I bought this for my son's first Birthday. He has been playing with it everyday for a couple months and it played a major role in helping him learn how to walk. Sme reviews say it has sharp edges and loose screws. I went over this thing with a fine tooth comb. Every edge is smooth and rounded, sanded to perfection. The screws are fastened tight and it is a very substantial and solid toy. It enhances motor skills and I love using the alphabet and animal references when teaching my son. And I can say the quality of the one I purchased is satisfactory. see less

We bought this for our son when he was 10 months old. At 13 months he still enjoys it, although I do hide it away every so often just to keep it fresh--bring it out again after a week or so and it's like a brand new toy again! For what it's worth, he LOVES the box it came in. I was about to recycle it about a month ago, but he got a hold of it. He plays with it every day...he gets busy pushing it around, playing peekaboo with the cat in it, dropping toys in through the holes in the sides. Seriously, the fun he has with the cardboard box combined with the toy itself is worth the price! see less

We got this for my 16 month old for Christmas, and he LOVES it! The only problem is that some of the continents are too hard to push. He ends up tapping it on the ground to get it started. I really loved the idea of this play mat. You can put it together to fit in an oddly shaped space if you need to. It isn't very durable though. After just a couple of weeks I've noticed a lot of scratches on it. If you have a kid who's not super gentle this mat will be destroyed really quickly. I have an infant who really doesn't do much more than lay on it and I've got scratches. see less

Got this toy for my 9 month old son for Christmas, and he absolutely loves it!!! It's a great product and he loves to chew on the balls and spin the green dinosaur that the balls pass through to get to the bouncing stage. He also thinks it's funny watching the balls bounce everywhere...and I mean everywhere(I think the sides could have been a little higher to keep the balls in better.) I've been working with him to throw the balls back in. I would have liked to have seen a storage space for the balls though, I am constantly chasing the balls down because he gets them out of the dino's belly and rolls them everywhere. I am glad there is a volume setting on it as well. Overall this was a great purchase for my little one! see less

My husband & I decided not to go the route of buying our son a million electronic toys, preferring building toys & books. However this was a first birthday gift from friends, and he LOVES it. We love that the speaking voice and songs are among the better quality I have heard. Also, there is enough variety in the songs and games to not leave you wanting to bang your head up against a wall. Perfect to keep H. entertained when we are in the car, and for packing in his go bag. Battery life is holding up well with continued use. Overall, well worth the money. Would say from our experience, 6 months might be a little young, and 2 years a bit old. Would recommend for the 9-18 month range. see less

a nephew of mine received a Lettersaurus as a presence and because we find it educational and my child tend to like it we bought another one, the toy is really good it just we just find out that the letter X has an erroneous concern and will surely confuse a child with it's X - exit, due to this I don't let my child play the said portion of the toy anymore, hope you can address this concern for the benefit of the children who really are enjoying the said toy. Do want to recommend with my friends but double-minded due to said concern. see less

We love all LeapFrog toys we have so far. In reference to several other reviews, I like that the "x" uses the word "exit." My son is only 15 months old and saying the letter x and then a word that doesn't use that sound wouldn't make sense at this point. This one word on one toy is certainly not going to harm his ability to learn to read or write. I like that it has three settings. Right now my son loves music so that is his favorite setting, and I'm sure as he gets older the colors and letters will be more interesting. It would be fun if it said his whole name like Scout does. see less

Every child is different. For our child, this has been the perfect toy! Whenever I'm heading to/from daycare with her (only 8 min each way), she gets bored and starts stripping off her shoes, socks, tossing toys, etc. I keep trying to keep her engaged, but she hasn't quite learned to talk yet (songs don't have that much interest yet), and loves having something in her hands. Nana got her this phone for her 1st birthday. She absolutely loves it! Not only does it keep her engaged for her short car trips (so I don't have to re-dress her when we get to our destination), but it also keeps her from grabbing for our phones. The other day when I brought her home, she kept pressing the #4 and saying f-- before the phone said "Four." If she doesn't know her numbers through 10 from this thing before she's 18 months, I'll be surprised. My only complaint is that I can't call it when it's gone missing. :) (My daughter likes putting stuff in/under other things. This is the perfect size to find it's way under a couch cushion, down the stairs, in her toy car, etc.) see less

She leaves the phones in the most rediculous places and they are always running around looking for the phones! Well now she has her own! I'm sure this will be much more interesting for her! The phone is well built and is great for small little hands and a curious mind. The value is great also. My son just got this for his first birthday. He really likes the other pop toys so I opened this and thought he would love it. He likes the blocks that it comes with, but it is WAY to hard to push on our carpet. There is no way he can even play with it to suck the blocks up. :( He will only be able to use it in the kitchen on the tile. He is not walking completely steady enough yet, but he will definitely not be able to use this for a very long time....if ever. Be careful if you have thick carpet when buying this product. see less

We were looking for a mat that we could put on a floor for our son's tummy time. We have two cats, so we needed something that we could place in our living room just for the time our son is playing and put it away easily when we don't need it. First we got an Edushape square foam mat. But it didn;t work well, because every time we put it away all the pieces were falling out. This one was EXACTLY what we needed. It is LARGE (40X60-they should put the size on a description), very bright. The picture on this website is not a very good one-the other side of this mat has squares with very bright colorful and fun pictures, with different textures and sound and a mirrow. You can use it on both sides. YOU CAN WASH IT!!!It's an excellent product. It is poorly advertised on Target website. In fact it is very very very nice. The only thing I didn't like is the ractangular shape-I prefer a square one. But this is just a personal preference. I give it 5 stars! see less

Not only is it poor quality, but there is no way I would give this to my son to play with. The paint would get all over his hands and end up in his mouth. It's going straight back to Target. see less
