I really don't like these...

I chose these online and, although the tray holder was easy to assemble, it broke after only having used it a few times. And when I say 'broke' I mean one of the wood pieces used to hold up the trays broke into two pieces. I could have dealt with that if the trays themselves were actually better quality...which they are not. They easily collapse when you move them as they do not clip into place. You must be very careful when moving them or you'll hurt a finger or two...I think I've said a curse word or two when we first got these.

We must have gotten a faulty set because my mother has some and they work perfectly. The set we received wasn't made correctly. None of the holes matched up, so it wasn't stable. We got two sets of handles that were actually different sizes (although neither fit right). Too bad, but they were a Christmas gift.

I had read all of the reviews....particularly the ones that spoke about the flimsly metal underneath...and how careful you had to be when putting up and taking down. Because of price I thought I would try them anyway. The manufacturer must have heard the comments because the flimsy metal is now a nice solid metal rod. Very secure and easy to use !!

I registered for these as a wedding present without really looking at other sets, because I assumed that tv trays were tv trays. These trays fold up easily when you don't want them to, and are hard to fold down when you do because the sliding mechanism is weird/cheap. The worst part really is that they are too tall. When I am sitting on the couch or in our comfy chair the table is at least 3-4" higher than I would like. The only time they're a good height is if I'm sitting in a dining room chair, and if I'm going to do that I might as well just sit at the dining room table. They look nice, but there's room for improvement.

Awesome trays for the price. We have had them since we got married six years ago and they are like new. We use the trays 3-4 times a week (for the past six years,) and they have held up well. They are not perfect, but they are inexpensive. Excellent quality for the price.

These tables tend to close on their own and will pinch your fingers if you are not careful. There is not a snap that keeps them in place so if you lift them to move from one side to another they will automatically close. I also found them a little higher than normal.

GARBAGE

We were given these trays as a wedding gift and I HATE them. They are super flimsy and there are always screws dropping off them at random times. If you try to move them closer to or away from you, they try to fold up. Don't waste your money on these pieces of garbage.

I just got these for a present off our wedding registry. I set up the stand, which was relatively easy to put together, and picked it up by the handle to move it where I wanted it to go, and the handle broke in half in my hand. The trays weren't even on it! After that, we still decided to try out the trays, and when I opened the first one, the dowel on the underside of the tray broke in half...I wasn't forcing it or anything, just sliding the legs open. These are going back to the store this minute.

I had checked the another retail price, and their similar sets were actually few dollars more, so I purchased these. You do have to be careful when setting up or taking down. You have to lift the tray level before you can slide the wooden dowel that's underneath along the rather flimsy metal support or it might bend but if you're careful it works fine. The best part is that the trays are completely assembled. (Only the stand has to be assembled.) My 11 year old son did it in less than half an hour without assistance.

We are very happy with this purchase. The only thing you have to assemble is the stand and that was easy. We bought the natural color and were pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price.
