I bought this watch near Jan 2011 and used it until May 2011. I was about to take it off to play sports and as I reached for the clasp, some spring let loose --before I touched it-- and the band dislodged from the time-piece. Received my watch today and so far am delighted. The idea of not having to set the time is a little overwhelming to me but I do like the concept.This watch is just what it looks like online but a little thicker than I am used too. My main concern about purchasing another Casio watch is how long the band is going to last. Several years ago it seemed like my Casio watch band got brittle and broke. I loved this watch from the moment I put it on! The easy-to-buckle bracelet is fully adjustable- even to fit my smaller than average wrist exactly where it's most comfortable. No compromising a notch in either direction necessary, so the fit is perfect. That said, using the piece is the definition of simplicity. Each feature- time keeping, alarm, stopwatch etc. are straight forward, no-nonsense and become second nature to use very quickly. As for accuracy, I'm a stickler for having the exact time and it can be set precisley to the second. And hasn't lost a second yet.The resin case is tough but super-lightweight. Even comfortable enough to sleep with it on and use the alarm to wake up in the morning. The backlight is bright and useful for pre-dawn wake-ups and such. Quality and good looks! This watch goes everywhere with me and I've already recommended it to admiring friends who have gone ahead and purchased their own. I'm now a certified G-Shock fan and looking forward to building a collection based on this initial purchase. If you've had your eye on this classic piece don't hesitate- go for it! I have done 6 triathlons with this watch. I have replaced the twice and the battery once. When replacing the battery you have to make sure you set the seal correctly, otherwise it could leak. I really like the function for creating intervals. Cons - the band has been replaced twice. see less

This is a very sturdy watch that went through two triathlons and the prior training. It never missed a beat and was a workhorse until....the battery died (about 2 yrs). I had the battery replaced and during the first swim at the pool, it filled up with water and died. see less

THE PICTURE DOES NOT DO IT JUSTICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. it has great looks even tho the picture sucks. i have had it for two years and it is still fine. it matches my lifestyle perfectly!!! dont worry about size. i have a tiiiiny wrist and it fits fine. i dont like the compass it comes with but it is removable. the green paint on the wrist band eventually fades a little but if you dont shower with it it wont fade as fast. this watch is greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat!!!!!! see less

I own a regular "wear everyday" watch by relic, that I wear everyday. It's a good watch, but I needed something for track. I originally purchased a [...] watch however, the strap broke. So I ended up getting this watch and it is fantastic. It does more that the [...] and is more durable. It is so good that I wear it as my alternate "everyday" watch. I opened it to set it up for him and by just setting the time zone to the correct one, the time was fixed and the date was correct. Not complicated. I have worn this watch for about 10 years. I keep getting a new one when they break. It is advertized for a man, but I am a woman and it is perfect fit! On a man it might be a bit too small--- so make sure to get the bigger faced watch. Over time the rubber band has broken on me, but just the tip so it has not stopped me from wearing it out. I have also had to put a small elastic to hold the strap when the little loop breaks, but this was after a long time of wear. This is great when you don't take your watch off (even in the shower or pool). It is also great for kids in sports or at the gym! see less

I got this watch to time my runs, and now I wear it everywhere. It's comfortable to run with or to wear around all day. The functions are easy to use. It's also easy to and set change settings. If you look at the picture and read the details, you might believe this to be the Ironman 30-lap Flix watch, which sells for $49.99 elsewhere. I went to a Target store, since it indicated on this website that the watch was there. What I found was the Ironman 30-lap without the Flix feature. The difference is that you can shake your wrist to turn on the Indiglo back-light with Flix. Without Flix you have to use your other hand to press a button on the watch to turn on the backlight. There doesn't seem to be any way to verify which model you would get by ordering this, since the Timex model # isn't referenced anywhere. [...] HTH see less
