We have been using this set for several months now and we love it. The spoons are easy for my daughter to hold and the food actually stays on the spoon (well...more than with other spoons). The plate stays on the table well and the raised edges make it easier to get the food onto the spoon. Great product...easy to care for...buy it!
We have been very satisfied with the quality of the "regular" Baby Bjorn spoons that we've been using...so we decided to get this plate and spoons set for our 10-month old daughter. It is quite pricey when compared to other baby feeding sets but Baby Bjorn products tend to be expensive--but are also of higher quality and better design. The packaging states that the spoons are designed so that it can be used for either left-handed or right-handed babies. They also have rubber handles making them easier to grip. The plate is clover-leaf-shaped to help babies get the food onto the spoon (i.e. to prevent them from pushing food around in circles). The base is also rubberized to prevent slipping and the sides slope downwards, making it harder for babies to pick up and throw on the floor. Our daughter is too young to self-feed properly, so we can't really comment on the manufacturer's claims...but we do like the anti-slip rubber parts/grips and the plate design does make it a "little" harder to pick up (or at least it buys you that extra 1-2 seconds to intervene!) but not impossible for dexterous or older babies.Overall a nice plate...if you're willing to pay $20!
