Do not be afraid to pressure cook. This Nesco cooker is the least expensive one I could find on line, but seems to be very well-built. This cooker is very quiet and easy to program. When the pressure is at the right point, it starts counting down the number of minutes requested. You can brown right in the same pan and use it as a slow cooker or food server, keeping food warm. This pressure cooker is not small, but only takes up about a square foot of counter space. I have a pantry to store mine in when not in use. The only down-side I see is that the cooker is tall and some people might have a problem seeing down inside of it. So far, I have made mac & ceese and porcupne meatballs. [...] I believe this pressure cooker is an excellent value and will be recommending it to friends. Shipping by Target was very fast.
