This is a very nice bookcase. It is extremely easy to assemble. Pretty much you just take it out the box and unfold it. When I purchased it the price was [.......]but now that it's only[.......]it really is a good deal. My only problem with the bookcase is that the actual color is lighter than the dark brown color that is shown in the picture. It really is more of a dark mahogany color. And considering my living room furniture is all espresso this didn't match so I ended up giving it to my sister. Other than that it is a great bookcase.

I don't give it 5 star because honestly it's not the heartiest of solid wood furniture. I own 4 of the light mission ones since 2004. They have even been through a move. They hold up many many books. We are avid readers and have the 4 up against a carpeted floor on one entire wall, laden with books and the top shelves for snowglobes and other such knick knacks. We have children and pets. They have held up great.

I have just ordered the walnut one to go in our bedroom to hold the overflow of books we currently have downstairs. I hope we like it and that that cherry undertone stated by others won't totally ruin the effect upstairs.

I would recommend this to anyone!! It is light weight and still very sturdy! I put all of my college text books on it and it has held up for months! It is already together too which is a plus on not having to put something together!!

I bought two. I love the look but they are stained unevenly, definitely aren't sturdy, and in some of the corners the stain is already worn off. At this price I would at least expect the corners not to look worn! Just imagine how they wear. Also, upon arrival, one side was detached, I guess due to shipping, and there were some cracks in the back. These look good, but I really feel they are junk. I put it in a back room, too much trouble to return.

I bought these based on the good reviews others had left, but I was not pleased with the quality. I bought 2...one came broken, and the other was fine, but after trying to set it up, I couldn't get some of the shelves to fit onto the notches that they're supposed to snap into. The whole shelf just felt wobbly and cheap. I guess you can't expect too much, but still.

I had gotten two of these a year ago and am still happy with the purchase. The bookcases look elegant and hold up well, and best of all, were pretty much assembled out of the box (which makes them easy to pack up again!). One side of one of the bookcases came slightly misaligned, but not enough to be noticeable or to affect the sturdiness of the shelves. I would purchase these again.

This bookcase was on my bridal registry for my November 2006 wedding; I have not been disappointed since. I am a voracious reader with my genres running the full gamut from paranormal romance to full-on history. I have four of these bookcases and they hold my one thousand page hardcover books just as well as they hold my paperback novels. The added bonus is the fold-up feature that makes dusting and polishing them a breeze versus those massive bookcases I almost bought. In fact, I have to order a fifth - the reader in me refuses to be ignored and I'm grateful that the Dolce Dark Walnut Folding Bookcase can help me maintain my precious books with beauty and class.

I bought two about 1 1/2 years ago and I just love them all my text books fit which are oversized! Now I am going to purchase two more to add to the ones I have, they were so easy to put up I just took them right out of the box!

The bookcase came in a reasonable time, but there is a decent sized visible scuff that isn't easily covered up. That said, it's too much of a hassle to try to return it. I'm just going to buy one of those wood covering markers at [a home improvement store] and mark over it. The bookcase is a little shorter than I envisioned (like some other readers I now realize) so be sure to check out those dimensions.
