I totally disagree with anyone who wrote anything negative about these towels. THEY ARE AWESOME!!! I got them when I got married a year ago in various colors, and they are holding up great. No loose threads, no fading, still soft, still fluffy, still absorbent. The only towel that is discolored is that way because I accidentally set a bleach-covered wash cloth on it. I wish they were cheaper, but they are worth every penny!! They really are great towels. see less

I must have picked up a couple sets of these about a year ago, and I found that I was always reaching for them over my other towels. I decided to get rid of all my other towels and find more of these, but I couldn't remember where I had made the purchase. After a quick google search I was back at Target and I purchased 8 more sets. I have white, dark gray and flat gray and after a few washes I've had no trouble with color fading-maybe they have fixed the problem? These are the only towels I have had that absorb water-and I have never used fabric softener on any of them-these are just my perfect towel! see less

Wow, this is an excellent quality towel at a GREAT price! I am a big fan of the Threshold brand and this solid towel and its' colorways really envelope what I perceive to be a high quality, good-looking Threshold product. I am fresh out of college and decided to purchase some new bath towels for my new home. I washed these in my front load washer and dried in a front load dryer. I completely disagree with other reviews claiming lint/ loose thread problems. My Threshold bath towels have held up just fine through several wash and dry loads, and I still feel the new-like plush and comfortable feeling of these towels every time I step out of the shower! I had already bought these towels before reading the reviews. I was worried at first, but I must say I've not had the issues everyone else seems to be having. I washed them first before using as I do with all towels. They dried in one dryer cycle instead of 2 like my old towels. I had one towel out of ten that had a single loose thread, which is certainly understandable to me. Bought this towel the same day as a shower curtain from another site. When it arrived, the colour was not what I was expecting from the name Hot Coffee. It was very taupe/grey coloured. Luckily when the shower curtain arrived, it turned out to have the same colour on it! Other than the colour issue, when I peeled off a sticker some the the threading came out already but overall I'm happy. see less

I bought these because they were super soft and fluffy, and a great price. Even after several washings they remain soft and fluffy. However, when you use them to dry yourself off, you feel pretty much as wet as you did before you started. Maybe with more use they'll get better...guess I'll have to wait and see. I don't think I'll be buying any more though. see less

I love the color, Mint Ash. I am disappointed in how these towels leave a layer of lint EVERYWHERE after it has just been washed. The lint piles up on my comb and brushes. It leaves a layer of lint all over and I look like a baby Yeti. I thought it would reduce over time but it hasn't. I'm sure with this much shedding it will eventually have holes in it. I am really picky about towels and absolutely hate breaking them in. The lint left on my skin after using a new towel is so annoying that I had been putting off buying new ones and hanging onto some less than plush old towels. I took a chance on these because they felt soft and had such a great price tag. Hardly any lint! Even from the very beginning! These stay thick and fluffy through washing and I find them very absorbent. I have had a set of these for several months and can say they hold up well. Officially throwing out all the old towels and restocking with these Fieldcrest Luxury towels. see less

I'm usually using old used towels passed down from generation to generation. So this was my first time putting some money into purchasing a few. I wanted to get bath sheets because they're large and thick so I chose the Fieldcrest Luxury brand. They are great! [...]Very little of the cotton came off of the Fieldcrest Luxury brand compared to the Better Homes and Gardens which completely covered the lint screen in my dryer as well as leaving more on the other towels. We unfortunatley had these towels on our wedding registry in Jubilee Blue. The terrible towels completely faded and disolored after one wash. Also, some of the threads look like they pulled after just one wash. We have never used these towels and never will. They look several years old. I have both hand and bath towels in two different colors. They're all the worst towels I've ever owned. I've had them for over 9 months -- they get light use and the delicate washing cycling. They won't stop shedding fibers and fuzz. They develop pulled threads and pills. Aside from the colors, I wish I hadn't purchased them. see less

Like one of the other reviewers, my washcloths started to fall apart at the very first wash. By the 2nd wash, all 8 washcloths I had bought had unraveled edges. I didn't have a fade issue but I've only washed 2x. They are very soft and fluffy and the Navy was beautiful but what good are they if your brand new towel set is too ragged to put out for guests? I bought them in store. I have bought other brands from Target in the past and NEVER had these issues. I wish I had bought online because then I would have seen the reviews BEFORE I purchased. see less

I purchased these wash cloths, hand towels and bath towels in sienna. They wash great and the colors have stayed well over the past few months. I was them in cold water as I usually do with dark towels, and this may help the color stay. I've purchased Pottery Barn towels in the past and these are just as good! Highly recommend! see less

