I bought a lamp with an espresso lamp shade. Looked good at night but too dark at day. I then came across this lamp shade, perfect light grey brown color!Beyond the looks its a terrible lamp shade. First its not your typical mounting style. It has a large diameter hole in the middle that goes around the lamp socket, works but itsn't very secure. Second this shade has a solid liner! It has no transparency so it doesn't glow with light. It only allows light at the top and bottom and creates these annoying shadows. It might be ok if you're looking for very low ambient light, but if I wanted that I'd just get a lower wattage bulb. What a failure of a product. see less
