My one year old son loves his train and animals, and this is not annoying like most battery-powered toys. Also, even though our first koala doesn't work right, online customer service was superb and is making it right (and then some) with zero hassle for me. Clapping and dancing from the little guy, and two thumbs up from me. see less

We purchased this zoo train for my nephew's first birthday, along with the zoo, some animals, and the safari truck. Honestly, the only reason we bought it was because it was the only way to get the white tiger and koala figures, but it is also a nice addition to the zoo. My nephew also has the St. Patrick's Day and Easter trains, and does seem to prefer those to this one, although that might be in part because he is totally confused by the ferris wheel, even when we move it for him. He also doesn't seem to understand that he can push or pull this one just like his other trains. Personally, I do think the other trains seem to be made of sturdier plastic and it's harder to tip them over than this one. My nephew does like the sounds that it makes when you push down the engineer's seat and I think he will probably play with it more when he is a little older. For now, it's cute and gives him two more animals to play with. see less

This piece of the zoo talkers set is not as sturdy or durable as the rest of the zoo talkers pieces. Also wasnt impressed that that the white tiger says the same thing as the orange. It doesnt even recognize they are two different pieces. This piece of the set was only bought to get the koala bear. But the rest of the zoo talkers set is great!! see less

I'm guessing this is Fisher-Price's version of Action Canyon. Finally... a fun, quality track set that holds up to use and doesn't fall apart if you sneeze. The pieces all fit together, snap securely and won't just fall apart with use like the Zip Zoom set. The elevator is awesome and takes a train plus one train car down, don't think anything longer would fit. The train can also go back up but you have to manually pull the elevator lever up on the back of the elevator for that. No problem...my 3 yr old figured it all out on his own. I also like that it has a track splitter so you can connect it to another track, which is what we did. So, for those who have been really disappointed with the quality of Fisher-Price's track sets like Zip Zoom Logging Adventure and The Shake Shake Bridge, you will not be disappointed in this set - sturdy... great quality... Fun... GET IT! see less

Great set! My 4-year-old son loves this set. This is one the few Trackmaster or train set that works both forward and backwards. It can up to the mine and back down or up to top and ride back down. We might purchase another one just because of the versatility and expandability this set offers. My son can operate and interact with every part of this set and loves watching Thomas travel up or down. We are to put other sets with this one to make more paths for Thomas and the other trains to go through. It durable and relatively easy to put together and it can be used with the glow-in-the-dark tracks. Although this set could have come with glow tracks, it still gets two thumbs up! see less

My soon to be 3 year old son LOVES Thomas. I bought him this set as his first track because he has so many motorized trains I believed it was time to get a track! Well, he loves it, however he gets frustrated during operation. The tracks become loose during play so you constantly have to check behind every 5-10 minutes to make sure it hasnt come loose. The Thomas train that comes with the set...well that is really the only one you are suppose to use, the others get stuck, or just dont really operate well. The mine shaft that slides up and goes down on its own sometimes falls by itself. He keeps on playing with it through numerous "Uh-Oh Mommy". It is personal preference really. The set is plastic and it is designed for the 3 plus age so....what should you expect right? I recommend waiting until they are on clearance or discounted is not worth what I paid for it. see less

I bought this track set for my 3 year old for his birthday. Very dissappointed with it. The track itself is sturdy to endure a 3 year old's play, but the crank is too much to operate. You have to constantly turn the crank in order for it to work, and half the time the train can't pass through the station. Not age appropriate! Returning to store to exchange for a different brand. see less

The train cannot make it ... see more

The train cannot make it around the track even once. Koko is so poorly made that her wheels don't really roll well. Even if you spin the crank with great speed the train has to first push through the "Saw Mill" lever, which makes that fake saw spin, and then push through the red divider and finally make a poorly constructed divided turn with a hill that isn't high enough to give enough speed to Koko the train to make the small hill to start all over again. It's not possible. I think my son's birthday present is going back to the store. A waste of money at 10 bucks a ripoff at 40plus. Sorry Walt Disney I wanted to like it... but you failed. PS. The track isn't even "fun" enough to play with when not using the crank and race. Bad toy. see less

Absolutely agree with the first review. My 2 yr old loves trains and was very happy to get this set as a gift and to see his favorite, Percy, motorized. Maybe the turns are too sharp - Percy fell off at EVERY turn. Luckily, he is happy just holding the trains but because it contains a AA battery, the train is bulky and tough to hold - he prefers the lighter one. I could have paid much less for a few lighter weight trains for him to hold! I did get a plastic trackmaster set, much less expensive. It is also motorized and worked wonderfully - the train never fell off. It was also flat and had no inclines. It is a good option if your kid really wants a motorized set. Mine doesn't care for it. Both motorized versions cannot be pushed along. see less

We bought this for my little train enthusiast and were totally disappointed. The assembly was fine but the bridge was so poorly made that it had to be held up every time the train tried to pass underneath. Also the train fell off the track on almost every turn. It couldn't even make half a lap around the track without derailing! It was beyond frustrating. Especially for [$]!!!!! Side note the train is battery operated and self propels. When it's not switched on the train isn't able to be pushed manually without great effort which was completely frustrating for my son since he enjoys the hands on so much more than watching a train go in circles, correction, go a few inches and derail. see less

My son received this as a Christmas gift in 2011 when he was 21-months old. He has played with it daily since then! The set folds up quickly and easily to be put away and taken back out again daily. My son gets very excited when his grandparents buy him a new train to add to the set. I also like that the set is made so that you can add additional tracks if you want to. see less

i think this toy is no where near worth what it cost it falls of the tracks all the time and is very flimsy and not made strong enough to last very long and targets return policy is terrible i got it as a gift for my sons birthday and since i didnt have a receipt i couldnt return it trust me i will not be a shopper here anylonger [...] see less

We bought this for my 3-year-old last Christmas. From the beginning, it didn't work well. It has 2 speed settings, but only goes one slow speed, that is, when it isn't stuck on or off. Even when arranged by an adult, some of the tiles (on the curves) fail to activate the train's note. I'd say this would be better for age 4+, but that only applies for the first week while it still works. Now it's just a colorful track as the train quickly stopped working altogether after only sporadic use. If the train itself were higher quality, this would be a nice toy. Don't waste any money on this low-quality product. see less
