The best made toy I have ever assembled and very easy to put together. All the tools work as advertised. Very safe but realistic especially the pieces of plastic wood that attaches together with velcro and then the child can use the hand saw or the circular saw to cut it in half and reuse over and over. The drill also is realistic as it makes a drill sound and drills out an insert that looks like a hole was made. Screw driver and wrenches and hammer can also be used to realistically attach nuts to bolts and unscrew them or hammer pegs.My 3 year old Grandson loves it. see less

I bought this for my 1 year old son for Christmas. And while it looks lame in the package, it IS a great toy. Every kid that comes over wants to play with it (even 6 year old brother's friends). I have taken it to the church nursery and it has been loved there too. My son is 3 now and he still likes the shapes, the music, and using the screwdriver. It is just a fun, easy, compact toy. As for the comment about the storage for the tools, they pack up nicely in the case, you just have to know where to put the drill. The rest of the tools can go anywhere. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! see less

This toy has been great for my 2-year old son. Yes, you can't pack it neatly away in a tool-molded plastic in the lid, but that hasn't been an issue for us. I start cleaning up by putting the drill in the box and then my son helps me pile the other tools on and we shut the lid. The shapes and the fact that the voice says the name of each shape makes my son repeat after the voice while he's hammering the shapes into their slots. He likes to play with the screws, turn the gears and dance to the music, bang on it in general with the hammer (and it's durable if it can handle that!), and he loves carrying it around. It's a great set. I just wish it was available at the store so that I didn't have to pay for shipping. When you look at the item online it says that it's available both online and in stores, but according to customer service in a Target I went to, it is only available online. see less

I gave this toy to my 16 month old son for Christmas, and he loved it right away. He hasn't mastered the screw driver or the hammer, but he is able to use the wrench and he loves the drill, even though all it does is make a noise like a space ship. He also loves the shapes and the music he can start himself by turning the gears. There aren't many tool sets out there for under 18 months, and this one seems to be perfect for him. The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is that I'm not sure how long it will interest him once he masters the remaining tools. see less

This toy was the greatest gift my 2 year-old grandson received for Christmas. When the toy arrived in Kansas, he was so excited. My daughter and her husband had to drop what they were doing to open the box and assemble it. This toy is a great toy for educational purposes and for making a little boy feel all grown up. The workbench is very sturdy and durable. It came with many different pieces to keep any little boy occupied for hours, using their imagination to create fun. Great gift idea! see less

My 3 yr old son received this gift on his Birthday from his aunt. He has not stopped playing with it since we put it together! My 6 year old daughter even likes to play with it together with him. This was great gift and my husband put it together quickly. Theres so much to do and I love the drawers and compartments because they put everything in there and all the parts are kept together and the room looks neat again.It's very durable, believe me, my son tears apart everything the moment he gets it. I totally recommend this product, only because it's so hard to find things your kids will play with longer than 2 seconds! see less

I purchased this toy for my 3 yr old son. We love how realistic is, the sign at the top spins, it talks to you, you select what kind of gas you want & how many gallons, then you pay with your debit card. It even comes with some tools & an air pump. My only complaint is that it is too small/short, this company needs to be more generous with size. Especially considering the price. He uses this with his Step 2 car outside, he loves to put gas in his car & air in his tires. Overall it was a good buy. see less

We bought this item for our then 2.5 year old son for Christmas and he LOVES it!!! He still "fixes" things around our home with it a couple times a week, despite the fact that the rest of his Christmas gifts have received the "they're not new and exciting anymore" treatment.The pieces are a good size for tiny hands, but large enough to not be a choking hazzard or to get easily lost. (We still have the full set!) They are also VERY durable. My son uses them HARD, and nothign has broken. The tool belt was originally too big for him, so he doesn't use it very often, but I do feel that it maybe could have been constructed a little better...?Our favorite part; he loves to show his friends how to properly use each and every tool, so not only is he learning, but he is (at 3!!!) TEACHING OTHERS as well! see less

