I really like this pitcher. I can use loose leaf tea, which is less expensive, and the leaves do not go into the liquid part. I was also a bit worried about the hot water cracking the plastic, but this has not happened. it works really easily: throw the tea in the perforated slider, pour in half way full with hot water, steep for asbout five minutes. Remove the perforated part (if you want) and add ice or cold water to the top. see less

We have been using this jug for over 2 years. It is wonderful, cleans easily (even in the dishwasher). Ordered the Jumbo jug, but it was made of thinner plastic and just didn't seem sturdy enough. We are returning it and ordering this one again. Can't wait to get it in!!!!! see less

Was worried about the plastic cracking from the hot water, but it holds up beautifully. I make hot tea and ice tea with it. Great for loose leaf tea drinkers. The removable insert isn't too hard to clean. The plastic does start staining after a while. I've been using mine for over a year. It's been through the dishwasher. And I've also given this as a wedding gift as well. The couple have used it and loved it. see less

We are returning our due to the fact that handle on the basket broke the minute we took it out of the jug. We have been using the smaller one for a couple of years and the lid broke off, I thought this one would be nice to have since it holds more, but it seems to be a lot thinner and not quite as sturdy. Returning it and ordering the smaller one instead. see less