I have these in Curry and the color, quality, and style can't be beat for the price. The color is in-between mustard and citron - a beautiful on-trend shade that I'd been searching for. They give just the right "pop." These towels are on the pricey side, but are thick and soft and I expect they'll hold up well. I only gave it a 3 stars for value because it was bought from my children's swim school and not at Target. We had no choice, it was either get in your clothes soaking wet or fork out the money and dry up properly. The swim school carried this particular brand, Room Essentials. Surprising quality and very soft towel. It has been in the regular towel rotation and has become my favorite since. It has held up to the regular wash and dry process without any change in color or fraying. I am glad for this chance introduction, it has given me another go-to option for quality, inexpensive, when purchased at Target, bath towels in the future. see less

These towels have to be the best towls I have ever bought. I have tried so many different ones form plain towels to ones that match the bathroom decor. I bought the white so I wouldn't have to worry about fading towels the look old and so stains could easily be bleached out. Also, white towels give more of a spa feeling if you have them displayed out in your bathroom. These towels are very soft even after washing. They soak up the water and you are left dry and not moist. My husband loves them and I love them too! I plan on getting some of these towels as gifts for house warmings and weddings. see less

Very cheap quality. Bought these towels in white when I was having houseguests and needed some extras. After a few washings, they were torn and had yellowed spots. Can't figure out how they got yellowed, as I didn't use bleach and washed them with my other higher quality towels, which didn't tear or discolor. Save yourself some money and spend a few extra bucks for better quality. see less

My wife loved the colors of these towels and bought four complete sets. My first indication of trouble was a clogged dryer lint vent upon washing and drying them prior to use. After showering and trying to dry off, I knew there was a problem. I couldn't get dry. I looked to see if they were a polyester blend or something but the tag indicated all cotton.My hair was still soaking wet after three attempts to dry it. The complete purchase is going back to Target tomorrow. see less

I was so thrilled to see these towels in person at the store. All the awesome colors caught my attention and I wanted to buy some in several different colors. I ended up buying an entire set of both the solid and stripe towels, hand towels and washcloths for Christmas and I kept hoping that with each wash they would finally break in and start absorbing water. Unfortunately that has not been the case. Luckily, we haven't had the fraying issue that some people have. These towels look as beautiful as the day we purchased them, but even with well beyond 30 washes they do not absorb water AT ALL. I am so saddened that for the amount of money we paid on these towels that we will have to purchase new sets. Very disappointing. see less

We have had these towels for about 5 plus years. No kidding. And they are the BEST towels. Yes, they had a lot of lint at first. What towel doesn't? You need to wash towels 2 or 3 times before using them. It makes them more absorbent and lint-free. So I came online to purchase new ones because we decided to get some gray towels. I was SHOCKED at all the bad reviews. I'm not doubting that these folks had bad experiences, but seriously, these towels are fabulous! We got "high end" towels from a luxury department store for our wedding, and those unraveled about 6 months in. So we went to Target and bought these. No unraveling. No fading. Nothing. We do have a front loading washing machine, and we always wash our towels with only towels and sheets. I don't know if that's gentler on them, but they have held up great. see less

I am so surprised to see all the bad reviews. I purchased the towels in white so there was no discoloration to be concerned with. I have had these for about 6 months now and the seams have held together. I typically buy the Fieldcrest towel but these were a couple of dollars cheaper. They are thicker and to this day are still very fluffy when I pull them out of the dryer. I love this towel. As a matter of fact, I logged on today to see if they were onsale because I am making 3 spa gift baskets. I love them and I am sharing them with others. see less

I love the color of these towels. They're very bright, fluffy and have held up reasonably well for the 6 months that I have had them. I was concerned about the colorfastness of them, so I've only washed them alone. That being said, they are INSANELY linty. I have to clean the lint trap in my dryer mid cycle when I dry them. I also think that the lint has caused my skin to breakout, so my kids mostly use them now. And, how about blowing blue lint out your nose? Seriously. Can't be good on the ol' sinuses! These are good for "decoration" if you need something that doesn't have to be used. If you need something practical, choose something else! see less

I dismissed the reviews of these towels, having purchased RE cotton towels several years ago and been very happy with them. The color is gorgeous, and complements the lighter aqua of my older towels. That said, these are a big disappointment. Even brand new, washed once, and just as linty as everyone else has indicated, they do not have the quality of my now-several years old RE towels. I won't choose RE again, if I can't lay my hands on them, first. They're almost as bad as the cheapies at the dollar stores. see less

I washed them before using them for the first time and my washer was the color of the towels...Everytime I shower, my body is also the color of the towels.
