I bought this Toaster on Sale Great Value. Very easy to clean and empty the crumb tray. Toasts English muffins, Bagels and warms Biscuits and toaster pastries. It also has a Cancel button. Have recommended this Toaster to family and friends. Anyone needing a Great Toaster This is it.
I used this toast a whole lot since i got it and it worked beautifully every time. It worked with all of the types of bread i put in it. The settings alloowed me to have really light or near black toast. And it looks great in my kitchen. I'd say the value for the price is pretty good too. I received this toaster to test for free for participating in the [Online Community]
When our old toaster was, well, toast, I popped over to Target because the selection of toasters is very good. The ones in the "I don't want to spend much" range were just OK. Except for this Sunbeam. I liked the sleek look, and the wire rack thingies inside the toast slots looked sturdier than on other toasters in the price range. The settings for toasting were easy to get just right, and we've been enjoying this toaster ever since!

Toasts semi evenly. One side stopped working after a month
When making toast, one half of the piece of bread always is darker than the other.
In addition, the left side stopped working after a month.
Not the worst toaster, but for [$], I was expecting a little better quality. May as well go back to the [$] [Brand] toaster and save a couple bucks.
Do not buy this. It does not toast evenly on both sides of the bread. Large bread does not fill well. The lever does not stay locked down. It takes me several tries to get the bread toasting. The dial does not have anything gripping on it and makes it difficult to turn. When you turn it it doesn't have any markers on it, so you don't know which number you ended up on. The cancel button feel like they will fall off if you touch them. When you pick this toaster up it is so flimsy it feels like it will fall to pieces.
This Sunbeam is a great toaster! I was wary of buying it, because of bad reviews, but I am very satisfied. It gets the job done. To address some complaints...
True, the power cord does come out near the front. However, the bottom of the toaster is built to allow the user to thread the cord along and come out the back. Not the longest cord every made, but long enough for my needs.
True, each slot only has a heating element on one side. However, the other side reflects the heat so both sides of the bread get toasted. The toast comes out slightly darker on one side, and I can't imagine that being a problem
Don't be afraid to buy this product. It is a good little machine, especially for the price.
I bought the Sunbeam Black 2-Slice Toaster because of:1 its low price2 its black colorThis toaster works fine for bagels or toast. The darkness control provides repeatable adjustment - just figure out the setting for your bagels or toast & use it again & again for reliable performance.Even forgetting the low price, the only negative I can find about this product is that for my counter location, it would be better if the cord came out the other side.
If you care about the look of your toaster as much as its function, this is the toaster for you. Not only does it look adorable in my retro kitchen, it has some nice extras like a bagel button and a bread guide. That's not something I usually find on such a low priced toaster. It's a must buy!
This toaster worked great when it worked. Easy to use and evenly toasted bread/bagels without over-toasting. After about 5 weeks of normal use, the bagel button stopped working and the heating elements would barely put out any heat. Decent price if you're willing to take a gamble.
This is the first toaster I've purchased in 22 yrs. My old toaster, an OSTER, was worth it's weight in gold. Never a problem till the day it broke. This Sunbeam however is different story. I got it on Mar. 25, 2013 and it even didn't wait one day before giving us trouble. We were able to toast 2 slices nicely and then the lever arms started having problems catching. The levers catch randomly but not every time you push them down. It's brand new and you shouldn't have to fight with the levers to get them to stay and lock down. I've never seen anything like this in a new product. I'm taking it back today and if Target gives me a problem, you'll see me writing another negative review but this time their customer service.
Their is one positive- it does have a bagel setting, which I guess would be nice, if we could get it to work consistently.
