My son loves his oil rig, there's several fun action activities on it and he's able to use his matchbox sized cars and microdrifters cars on this, the Disney Store cars which are longer don't fit on the ramp. We lost the missiles and little barrels pretty early on. The most frustrating thing, and it keeps him from playing with it more, is that its pretty cheap plastic, the legs fall off and the thing falls over every 15 minutes and he needs help figuring out exactly how to rotate the legs so they line up to snap back into place. It was an added bones that it came with the plastic "changer" Finn McMissille. I'd buy again and it has been one of the better Cars playsets we have. see less

I bought this for my son for Christmas and once we put it togeather it fell apart everytime he tried to play with it ! its so horrible we tried to super glue it togeather and not even that worked! The worst part, we had to throw away the toy on christmas day! my son was heart broken and so was I... completely furious and that [$] could have gone towards several better toys, money was tight as it was and i feel robbed! see less

This toy is so much fun for all ages. It keeps the kids entertained for hours. The more you shake it the further it goes and it seems as if each car has its own speed, but that could just be my opinion. It's fun to collect multiples and race or to just play solo. see less

My son is a HUGE CARS fan, we are on our 3rd year in a row of a CARS themed birthday party. He has most of the CARS toys and for his birthday got a few duplicates so we went back to Target to exchange them. He picked out this "new" cars toy. He was very excited to try it out. My husband helped him put it together and they had a blast with it. The cranking part took a little bit for him to learn and I wouldn't recommend it for younger children, but I think it is definitely something for kids 4 and older. I rate a toy by how much I have to go and do it for him, if he can't do it himself then I don't like it. It has to be something he can do on his own and with us if he wants. This is one of those toys, but again, I think younger children will have trouble lining up the cranking device with the car. The cars are very cool on their own too! see less

my son has the whole cars 2 set up for geotrax. However Mater is extremely slow even when the batteries are changed *which we pretty much do EVERY DAY! Now besides having to change the batteries constantly ....he only works backwards..so we try to make a game out of it with Mater's backward driving skills... not worth the money see less

My son rec'd this plus several other of the Cars2 set pieces at his birthday party less than two weeks ago. We are now on our second Mater car w/remote for the GeoTrax system. Both have faulty on/off buttons. On the first Mater, the button would not engage so it stayed on permanently. ---Went through too many batteries that way. I exchanged it for the same thing thinking my son had just received a "Bad One". On the second Mater, the button engages but does not stay down when you push it down to turn it off. Literally, we have to wedge the button under the edge of Mater's roof to get it to stay down and off. I actually resorted to taping the button down when my son is not using it. Very poorly designed and the price was not cheap either. Very disappointed in Mater's On/Off button. I definately would not recommend wasting money on this. Now we have quite a bit of the Cars2 set and feel like it was a wasted invenstment since the remote car won't work properly. Maybe Lightning or Francesco remote cars do not have this same problem but clearly there is a design flaw in the Mater remote car. see less

My 2 year old loves cars and has all the geotrax sets handed down from his brother. Of course, I was thrilled to find out that they now made Cars characters for geotrax. Unfortunately, this product short circuited and Mater stopped working. Tried changing out the batteries but to no avail. I will try to change for a new one, if possible. The product worked for less than 1 day and < 1 hour of use. see less
