In late June 2013 I went to a 5 day conference in Las Vegas. I set the camera up for my iPhone to watch and listen to my dogs in the living room (my neighbors watched and fed the dogs). Anyway I watched my German Shepard go to the door with his ball and sit there and howl for me. It broke my heart but I could see them and hear them and keep an eye on everything. I also bought the Belkin motion sensor and light switch which I could turn off and on at will or program it to do so. Love This Product! Love the fact that you can take a photo or video record also.
By the way, my dogs went crazy when I got home, poor babies!
The camera is a great concept. And when it works, it's great and I love having it. Currently it's not working. Most of the time it's not working. When I first got it, I thought it was awesome. Setup was pretty easy, even moving it to different parts of the room was easy. However, they have since updated the app for iPhone and it went from having to be re-opened every once in a while to get it to work to having to re-open it 6 or 7 times to get it to work right off.
Belkin's support on this issue is terrible as well. They have email support who just doesn't respond.
I hope they update again and fix this issue, however, they have updated the app twice and both times it has gotten worse. Maybe it's better on Android.
2 nights wasted trying to get the camera to function with some level of stability. Instead it constantly had conflicts with my home wireless system by interrupting signal. The camera would work about once in 10 tries, and only after deleting the Netcam app from my phone and going through set up again. Tried accessing via my laptop per customer service but the log in screen kept flashing on and off and trying to load another site. Enough time wasted. The camera is going back.

Ill tell you why not. First off, it requires an iPhone or Android phone just to set up. [...] I went to download the app for my iPhone and was leery of the negative reviews. I went ahead and installed it. Easy to set up and it worked, but the video on the iPhone was poor. There were no controls to adjust any zoom or focus settings. I thought maybe just the phone app isnt all that good. [...] I viewed the video and was disappointed the quality was poor there too/ [...] That was asking a bit much. The site warns you that you dont have their special player installed, so I thought, lets give it a shot, it might be better... BAD IDEA, their proprietary player had worse video quality and INSTALLED SPYWARE.
I uninstalled the spyware - hopefully, scanning my computer now, and will be returning this EXPENSIVE piece of junk tomorrow.
