I got this same floaty for my 3 year old at the start of the summer after watching my 2 year old nephew swim around the pool with ease. My somewhat nervous toddler was zipping through the water once he had this same floaty for his own (except in Spider-man). My infant was under a year at the start of the summer so the floaty was too big and clunky on him and for whatever reason I didn't just buy two. Rookie mistake---2 kids = 2 floaties...it's just easier that way! Well, at the start of September our infant was walking around, had several swim lessons under his belt and wanted to SWIM at the pool, not be held by mommy. I ordered this one from Target and little man loves it. Our pool offers life vests but they tend to bunch up in his face and he ends up being mad the entire time. These floaties sit at their chest and keep their head out of the water. I can't speak to how they hold up, since we have only had them for this one summer, but hopefully we can get a couple years out of them and by that time the boys shouldn't need them anyways. You won't regret this floaty.
This puddle jumper works great in the pool. It helps my son to lean forward versus backward in the water. Easy to put on and take off. Easily adjustable, and he can use it for several more years!
