This is a great stand and good quality for the price. It arrived in a week after placing the order. A friend assembled it in about two hours. The past reviews helped make my decision to purchase this stand. All parts were in excellent condition. I would highly recommend this. The opening for the cable box etc is just under 18 inches. I needed a tv stand for my 50" flat screen. I was a little worried about putting the stand together by myself, but it was easier than expected! Every piece is clearly labeled, even the hardware is in labeled packages so you don't have to make guesses. The instructions are straight forward with pictures to guide you. After buying a big screen TV I did not want to spend two or three hundred dollars on a TV stand. The price was right on this one, the picture looked nice, and the reviews were good. Bonus. I purchased this stand and TV at the same time and because of that got 15% off the price of the stand. Target was offering free shipping at that time too.This Wood TV Console looks really good in my apartment's living room and perfectly supports my 47" TV, which is eight pounds lighter than the max weight this stand holds. Also, it's just the right width for TV. I wanted a TV stand that had doors or drawers so that the DVDs weren't just sitting on an open shelf collecting dust. This one serves my need, looks more expensive than it's low price, and was easy to assemble. see less

I have all black furnitur ... see more

I have all black furniture, which can be a challenge to find in the first place. After looking, and looking, AND looking, I found this piece. It was priced right, was black, wasn't huge, and, the best part in my mind, has doors! I spend enough time cleaning, I really don't want to have to dust everything underneath the tv all the time! There's plenty of storage space. Only downside I discovered after I moved, is that my cable receiver doesn't fit (it is too deep, so if it is in the cupboard, the door won't shut). After I had it put together, I was impressed with the look as well. All in all, I would highly recommend this item. see less

My daughter and I put it together. It was fairly easy and we haven't put things together before. There were a few times that we didn't understand the directions and had to take it apart and re-do but all and all it was alright and we had fun. We are very happy with the looks of the piece and our plasma TV looks great on it. The only thing I don't like is the doors don't line up perfectly at the top but that maybe a simple adjustment but I don't know how to do that! I would order it again for sure! see less
