Just be sure to read the instructions and FOLLOW THEM. Reviewers on other sites always complain that their pictures fall but then also admit they did not FULLY follow the instructions. Also, I found some rubbing alcohol wipes to use, I can just imagine someone using qtips or cotton swabs soaked in rubbing alcohol to clean the spot the strips are going to adhere to. Also, rubbing alcohol may damage some paints or surfaces so use carefully. see less

When my daughter went off to college this was the number one item on her list. She used them to hang Christmas lights, her posters, her framed family photos, and more! She used the hooks for hanging her towels behind the door and accessories inside her closet. Her dad and I even built her a "Tardis" for her dorm's door. Whovians will know what I am talking about! Since damage is not allowed on her dorm walls or her door, these were the perfect solution. We were skeptical whether they would actually hold the Tardis skin we made for her door, but we shouldn't have been. It lasted all year long and when it came time to remove the door skin it came off perfectly. In fact, the Tardis will be making a return next year. I can't recommend the command strips more highly! After seeing how well they worked, I began using them at home as well. I haven't had any problems at all. Just be sure to follow the instructions, and be sure to have a clean surface to start with. see less

Someone recommended we try these to avoid putting holes in our walls. We put them up as directed by the instructions. They looked great, and we were really excited about not having to damage our walls. The downside? They lasted one week. As soon as the weather turned humid, one by one, our pictures slid off the walls. We used various types of these 3M frames depending on the picture sizes and weights. None of them worked. They all fell. We finally took the rest down to save them from damage. Not safe if you have pets or children who could get hit. We also didn't save the packages, so now we can't return them, either. see less
