I bought 2 of these lamps - one for each side of our bed. The assembly wasn't bad. Once I put in one of the metal rods, the rest were easy. They're a perfect size for a nightstand - not too big, yet the height of the lamp still enables space for tissues, books, even an 8x10 picture under the lampshade! This is a wonderful lamp for my living room. It is a medium sized lamp (smaller than many living room lamps) and fits perfectly where I need it. The color is a bit more reddish than I expected, but still fine. The lampshade was a bit tricky to set up, until I realized I had to bend the rods a bit to insert them then straighten them once all were inserted to achieve a balanced "bell" shape. Well worth the money. see less

This lamp was not what I expected it to be, it was much better!! I like it alot and definitely might consider getting another one for the bedroom. It looks really good on my entry way table which is black but this lamp you can't really tell that it is a dark brown color and it matches very well with the darker beige on the walls. see less

This lamp has a lot of high power LED's that put out excellent light for reading or working on the computer. What I like about it is there is NO heat coming off of the lamp and it is very adjustable. You can turn the light on a couple of different axis points and it stays where you put it. I highly recommend this lamp. see less

Bought this lamp yesterday as I liked its simplicity and bright light. Unfortunately it lasted only one day, as this morning when I turned it on it flashed once, made a hiss sound and now only 2 of the 40 LEDs come on at all. For a lamp that cost over [$] I would have expected it to use better parts than that. Will return to store and get something else. see less

The lamps are made poorly made. There is a hex nut for a round cylinder to fit on to hold the socket, obviously that doesn't work! It sits crooked, so I am going to have to use a strong glue to keep it straight. The top rim of the shade doesn't fully connect with the material. grrrr. Lesson learned, do not buy cheap lamps. see less

The only thing I didn't like about it was that the lamp shade was black but I recovered it with a light grey and white fabric and it goes perfect with his nursery! I was a little worried when I read the reviews about the melted shade, so I looked closely at it when I went to the store. If you use a 10 watt (40 watt equivalent) CFL, there's no problem. They're smaller and much cooler than a standard 40 watt bulb. see less

Love these lamps. Lamps are over a year old, get used daily and still look brand new. The mica shade is beautiful and have received a lot of "Where did you get those?" from guests. Have not had any problems with them. They are used by my 11 yr old son and his friends regularly. Have never had the pull catch like the others. They were left on accidently while we went out of town for the weekend and we did not have any "burn" issues. Maybe the others put in bulbs over 40 watts? see less
