another one. If you try to look at the picture or take another one it says, "please wait for camera to finish recording." The thing is I wasn't even on recording mode. I have tried changing the settings and that has not made a difference. We are going to return this camera and buy a Canon Powershot and hopefully that camera will be better. I would not recommend buying this camera. see less

I bought this camera last week on my way to the Coast for vacation. I'd had another camera in mind but for the price and camera capabilities, this one ended up being the better deal. First off, the flash on my camera works perfectly. Whatever problems the other customer had, she either didn't know how to work it properly or the camera had a factory flaw. There are a TON of options for such a simple little point and shoot camera. There's 3D picture mode, a beach scene mode, panoramic shots and all the other standards from night shots to portraits and even a smart shot mode which takes AMAZING pictures. Beats auto mode hands down. The pictures it takes are solid once you figure out what mode works best for each scene. The only issue I have so far is I can't find the speed shutter mode, to take multiple pictures at once, course that might just be the sports mode and I haven't caught on yet ha-ha. Overall, for the price and quality, this camera is well worth what you pay for it. see less

I bought this camera a week ago thinking it was going to be a great camera for the price. Was I ever wrong! I've tried rechargeable and lithium batteries JUST tested the camera around the house, and both types are at half life in no time at all. I'm thinking this has GOT to be a defect, because NO camera should burn through batteries THAT fast! Also, any sort of movement in the photo, and there's a huge blur. I found the design to be putsy and not user friendly. I'm planning to return this today for a different model. If I'm denied the exchange for any reason I will be HIGHLY disappointed in Target, as I do not see myself being happy with this model or even using it. see less

This camera is HORRIBLE. The only pictures that come out decent are the ones that are in daylight. low light pictures all come out blurry. super slow shutter speed so you lose the shot you're trying to take. Recieved this camera for christmas eve and was so excited to take pictures on christmas day! When I started up camera it kept saying lens error! Over and over the lens wouldnt open! I was devastated when Christmas day arrived the camera suddenly opened and worked. Now days later it right back to lense error. So I will be returning it ,but love how easy it was to use. I was a nikon user before and I like the set up of canon better. Hopefully it was just a glinch and not all canon are like this. see less

Used to have a Canon PowerShot SD780IS and I really liked it. I lost that camera and decided to try another. This Sony is much better. The pictures take much faster and time between photos is shorter. There is a lot less blurry photos - if there are even any. This is a very good camera from Sony. I love the overall design, its very versatile and feels good in the hand. The picture quality of the camera is outstanding! At 16.2 megapixels, this camera takes beautiful photos, great for landscape and professional photography. This is my third water resistant camera. I purchased a competing product last year. While it was a good camera, the shutter speed was much slower than that on the Nikon AW110. In addition, the new camera has an easy to use white balance function, especially useful for taking underwater photos and using a white slab for diving. The pictures come out very well and video is equal or better in performance than other cameras I have used. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a camera to use underwater. It is waterproof up to 58 feet. It also works well for general use when there's a chance it could be banged up. see less

I have an iphone 4s that takes incredible pictures and is very handy since I'm always with my phone. I did, however, want a camera to take on a recent vacation. I found this little gem at my local Target marked down and decided I had to scoop it up. Man am I glad that I did! This camera is small enough to throw in my purse yet can take some of the most stunning photos. I joke with my friends that they'll all look like supermodels when I take their photo with this camera. So true! I really like the fact that I can be walking and take a picture at the same time....and the picture comes out clear and focused. No blurs... I've enjoyed this camera for the past 4 months and think anyone else thinking of buying it should definitely do so. Great buy, thanks Target! see less

After ruining our last camera when it was accidentaly dipped in a creek, I wanted a waterproof one. Well, this camera is waterproof-tested it with pics and video settings. This camera was great. I was slightly concerned based on reading reviews of many other underwater cameras, but this one worked perfectly everyday underwater to capture our pictures. It was a great camera for the price and would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a camera for vacation or any other occasion. The many different modes were also helpful to capture everything we did. We did clean and dry the camera after every use, so following the manual and directions will definitely add to the longevity and life of the camera. Overall it was a great buy and I would definitely say it is one of the best on the market for both value and quality! see less

I received this product as a gift. At first I wasn't sure that it would be what I wanted as a replacement for my previous camera. After taking the first few pictures I found it surpassed my expectations. The plastic protective face cover and compact size are excellent features. And I am impressed by the clarity of the display. I have only had my new camera a couple of days but am loving it so far. I had a Canon ELPH 110 and gave it away as a gift to my daughter so when replacing my old camera I read several reviews and this one appeared to be a bit better replacement. So glad I did - more bells and whistles. Love the WiFi feature - it keeps my husband busy learning all the newest and greatest functions. The picture color seems to be very bright and true to life. Easy to use. I have had no problem with the WiFi. I was able to connect the very first try. THe picture quality is great and the battery life is very good. I bought this camera a few months ago and I love it! The touch screen is really cool and the picture quality is wonderful. Canon does an excellent job and their cameras last a long time (my previous Canon lasted me 5 years before it FINALLY died and I could buy a new one :P ) but it served me so well it was a bargain. My only wish is that this camera were a little less expensive so that more people could enjoy it...but with all the great features it is worth paying full price if you can manage it! Getting one, even slightly used, for a bit of a discount would be the best way to go if you can find one! see less

This is the worse camera in the world. I just recently got it for Christmas and after I used it, I was not able to view my pictures. I even tried to save the pictures and tried to upload it to my [computer] but all of the files were corrupted. [...] I am going to return this camera back to Target tomorrow and get a different camera. This is by far the worse camera. [...] It is definitely not worth your money what so ever.
