It is just the perfect size and super easy to put together. It took us about 15 minutes to put it together. The door to the refrigerator has a pretend ice maker on it and opens to show 2 shelves on the inside to place items. The oven door also opens to allow them to place things inside there as well. There are 2 little yellow bins that can be placed on the shelves. They are for Recycling and the Veggies. I love the concept that it teaches kids how to recycle. It then has a little sink with a faucet and 2 knobs for the water. Next to the sink is a stove with burners. One sounds like water boiling and the other sounds like a sizzling sound. My kids think that is awesome!! It also comes with a pretend coffee pot and lots of accessories too. It has a picture frame that is attached that you can place your very own photo in. Little one got this kitchen for Christmas. She's 16 months and just starting to get into pretend play, so I wasn't sure how much use she'd get out of it right away. But as soon as she saw it, she fell in love. I've noticed that she also is much more curious about what I'm doing when I cook. We put her in the high chair with the toy version of the same tools I'm using, and she copies me. This kitchen is great quality, and absolutely adorable. It took my husband about 2 hrs to put together, and I don't see any indication that the doors are going to fall off. Wondering if they might have re-designed it since some of the previous reviews that commented about them. They're the same material as the kitchen itself, and the screws and hinges seem to be durable. This kitchen is the perfect size for young toddlers, and I know she's going to have fun with it for years to come. see less

I had been searching for a play kitchen for my 2 girls, 5 and 18 months, for over 6 months. After hearing great things about this brand from a friend, I then spotted this one on Target.com, only to find out that it was sold out. Targets price was much better than what was offered on [...]. After checking weekly for it to be back in stock, I ordered it and received it within a week. It is durable, adorable, and girls of both ages love it. Only catch is it took 3 to 4 hours to assemble. Not difficult, just time consuming. However, that is expected for items like this and there are so many great cabinets, knobs, switches. We also enjoyed assembling it with our 5 year old so she could see how it would eventually come together and feel a part of it. A little pricey, but more reasonable than most out there. Plus, I used my Target card to save 5 percent and got free delivery. We LOVE this kitchen. see less

I purchased this online for my 2 year old granddaughter for Christmas in 2011. When the box arrived, it was pretty small so I knew in was going to be in a million pieces and IT WAS. It took her Papa and Grand Pop about 3 hours to put together . . . but it is put together like a piece of furniture which means it is very durable and will last forever. This set has so far survived one and a half years in our home with two kids who are rough on toys. My three and a half year old and my one and a half year old have played with this set indoor and outdoor. It has seen biting, throwing, sand, water, and sun, and it is still in good shape. No discoloration, no broken pieces, and no other notable damage. Also, it is color plastic as opposed to painted plastic, so there is no paint to chip off of it. It is quite heavy and does not tip easily. The safety legs and "shocks" are great. My son loves it so much, we often take it with us to the grocery store so he can shop along side me. After researching a lot of different kids shopping carts I bought 2 of these for my twins. I love that it comes already put together just take it out of the box. It is very sturdy and durable. At 1 year 1 month old my boys had no trouble pushing these around. One of my little guys had been walking for 4 months and the other for 1 month so if you're questioning if this toy is right for your beginner walker it just depends on how well they get around while pushing things. They only had a few tip overs while getting used to it and now the only tip overs are on purpose. The little seat is perfect for stuffed animals and they love putting things in and out of the basket. anyone with a little girl thinking about buying a play kitchen..DON'T buy this one!!! I HATE this thing. I bought it for my daughter for xmas. I broke a piece w/ no effort putting it together. I didn't realize half the stuff on it flips and spins and therefore falls apart! You cant pick it up w/o accidentally yanking the top off of it. She keeps yanking minnie off of it, the oven door wont stay on. the milk shake machine/ dish rack broke. the whole thing is flimsy! It wont stop falling apart. I have already picked out a sturdier one to replace this when it finally completely breaks, which will be soon i'm sure. see less

