“Make Your Own –Olopy” is a great idea! I'm sure the recipients of our game will love it.

Pros:
The software is easy to use, and it makes you think though the game. When you are done, your product will be well laid out.

This is a great product for the average user. Don't feel like this product will be to hard to create, just because your pc skills are only ok.

Cons:
Overall, I'm not impressed. I like to create simple desktop published items like cards, stationary, newsletters. The software with this product reminds me of the Print Works software I used 15 years ago. It was novel and even cool at the time, but now such items just look silly. We spent 3 hours creating all the data (names for streets and comments for cards), then i spend another 2 hours cutting out all the little pieces and stickering them. I could have used a standard Monopoly set, sticker paper, and MS Publisher and made a much more professional looking set in the same amount of time.

The sticker sections are way, way too small. The easiest way to improve the product would be to use bigger sticker sections with multiple fields on one sticker. There are at least three separate stickers for each side of the box. Some are less than 1/2” wide. The new way would use more paper--but I am willing to invest for the time this takes.

Finally, the print paper products are low quality. I did not use water-resistant ink, but the print should not smear as easily as it does. I have created thousands of labels and mailings, and I have never had ink smear this easily. If you have other paper at home, use your own.

Overall, this is a good product if you only use a PC for shopping and email. If you have more advanced skills, just buy Monopoly and do it yourself.

bought it for xmas last yr, thinking we's make up our own little family monopoly game and it would be cool and fun. I popped the cd into my computer and half the stuff was missing [the templates and such],so I couldn't make it. Since it was past the date that I could return it, I tried to find info about the company in the box and none of that was of a help... So I have this box and all it's stuff sitting at the top of my closet, gathering dust... I can only give all the things a 1 star because I can't really give higher without actaully using and playing it.... I will eventually pull it out again and just make up my own templates, but for the moment, it's just gathering dust....