Our toddler has had this toy set for 6 months. Actually, when we first got it in the mail from the online order, the battery powered blue drill was broken (the button was broke). My son loved it and it's such a pain to order another set and return the old one that my father in law "fixed" the drill. It broke another time since then but a couple weeks ago the actual tip of the drill where you would put the bits in, cracked and broke to the point where you cannot put a bit in there anymore. The tool belt is ridiculous as it's such hard plastic. I don't know how any small kid could wear it or keep it up around their waist. The other pieces are great though. I'm actually going to now order another set so I can get that blue drill. The drill is one of my son's favorite toys. Just wish I hadn't had to buy another one within 6 months. see less

This is a wonderful find. The tools and work board are very engaging. My son (3) knows all the names of the tools and knows why and when to use them. It is great fun to play with these. Toolbelt is a bit big and some of the tools don't fit well but they are always in use. see less

This table/chair set is a great item to have for little ones! It allows a place to eat, do crafts and simply play. It is lightweight which means it is super easy to transport! We use it for breakfast and then bring it out to the living room to play on. It's easy to clean which is great when you have two messy toddlers. I simply wipe it down when we are done using it for meals and messy crafts. No scrubbing needed. I think this will be great for outdoors when the summer time comes and for holidays when you don't have a lot of table room! I would definitely recommend it to others! see less

My 4 1/2 year old son LOVES this workshop! It is durable, has a working light, a vacuum (although it does not have a real function or make noise...we wish it did.), a working drill, ample space for storing tools, 2 different storage-like removable trays, removable jars that have their own built in place AND the wood foam pieces are so much fun! It is quite a joy when you have a happy child. We have so much fun playing with this workshop together every day creating not only fun things, sparking limitless imagination and laughter but also memories that will last a lifetime. I will be returning this item. It ships in the box it comes in. This means the box is gross and beat up. I can't possibly wrap this and give it to my nephew. Inside the box is just a pile of loose parts. I can't believe this would cost more than [...] dollars. Target would never think about selling this in their stores so I can't understand why they would try to sell it online. see less

I bought this for my LO for a birthday present and it was a big hit. Some assembly required, I hadn't even finished putting it together and he wanted to play with it. Well built and bright colors, love the little robot and truck that you "build" and all the tools are perfect for little hands. Would definately reccomend this toy. see less

In our family, Mommy is the one who fixes stuff. Because my little girl sees this, she kept stealing my real tools wanting to "help" me. This was the perfect way to give her her own tools and placate her a little. The tools are really durable and good for 2 year old hands. She still plays with this a year after she got it. My only complaint is that the tool box itself is a little small--you have to put the tools in just a certain order to get it to shut--they should use this as a MENSA test. :) Overall, great fun, good toy. We gave this to our son on Christmas, so he's only had a few days to play with it, but so far I'm very happy with it. All the screw and bolts, etc, are functional which is what I wanted, and they all fit in his hands. He is 4 and loves to take things apart and see how they work; this is a great puzzle type toy for him. The bench is put together with the play screws, and it took mere minutes for him to realize that and begin disassembly! However, that lead to us rebuilding it with him, teaching how to do it himself. My only issue is that a few of the screws seem to be stripping already and the bench's stability is compromised as the screws no longer tighten like they did. At the moment that isn't a worry, and besides that this little bench is exactly what I wanted. Hands on, usable, build-able, correct but not too complicated. see less

I ordered this toy as a Christmas present for me nearly 2 yr old son. When it arrived and we put it together, I was delighted with the bright colors and the tools. However, the pre-drilled holes both for constructing the bench and for inserting the various screws and nails were too big. As a result, the wooden screws holding the bench together stripped and the bench was terribly wobbly and falling apart within the first 15 minutes. Also, since the holes for the child to put the nails in were too big, the nail just fell right into the hole. No need to use the hammer or even any pressure, which totally ruined the whole point of the toy. We returned it. Very disappointing. see less