As a result, this kitchen is holding up much better than competing cheaper-looking plastic products at friends' houses. Some reviews comment on the size of the kitchen, but the dimensions are clearly marked and is perfect for my 2yo now and will grow well with him - it really just comes down to how much room you want this thing to take up in your house - we haven't had any issues finding accessories for it as someone else commented on. Assembly is challenging, but if you spend the time to do it right, you will be more than pleased with the quality construction. One of the wood panels had a chip in it after shipping and the company couldn't have made it any easier to get a replacement - a very easy form on their website and it was on our doorstep within a few days. Purchased this kitchen for our daughter this Christmas. I (her mother) took it out of our van, where it was hiding, early Christmas morning, by myself (using her wagon, lol) brought it inside and set it up with just the use of a screwdriver (well several sizes are needed, like a tiny one for putting the batteries in phone, light, etc.) It took me a little over an hour to put together. Don't know why so many people have so much trouble putting it together, purhaps it's just a patients issue with them ; ) As for the kitchen itself, cute as can be! It was just PERFECT sized for our 2.5 year old with plenty of "growing" room. The counter height is about 20 inches from the ground so it comes a little above her waist. I watch a 1.5 year old little boy and it comes to about 4 inches or so above his waist yet he can still play with the kitchen easy enough, that little turd is playing with it right now, lol, he likes to take all the drawers and empty them, now hes playing with the microwave, putting things in and out and pressing the buttons, he can just barely reach standing on his tippytoes. Oh and the storage is awesome!! Plenty of room for all the stuff it came with, which is alot! Grandma purchased more pots and pans which wasn't even needed! I do recommend more play food as we purchase more, but it does come with enough to get you started. I think the stove is cute, when you put the deep pot on it it makes a boiling sound and when you put the frying pan on it stays quite until you add some food and then it makes a fry noise. see less

My daughter in law asked me to help put toogether the kitchen cafe she purchased from Target because whe was frustrated with the assembly and aked if you needed to be a rocket scientist to do it. I am a engineer so felt I caould certainly lend a hand. The back would not line up with the sides because a rib on back interfered with the proper assembly. No problem I could modify that to allow it to fit. Then the latch on the bottom feet would not latch when pressed in because a stiffening rib on the bottom piece interfered. Then the door when attached was larger than the opening. I had to give up. Maybe we got a first run of bad parts or got started wrong I dont know but really frustrating to say the least. see less

This kitchen is adorable. My daughter loves it. It's all wood, and there appears to be no chemical smell at all. Not toxic like so many new (fake) wood products. Little knobs turn with clicky sound, faucet is cute, salt and pepper are adorable, oven is great, it fits all the Melissa & Doug wood play food cookie sheets, pizza, etc. Under the oven rack (strictly speaking it's part of the oven too) we use the extra room for play food storage. Storage under the sink is not bad at all either. Overall it has more storage than I thought. Assembly took about 1.5 hours, it has a million little screws. But it was easy.Needs a side table, because there is no "counter space."Negative: Little clickety part in one of the knobs broke after one month, but KidKraft customer service mailed a few for free, right away.Well, what can I say, it's totally cute and great to play with. Uses little space and it's just sweet. I would recommend this to anyone. Beats all of the plastic kitchens that I ever saw, doesn't make our family room look all horrible, like some of those ugly kitchens do, and it's a great price for what you're getting: a quality toy. Just purchased the KidKraft Wooden Kitchen for our 19 month old daughter. She has always expressed incredible curiosity whenever we're in the "real" kitchen and sure enough this toy is huge success! She absolutely loves it! We can see that she will get years of use out of this sturdy built toy. Our favorite feature is that it is completely constructed of wood (there's enough plastic in our lives!) with great attention to detail. The kitchen assembled quite easily. The bread slices look pretty realistic and everything stacks and sticks together well. All of the slices are made of a hard durable plastic, which comes in handy for all of the sandwich-making and unmaking kids like to do. You have to cut all the parts out of plastic molding yourself and then you have to screw it together, without pre drilled holes, sometimes in areas where this is physically impossible with a standard screw driver or drill. It did take me a couple of hours to put it together, there were lots of small pieces but the end result was worth it. It is smaller than other kitchens but for those parents that do not live in a big house with lots of room its the perfect size.It fits anywhere and she can drag it from her room to the living room. I do have to admit when I first purchased it I was a bit hesitant with the microwave. til this date the microwave has never fallen off. The doors to the oven and microwave do seem a little stiff to close and open but that doesn't seem to bother my daughter at all. I actually love the plastic material it is made off because it just makes it so much easier and faster to clean. I love this kitchen and to me it was a great investment. For the money I spent it was top notch. see less

I just bought this kitchen and yes it does take forever to put together. If you use the cutters they tell you to use there won't be any sharp edges. My one year old and six year old loves it. It is very small compared to the others, but we get what we pay for. I like it because it does not take up much space. If you assemble it correctly and take the time with the screws it will stand up just fine. I beleive I will have this kitchen for awhile. see less

This high chair looks so cute attached to the Servin' Kitchen & Table. My 2 year old daughter just loves to place her baby doll in the seat and pretend to feed her & give her the bottle. You could also use the seat independently and then you child could move it wherever they want to feed the baby. We definitely recommend this set, so cute! see less

My 20 month old daughter received this for Christmas and she LOVES this tea set. She plays with this several times a day ever since she received it. It's very cute and the tea pot lights up with different colors when you press the button and pour. You hear the character's voice say different things and the tea pot makes real tea pot sounding noises like pouring. And it also it makes the sound of a tea kettle boiling to a whistle sound, it sounds like a real tea kettle actually boiling-my daughter loves it when it does that.
