I also purchased this desk over 5 years ago. I absolutely love it. It has held up wonderfully. The drawer is solid as is the keyboard part. No worries about wobbles, it's as sturdy as can be. The price is better than you would think for such quality. I love it so much I am going to buy the hutch and the little computer desk.

I bought this desk a few years ago for my office, and not only was it easy to assemble, it's held up great. So I bought another one yesterday for my husband's office -- big mistake! The parts aren't labelled, as they were when I bought it a few years ago, so you have to figure out what goes where on your own. What's worse, they don't fit together -- when it came to fitting the top onto the bottom the cam bolts didn't fit all the way through the holes. I had to use a hammer to force the parts together -- not good. Huge disappointment, since I had expected the whole thing to be a breeze, as it was before. Don't get this desk unless you want an assembly nightmare.

Like somebody else who wrote a review of this item, I'm going to buy another. I must have bought my first about 5 years ago, and it has held up extremely well even after being disassembled and reassembled for four moves.
The only problem I've noted is that, when placed in a brightly sunlit area, it seems to yellow slightly over the years. That said, I only noticed this because I had a monitor arm clamped onto it for several years and, when removing the arm, noticed that the area hidden under the clamp was not as yellow.
I have always used this item as a computer desk -- sometimes with a CRT and sometimes with an arm-mounted LCD. The desk is sturdy enough that an arm-mounted LCD does not wobble.

I've owned this desk and the hutch (different style than is available now) for 4-5 years, I bought them both in store. Both pieces stood up to moving 300 miles away in the back of a horse trailer (cheaper than U-Haul), they're very sturdy, and were easy to assemble. The whole assembly still looks as good and works as well as it did the day I put it together.

Believe me, I looked around for a computer desk within my price range that did not look like junk and that was solid enough to stand up to abuse. This was the top winner on both counts. I had seen it in my local store previously and was impressed with the solidness of the construction and the simple style. My neighbor had the smaller version and she was quite happy with hers and said it was easy to assemble. During an online sale with free shipping, I ordered this one and it came in almost no time. My husband had it put together in a matter of minutes with very little trouble. I have had it for almost a year now and do not regret it. It has room for most desk accessories and the monitor plus the keyboard tray slides in and out effortlessly. I am now looking at the hutch and the console table when I have some spare cash.

I bought this whole set about 2 years ago because it was cheap, space saving, and I liked the way it looked. Well I do like the style, color, etc. but after 2 moves the desk has become very unsturdy. The drawer gets stuck also.

I bought this desk over 5 years ago and its still in great condition. Very sturdy and solid. The only problem was that the inside of the front of the drawer cracked a bit when I assembled it. I may have overtightened though. Anyway, even cracked, its lasted through two children, night school, you name it. Quality product.

My desk came with a bent drawer sliding metal bracket unattached as well as having a gouged spot on the top. It was great for the money even though shipping did a job on the item and being made in Taiwan quite frankly made the piece lack in pre-manufactured perfection.
I am on now because I need to order a hutch top for it that I did not see and was told that they did not sell at stores. So for the cost with tax and free shipping it was decent. [ ]
Good luck with yours...

About a year ago, we moved into a new home so I started looking for a new desk that would fit into a bedroom setting, but not take up a huge amount of space or cost a fortune. After searching with regular furniture stores, I decided to temporarily purchase this desk...It's been a year, and we aren't planning to buy a new one any time soon.
First of all, it's not huge and clunky, so it fits into my daughters room well without completely dominating the space. Second, putting it together was amazingly easy (as others have said, don't completely tighten your screws until everything is together). Third, it's much more attractive than I thought it would be (they really need to put up a picture of the top alone) and well worth the price.
The only con I have with this item is the fact that we're contemplating switching her computer to a desktop, and there really isn't anything to hide the wiring. We've come up with a couple of solutions to take care of that well, but I still can't decide what we're going to do with the tower if that's the type we get.

I ordered this desk on a Tues & it arrived by Thurs. I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour (you'll need a philips head screwdriver). The directions aren't very good (the drawings are lacking too), but if you take it slow, you can sort it all out.
The desk is very sturdy. Right after I finished it, 2 of my cats jumped up on it and it didn't rock much. This morning I found a cat sleeping on it.
My only complaint is that the drawer is a bit crooked. I was luckier than some of the other reviewers since mine doesn't have any damage.
